Just Missed Flight Home No Money

Missed my flight to Duty station?

I can't believe I screwed up so badly. I know I'm stupid. I just want to hear what could happen.
I read my flight times wrong and thought it said 4pm. Turns out it was am and I missed the flight.
My orders are outdated so it doesn't have an exact date by when I should report.
I called to get a new flight and now waiting for a call back.
Whats the worst that can happen?

We missed our flight in cebu pacific. Can we still use it for the next flight instead?

yes, but you have to pay certain fees that would practically be the cost of buying a new ticket. if you are stranded hongkong or singapore then it is better to pay the required fees. if you are only for a domestic flight, it is better to forfeit that ticket and buy another one.

If I miss my departing flight, can I take another one way flight and still make it on the return leg of the trip I initially purchased?

It has been my experience that when I miss a flight, the airlines book me on the next available flight.  They know about the return flight and would not cancel it. If you're just not going to show up for the flight, you better call them and tell them the situation and ask that they leave the return booked.  You will not get refund for the outgoing flight.   If you have two one-way tickets on two separate airlines  each airline has no knowledge of the other.  So your return flight would not be messed with by the outgoing airlines.  If you have two separate one-way tickets on the same airline, you will may not get a refund for the outgoing portion (depends on the fare and their rules)  and you will still have to call them to tell them you are using the return as they will have linked them together in their computer.

What happens if you miss your flight?

Don't stress over it.. this has happened to me many times.. just go up to the gate and they will put you on the next flight to where your traveling to. I have been minutes late up to at least half hour late. they are very accommidating... but keep in mind they put you on the next available flight.. and in my cases they were major city airport.. so if your traveling out of a smaller airport their might not be as many flights going out for you.

But now I don't know if your also suggesting that you never went to the airport at all.. if that is one of the scenarios I would not know. I've postponed my flights/changed dates before ahead of time and that usually runs about average 75.00 so I would imagine not making it to the airport at all would be considered a change of flight.
