Just Plain One On One Email. Not Conversations

How to start a conversation over a text message?

Tell her about your job printing fake checks for a scammer. If you don't cease your criminal activities, you won't be able to text her anymore.

There are scam-busting sites that have online databases of the names scammers use, their email addresses, the stock copy/paste scam emails, phone numbers and stolen pictures. You can search for the scam you are involved in at those sites.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.

6 "Rules to follow" to avoid most fake jobs:
1) Job asks you to use your personal bank account and/or open a new one.
2) Job asks you to print/mail/cash a check or money order.
3) Job asks you to use Western Union or moneygram in any capacity.
4) Job asks you to accept packages and re-ship them on to anyone.
5) Job asks you to pay visas, travel fees via Western Union or moneygram.
6) Job asks you to sign up for a credit reporting or identity verification site.

Avoiding all jobs that mention any of the above listed 'red flags' and you will miss nearly all fake jobs. Only scammers ask you to do any of the above. No. Exceptions. Ever. For any reason.

If you google "fake check cashing job", "fraud Western Union scam", "fake inheritance bank scam" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of scams.

What does it mean, if you're the only one who initiates conversations with someone?

Might mean the other person is an introvert and doesn’t talk a lot. Observe if he/she is like this with everyone. The person may be a little sick and tired and just doesn’t wanna talk.Maybe he/she suffers from depression and is occupied with their thoughts.Maybe the person likes u and feels awkward around you and can’t talk to you. Once again observe the person. If he/she is talking normally to everyone else then this might be a thing.Lastly the person may just not care about you or maybe disikes you. Its bad, but there is nothing you can do. Just step back. If they don’t wanna talk to you, there is no need to force them. That will just make you sad and lower your worth.

How can I export all of my Slack conversations?

If you want a copy of your entire chat history going forward, I suggest you enable gateway mode in Slack, install a Hexchat IRC client on your PC, connect to Slack IRC gateway and configure Hexchat to save all the history onto a local hard drive. You can archive that history however you want and not worry about the 10,000 line limit in the free version of Slack. Note: IRC logs only support text, not files.Connect to Slack over IRC and XMPPIf you want old history, only the admin user can create a compliance export that includes everybody’s private chats. Not really a good way to go if all you want is your own chat history.

What makes chat better than email for team collaboration?

When I meet people who continue to use emails to communicate with their teams in 2018, the only one question beats in my head: Why?Why do they complicate their life so much?Today there are a huge amount of collaboration tools that are much easier than emails to stay in touch with the team. Moreover, using a good chat app you can boost the team productivity by 30 %!For example, here’re some features that are in Chanty - Simple AI Powered Team Chat and not available for you in case you use emails:Instant messagingChanty allows you to create both private and public conversation, and communicate in one-to-one chats. You can answer messages in one click using post reactions. Moreover, it provides such features as @mentions (to make sure that your message will not be lost among hundreds of others), don't disturb feature (to turn on/off notifications), pinned messages (to collect all important info (messages, files, links) in one place and have easy access to pinned content) and much more.Task managementFrom 0.3.0 version, Chanty got Tasks. You can create a task from any message in one click. You can reassign tasks, discuss tasks, mark tasks as done and undone. And if you still doubt whether you need to move from emails to the team chat, just try using Chanty for a few weeks. It’s like having 3 extra hours in a day :)

Looking for a simpler Yahoo Mail alternative?

Hi, long time (15+ years) Yahoo Mail user and I have absolutely HAD it with all of these updates....revisions......new versions and annoying complications. Every couple of weeks the screens change completely and even the basic stuff doesn't work anymore. I don't need this frustration in my life.

I just want plain, ordinary solid email service and some provider that doesn't have Rembrandt on staff venting their creative outlets every passing new moon.
Can anyone suggest a good free email service staffed with unimaginative, practical people who just want to leave everything as-is? I'm open to suggestions.
Also I don't like gmail because Google is combing 'all accounts into one', and quite frankly I don't want them accessing my email based on my Google use.

My needs are small but you'd be amazed how hard this is to find. Thanks much for any help!!!

Why do many men answer long/emotional text messages (the ones where a woman pours her feelings in) with very short unemotional answers?

I will take you through a brief tour of a human brain. Let's start with men.It consists of various small boxes for everything. They have got a box for a car, money, sports, wife or kids.I have only included few boxes for illustration. The fact is they really have boxes for everything including "Nothing". That's why they can do something seemingly completely brain dead for hours on end. A unique feature of their brain is that the boxes don't touch. When a man discusses a particular subject, they go to that particular box, pull it open and discuss ONLY what is in THAT BOX. Then they carefully close that box and put it away being very, very careful not to touch other boxes. Now a women's brain:They also contain boxes for everything, but their brain looks little different. Everything is connected to everything. The money is connected to husband and the husband is connected to Emotions and emotions are connected to insecurity and blah blah....It is like internet superhighway, and it's all driven by an energy called emotion. It is one of the reason that women tend to remember everything and why they are good at multitasking.Coming back to your problem - When a woman communicates something, they tend to write long messages because their emotions will go through all the boxes. How a man perceives? He reads the message, connects it to the relevant box and replies. Men do acknowledge the message & understand your feelings but in their own way. They don't even know that you expect a page long reply. They would reply whatever is relevant  (sometimes just a word "Ok"). And that's it - box closed, matter solved and back to whatever they were doing. I don't want to say that a woman is wrong in writing a page long message or a man is right. I just want to say that a Sandwich is a Sandwich and a Burger remains a Burger. You cannot order a sandwich and wonder why it doesn't look like a burger. That's how it is !Courtesy : Mark :)

Annoying person who stalks me but will never talk to me?

He always seems to be on my facebook and he pokes me on facebook and always messages me stupid one word stuff like 'wassup' or 'hi' and its annoyig.
But he never comments or likes my statuses or pics,or talks to me in real life.
He just stares at me.
he seems to want to know everything about me and it creeps me out.
He apparantly talks to my friends and sisters and asks abou me.
I wouldnt MIND so much if he maned up and treated me nice and had conversations with me,and ask me out and stuff, cause he isnt that bad looking, but he just creeps around me like a loser and wont really talk to me.like he doesnt want to have interaction.
