Kdcc Bank Clerk Results 2013

What is the best answer for "Why do you want to join the bank"?

I am an IT Graduate and was asked the same question. This was my answer, 'Well sir, I have both professional and personal reasons. IT professionals are well known for changing their jobs very frequently in order to get a decent salary with proper working hours. But here in bank, I can leave those worries behind and concentrate only on the job that I am doing. And personally I believe a job in the bank is one of the most respected jobs, one which would make our parents very proud. This is the least that we can do for them. ' I was selected by the way and have completed a year in bank. One suggestion that I would like to give you is that you need to basically convince the interviewing panel that you will stick to the bank once you are selected. The reason being that banks spend a lot in training a candidate once he/she is selected. On the other hand, the candidates are on lookout for better jobs and Bank jobs are stop-gap solution for many people aspiring for Civil Services. Also, many people aren't able to cope up with extreme pressure and demands of a banking job. Most of the people who believe that Banking is a very easy job are in for a reality check once they join the bank. They are unable to cope up with the extremely strenuous nature of the job and end up quitting sooner than later. As a result of all these, the attrition rates of banks are quite high while the shortage of staff is a prominent issue with most of the banks. If the panel get the slightest of hint that you aren't going to stick, then you could as well start preparing for another job.Hope this was helpful. All the Best!

What should I mention in details of computer knowledge while filling up the form of IBPS CWE PO/MT-V?

If you have some degree/certificate related to your computer expertise, mention that. However, don't mention B.Tech. CS or MCA. These additional certificates are quite different like if you have taken some course at NIIT or Courses or from other such sources, you can mention them. Otherwise, leave it blank; not an issue.

Do bank jobs come under central government jobs?

No.You must be asking about PSU banks, private sector banks are naturally not under central government.Employees of PSU banks are also not central government employees. They are governed by service regulations of their respective banks. The emoluments and perks are also as per bank rules /settlement of Bank unions with respective banks. Though wages PSU banks, RRBs and old private sector banks are similar because of industry level settlements (between IBA & UFBU), though individual banks have right to decide not to participate in industry level wage negotiations. There are probability that wages of employees of different PSU banks can vary in near future. Even pension funds of banks are separate entities and not connected to those of Central Government employees. Pension of top bank executives who retired in 1980s is meager 10000 - pension of Central Government peons retired during same period is 3-4 times. Employees retired from banks after 2002 get good pension, though still lower than counterparts in Central Government. To simplify, compare this. Bank officers used to get more salary than even IAS. Now bank officers get much lower salary than civil servants, many times lower than Railway clerk.Hope that satisfied.
