Kendrick Lamar Or Tupac

Is Kendrick Lamar better than Tupac?

Yes. I do think Kendrick Lamar is a better artist than his idol, the one and only Tupac Shakur.I’ll tell you why. Kendrick’s consistency when it comes to quality of work is simply better than Pac’s. It is important to understand that many people and even myself in the past, just praise 2Pac’s work because he was 2Pac. A rap legend in every sense of the word. Critically speaking, the production in Pac’s records mostly resembled what most artists sounded like during his era. 2Pac also lacked versatility when it came to the vocals. He sure does have some of the best voices and flows of all time that gets the points across powerfully.Kendrick blends genres. Crafts very deep and conceptual work that is always part of some kind of bigger picture or idea. The amount of critical acclaim and respect he earned with just two studio albums is enormous. If he died at this given moment (I pray that doesn't happen), people’s respect and love for Kendrick would seriously surpass Pac’s.

Tupac or kendrick lamar?

Personally i prefer kendrick i know everyone sees tupac as the god of rap and all but think about it theyre both deep and neither just rap about money and woman.I guess i also dont see tupac so high because his wisdom and knowledge of life sometimes in his life contradicted his actions such as beef with biggie but iguess he is him not perfect. But anywayz who do you think is better not from other peoples praisin of him but just personally.

Who do you prefer? Kendrick Lamar or Tupac Shakur?

I’m no expert on rap but I believe Tupac Shakur is the greatest rapper, and one of the greatest poets of all time. His music operates at the human level in a way that transcends race, religion or ideology. The and soul in his music can bring tears to the eyes of a hardened gangster just as easily as lend power to a scared and lonely kid. Tupac’s background adds serious credibility to his message, both as a child of a Black Panther and as someone who truly understands hardship and pain. His reverence for women and mothers strikes a cord with anyone who grew up with a dedicated mother and no father, especially those of us who grew up under difficult circumstances. His candid honest lends an objectivity to his social and political commentary. His lyrics are as poetic as they are musical. All in all, he taught so many of us that we could be more and gave us hope that we could actually change the world. Despite his militant attitude, he met oppression with defiance yet refused the instinct to sink to the level of his oppressors by returning the hate and prejudice they directed at him. Tupac was a great man but more than that he was a good man.All Eyez On Me’ and ‘The Don Killuminti: The 7 Day Theory’ were simply on the next level. Nobody else even comes close. Kendrick Lamar doesn’t even come close to Jay-Z, or even Kanye. Comparing him to Tupac is like comparing a firecracker to nuclear bomb, at least in my opinion. Even if you were to remove the greater messages in Tupac’s work, I’d still find his music and style to be light-years beyond Kendrick Lamar. And I don’t think even Kendrick would argue with that.Tupac was one-of-a-kind and I don’t think the world realizes just how much we lost when he left this world.

Is Kendrick Lamar the next 2pac?

The short answer, no.Explanation - Despite the fact that Kendrick Lamar likens himself to 2pac, they really are two differen rappers. With different focuses, different subject matter and with Kendrick in a whole lot less run ins with the law, he has less of the thug appeal that 2pac always commanded. It would be insane to suggest that either of them aren't legends of their generations and possibly the best of their times. however, it's impossible to give any rapper an equivalent in the past. Times have changed, rap has changed (not in a good or bad way, just change.) and therefore rappers are difficult to compare across generations. Just look at rappers like Jay Z whose rap in American Gangster and Watch The Throne couldn’t be more different. In terms of status as a grea rapper, Kendrick Lamar could be “the next” 2pac. But other than that. No…

Why do many people say that Kendrick Lamar is the new Tupac?

Because people lack the capacity to understand Kendrick as Kendrick, and they lack the capacity to understand Tupac as Tupac. Everything has to be reduced to some category that can be swapped out with a newer model. There is only one Tupac. There will never be another Tupac because the circumstances of the world will not revert to 1994. Tupac is a radical, and Kendrick is not a radical. Kendrick touches on civil rights issues in many of the same ways that Tupac did, but Kendrick is going with the flow of society. Kendrick isn't disrupting so much as enlightening, kwhereas Tupac was truly bucking against societal norms and putting his life on the line in order to live his values and beliefs.

Kendrick Lamar the next Tupac, Agree/Disagree?

When i first heard Kendrick he had already released Section 80, i first heard 'Swimming Pools' & i thought well there's another one-hit new comer but after listen to Good Kid, M.A.a.D City i'm a fan pro'lly one of the best albums in the game. Kendrick is real most of the time talking about life experiences, crime, drugs & violence much like Pac, his Plato weighs more than Young Money combined (I'm no hater by the way) actually i can't compare him with them, i can picture him a living legend in the game 5years down the line, i want to hear your views please

Who agrees that Kendrick Lamar is better than Tupac? His poetic and storytelling skills are superior.

K. Lamar stands out more lyrically do to the fact that rap music as a whole has become so diluted do to lack of skills, laziness and social media.Tupac stood out amongst a crowd of a dozen or more rappers that were also praised for their mic skills such as Jay Z, Biggie, Most Def, Big Pun, Nas, Dr. Dre, Black Thought, Ice Cube, Tech9 and Andre 3000 just to name a few.K. Lamar has way fewer constituents of his pedigree who emerged on the scene at or around the same time he did. I can only think of J. Cole and Logic off the top of my head.
