I know people can send out scam emails, I'm just scared because it says my actual bank which is RBC, but the link they provided looks a bit odd, please help.. what should i do ?

What does it mean when your account has been compromised?

It means someone has hacked in to your account. If you cannot log in at this time your password and possibly your secret question/answer has been changed. This has happened quite often lately as I have seen similar questions on this site. Once this has happened I have not seen any way to gain access to your account. Best you can do is to create another account and advise all of your contacts of the email change. =((

Click this link and fill out the form to create a new account.

To notify your contacts of the email change click on OPTION...MAIL OPTIONS...go to the left side and click on ACCOUNTS..then click on ADD OR EDIT...go back and click on MAIL again...Under MANAGEMENT scroll down and click on ANNOUNCE EMAIL ADDRESS...once you are done with what you
want the notice to say AND after adding your contactlist in the header click on PREVIEW AND SEND...when the new screen comes up and everything is as you want it...go below and send it....

Can someone hack into my PayPal account with just my email address?

I don't know specifically about that but what I do know is somebody from the Czech republic hacked mine a few years ago. I used it to pay for the tickets for my high school reunion. I gave them a credit card to do so. The incident happened a few years after the reunion, the card had expired. I get a call from PayPal out of the blue asking about my activities in the Czech republic. I told the person I wasn't in the Czech republic and my account was hacked. She tried to turn it into an opportunity to update my account. She assured me that PayPal is secure. I commented that somebody in the Czech republic hacked into their system and she hung up.

Someone hacked my Netflix. He changed my email and password. What should I do?

Informing Netflix and changing passwords is ideal.Usually when something like this happens, your computer and/or your router have a trojan on them. So you may want to reset your router to factory default (thus removing any trojan) and restoring to a clean backup on your PC. Or if it’s a mobile device, also restore it to factory defaults. If you’re not using a backup tool already then there’s a few out there. Mobile has it’s own. PC has free tools lime Macrium Reflect and Rollback Rx. Good thing to do.Finally, keep periodically scanning your computer or device for viruses. At least once a week full scan and 2 quick scans a week.

Got a strange phone call saying my yahoo account is being hacked?

Hey guys. So i just got a weird phone call from some guy with a heavy asian accent. I could hardly understand him, but he asked if i was Taryn Marie, and was my email address tarynmarie023@yahoo.com. I said yes, and he says that my account has been hacked. He told me to go on my computer and hit windows key and r, and then type www.anybc.org into the box. I didn't type in the website, worried about him getting into my computer. What exactly does this mean? I'm pretty freaked out right now.. Is my account or computer still being hacked?

Got a text saying Google Account hacked?

Its suspicious since you have never given them your cell number, and if anything is suspicious in any way, it is highly likely that it has nothing to do with your lost phone, and just a scam.

I would never reply to these messages in any form, or do anything they suggest, as that may let the source that sent the txt know that they have found a working cell phone. You may then start receiving even more unwanted txts. Check my link and the picture for an example or a message possibly similar to your own. They are everywhere if you google up the obvious, 'google account hacked text' etc. Spam messages arent just limited to email these days. I would delete and ignore it. If you want to be sure your google account is ok, check out google services on how to report an incident (my last link), log-in to your google account and change your passwords if possible, and ask your google and even cell phone contacts if they have had any odd unwanted messages sent from your google account or cell phone.

Why am I getting between 20-40 "mailer-daemon" messages daily? Help! Someone has hijacked my e-mail address!?

My mailbox is filled with messages that are undeliverable...the problem is I am not sending them! Some of the returns are in japanese also. Please help, I have tried calling the Yahoo Tech Support for several days & cannot get through. I am seriously
considering closing my email account with Yahoo if this doesn't get resolved soon. Thanks for any advise & or suggestions.
