Just Once Wouldn

Is tanning in a tanning bed just once dangerous?

I wasn't originally planning on going in a tanning bed yesterday, but my two best friends work in a salon and talked me into it. Since I'm fair-skinned, they set it for only 8 minutes so I wouldn't burn. So I tanned for the first time in a tanning bed for only 8 minutes. I actually kinda liked it, it was relaxing. I did burn a LITTLE bit on my bikini area, but other than that I tanned slightly. My question is this- did I do any REAL damage? If this was my first time, and I didn't make a habit out of it, and it was just 8 minutes, is it really that bad? And would it be super bad if I just did it occassionally from now on? Thanks!

If you could try anything, just once what would it be?

I would try to go for a space adventure! The space has always been a mysterious fantasy to think of. Literally my mind becomes out of the world when I think about the galaxy, light years bla bla.Forget galaxy, if i were given a chance to step on moon that would be like a fairytale to me!!The gravityless feeling! Oh my God!Perhaps I would able to count every precious nano-second!Astronaut!!!I know all these are hardly going to be true!If i had the game ZATHURA there may be a chance though ;)Anyways thanks for reading such a midnight thaught!Photo courtsey: Google

If you were able to try heroine once knowing that you wouldn't get addicted, would you try it just to see what the experience was like?

There are many, many things I have tried, just for the experience, and those things, in due season and with reflection have always enriched my life. Some of the things had a potential for ending my life. And the risk was worth it. Other experiences are so I can have a life, and are worth it as well. I have never been particularly attracted to opiods. In fact I do not like them personally. I know this because when I neededto take prescribed opiods I hatedthe way they maje me feel. That being said. Every person will explore the things that theyhave curiosity about and to volition to do. So when the day comes that your curiosity and volition bring you in contact with this drug know what the risks are and how to best prevent or have intervention if you decide to partake. There is nothing really glamorous about the use of street drugs, really there is not. However they serve a valid use. Otherwise folks would not use them.

Is it ok to try a cigarette just once?

well all my friends smoke and i asked what is it like, they said why don't you just try it, you only live once so you might as well. i was thinking well that is true i might as well, then i thought but i don't want cancer or get hooked on it. they didn't peer pressure me so i said have you got any tomorrow they said yes, so id say i'll think about it, now i dunno what do to. i really wanna try it but i might get hooked, they said the taste it actually nice.

Is hookah bad if you smoke it just once in a while?

so like, i smoked it once, and i was just wondering if it would be not so bad if it was smoked only once in a while, like once in 2 months.
And dont answer with BS like, "OH ITS BAD FOR YOU, DONT DO IT AT ALL YOU GET CANCER" i get it, its bad for you, but i just wanna know if it would be alright to smoke it once in a while.
Also, how bad is it compared to cigarettes?

Will using a sunbed just the once harm me?

Just buy a month tanning package. It should cost like $30 depending where you live. Gradually increase your tan time so you don't burn. If you're not burning, you're not doing damage. Use an accelerator lotion like Australian Gold Accelerator to moisturize your skin and reverse the signs of aging. Going tanning one time wouldn't give you any tan. Going for a month (5-6 days a week) would give you a nice tan. You'll like it too. It's very relaxing. Great in the winter! And wait three hours to shower after tanning, then after your shower, apply a moisturizer. I recommend an aveeno or dermasil lotion with dimethicone. It keeps you nice and moisturized.

Oh, and some facts about skin cancer:
People who wear the most sunscreen have the highest rates of skin cancer.
US sunscreen companies do not follow the same laws that Australia and the UK do. Our companies use toxic chemical made sunscreens. They're making billions while promoting how important it is to wear spf in the sun, but our lotions haven't been tested for safety since the 70s. I do not wear sunscreen. When it is summer, I am not out in the sun for more than an hour a day.
The best defense against skin cancer is melanin. Your skin produces melanin when it is tanning. Therefore, having a base tan is the best defense against skin cancer.

You get vitamin d from the sun and tanning beds. Vitamin D is proving to be a top contributor of preventing cancer. when you wear an spf lotion, your body cannot absorb ANY vitamin d from the sun. 75% of americans are vitamin d deficient!! I tan in a tanning bed 4-6 days a week. Twenty minutes (or whatever the maximum tan time is) is equivalent to NO MORE than 2 hours in the sun. That is regulated. So, tanning is not bad as long as you are not burning. It provides more benefits than drawbacks. It give you vitamin d, combats depression, increases self confidence, etc. Please do some research on this if you are unsure. Sunscreen companies promote the sun as being bad only so they can sell you their lotions. I mean just look how expensive they are. And, in my opinion, our sunscreens probably do cause cancer. They do more harm than good, no doubt. And when more people get cancer, the healthcare industry makes more money. It's sick, but a reality.

If you could do something dangerous just once with no risk, what would you do?

This question is a non sequitur. If there’s no risk, it wouldn’t be dangerous. But yet, it is a question deserving an answer. There’s something I’d really like to try, though there is a high degree of risk involved. This is it!

Is it OK to try meth once?

It’s always OK to try anything once. That’s what life is all about - experiences. Your first time doing meth will 100% be a positive one… I guarantee you: It will feel like another unused part of your brain was “opened.” Physically, you’ll think you can kick the entire World’s ass. Suddenly, you go from somber and curious… to full-on bug eyed and bushy-tailed. The euphoria and Dopaminergic onset will hit you like a Tidal Wave. You’ll be so antsy and flushed - shopping at Walmart at 3am will be just like a day at Disney World. Everything boring suddenly becomes exciting. Life will appear like you’re zipping along in a time-lapse motion picture. In one split second - you become the uber-man of legend. There is nothing you can’t do. Add Porn to the mix and the true horns sprout. Yeah..When the drug wears-off in 11 hours - you are faced with just one life-changing, important decision to make:“should I stop here now, brag I tried it… and never touch it again?”or..“should I never want this feeling to end?”

What laws have people fantasized breaking, just once?

Thankfully, there is a profound difference between a society based on the rule of law and one based on base instincts.  When lawyers question potential jurors, some of the most important questions deal with juror's personal experience with the issue at hand.  Personal experience, anecdotal evidence, emotional satisfaction are all the wrong reasons for a legal foundation. My bride and I are fans of the old TV series, "24," where they routinely treat the Bill of Rights as a roll of toilet paper.  And routinely, my bride turns to me and asks if I would approve of torture to get important information if you knew there was a nuclear device about to go off in L.A.  I have to think twice because it's L.A., but I completely understand the powerful emotional forces that would make one want to use illegal procedures.  My response has almost always been, "yeah, I'd torture that guy to get the information needed to save L.A., but then I'd expect to be arrested and convicted and put in jail."I would hazard a guess that the laws most people think seriously about breaking deal with issues of revenge or public safety or what's been known as "the greater good."  People who want to justify illegal behavior are wont to argue, "what if your child was kidnapped and raped and murdered.  If you found the person who did it, wouldn't you feel justified in killing him?"  The simple answer (simple?) is that there's a huge difference between "feeling" and "being" justified. These, to me, seem to be the most serious questions about laws that people could/should break.  Others, such as robbing a bank, not returning a bag of money, and the like to me are relatively trivial.
