Kindly Solve This Problem

Kindly solve this problems?

Both questions have been framed in quite a confusing way. So you have to understand them and then logically arrive at a conclusion.

1) Alok Has to maximize the value of N, This statement, in other words, means that he has to maximize the value of X and Y and minimize the value of Z, since N = X + Y - Z
Now, the values he can assign range from 0 to 9 but it is not under his control that to which variable are these values assigned. The best possible combination that Alok can choose so as to achieve the highest possible SURE value of N is 9, 9, 9. This is because if he would reduce any number out of these, then Bhanu would substitute that lower value for X or Y (assuming that he is intelligent enough!) and that would lower the value of N. Thus, N would be 40 + X + Y - Z = 40 + 9 + 9 - 9 = 49 - (Option A)

2) Again, we have to logically change the statement "with at least one person in the set" to "with only one person in the set" so as to minimize the number of elements of the set. Now, since 33 is a big number, we will try the same thing first with 9 people. Now, the best way logically would be to go by the pattern "a1 a4 a7 a1"
This is because, when we leave two people, the two people in between have shaked hands with EXACTLY two people in the set - one with the person before him and one with the person after him.
Going by a similar pattern, the smallest set would be {a1, a4, a7, a10, a13, a16, a19, a22, a25, a28, a31} = 11 people (Option B)

Hi. kindly help me solve this problem?

A company employs for classes of machine operators (A,B,C,D). All new employees are hired as class D and through a system of promotion, may work up to a higher class. Currently, there are 200 class D, 150 class C, 90 class B and 60 class A employees. The company has signed an agreement with the union specifying that 20 percent of all employees in each class be promoted, one class in each year. statistics show that each year 25 percent of the class D employees are separated from the company by reason such as retirement or death. similarly 15 percent of class c, 10 percent of class B and 5 percent of class A employees are also separated. for each employee lost, the company hires a new class D employee.
required:-
1. The transition matrix
2. The number of employees in each class two years after the agreement with the union.
3. The equilibirium state in number of employees

Q1) Aslam finds that an increase in the rate of interest from 4 7/8 % to 5 1/8 % per annum increases his annual income by Rs.25.His investment is ?

1.05125 = investment plus interest at 5 1/8%
1.04875 = investment plus interest at 4 7/8%
x = investment

(1.05125-1.04875)x = Rs. 25
0.0025x = Rs. 25
x = Rs. 10000

Q2) A shopkeeper sold a pen for Rs.13.20 to make a profit of 10% .In order to earn a profit 15%, he should have sold it for?

x = cost

1.10x = Rs. 13.20
x = Rs. 12.00

1.15 (12.00) = Rs. 13.80

Q3) Babar spends equal amount in buying two types of oranges at the rate of 5 oranges for a rupee and 10 oranges for 3 rupees.The average cost of the oranges will be?

(5 oranges for 1 rupee) and (10 oranges for 3 rupees) =
15 oranges for 3 rupees and 10 oranges for 3 rupees =
25 oranges for 6 rupees =
25/6 = 4.17 oranges per rupee OR
6/25 = 0.24 rupees per orange

Kindly solve this problem with Hypothesis Testing?

a company selling machinery to a manufacturing plant claims that a more sophisticated machine has been developed. this new machine will exceed the output of the old type of machines and runs it along with the old ones of 10 consecutive days. the results are follows:

Average output of old machine:
10 8 9 9 12 11 10 13 11 12
Average output of new machine
12 10 14 16 15 11 12 13 17 16
is there sufficient evidence to support the claim of supplier of machines? use σ = 0.01

that is the problem given, kindly answer this problem, identify each given, the mean, the N, the μ, and the other things needed to solve the hypothesis testing.

Problem on solid mensuration, kindly solve?

V = pi/3 r^2 h

cone half angle is theta = atan( r/h )
r = h tan theta
The first cut from the point will have a altitude of h1 and a radius of r1 where
r1 = h1 tan theta
V1 = pi/3 h1^3 tan theta = V/3 = pi/9 h^3 tan theta
h1^3 = h^3/3
h1 = h / (3^(1/3))

The second cut from the point will have an altitude of h2 and a radius of r2 where
r2 = h2 tan theta and
V2 = pi/3 h2^3 tan theta = 2V/3 = 2 pi/9 h^3 tan theta
h2^3 = 2/3 h^3
h2 = (2/3)^(1/3) h

Pass a plane containing a vertex of a rectangular parallelepiped and a diagonal of a face not containing that vertex to cut a pyramid from the parallelepiped. What fraction of the volume of the parallelepiped is the volume of the pyramid thus cut off?

Kindly Solve this Statistical Problem in Details?

According to the U. S Bureau of Labor statistics, the average weekly earnings of a production worker in 1997 were $ 424.20. Suppose a labor researcher wants to test to demine whether this figure is still accurate today. The researcher randomly selects 60 production workers from across the United States and obtains are preventative earnings statement for one week from each. The resulting sample average is $435.70. Assuming a population standard deviation of $ 33, and a 5% level of significance, determine whether the mean weekly earnings of a production worker have changed.
