I'm an American High School 12th grader looking to possibly go to college in Ontario. I just wanted to know out of these schools which ones you would recommend I look into.I am in the IB program and my grades are good for school, but my IB test grades aren't so great and there is a good chance that I will not get the IB diploma. How many colleges & universities does Edmonton, Alberta have? Is the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology a college or university?
Edmonton has four universities. The University of Alberta is a large highly accredited university with a large research facility and teaching hospital attached to it. Grant MacEwan University is smaller but also highly accredited. However Grant MacEwen has a limited number of degree programs unlike the University of Alberta. Concordia University and Kings College University are very small Christian based universities that also have limited degree programs which primarily consist of religious studies, education, public health, chemistry, biology, drama and economics. The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is an excellent technical institute that offers a huge number of 2 year technical programs and 4 year degree programs. It teaches everything from welding and carpentry to computer engineering and business. It is truly an amazing institute with an excellent reputation. Personally I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts degree in early civilizations and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I’m currently doing my Masters in Nursing Research. My brother graduated from NAIT with an architectural drafting certificate and now runs his own highly successful design and building firm. My sister graduated from NAIT with a welding certificate and is now a journeyman welder and steel worker holding all tickets available in both trades. I found highlighting PDF readings to best, but then also writing summaries in word.don’t be afraid of office hoursmake sure you use proper etiquette in emails with Professorssubject should include course codedon’t assume they know youaddress them formally, write in complete sentencesjoin a club during clubs week, there are so many different kinds and it makes it easier to make friends and feel involveddon’t be afraid to make friends with the people who sit near you in class (if you don’t know them), I have met some great ones that wayreach out for mental health help if you need it, services on campus are available through the Student Development Center (SDC), the Wellness Education Center, and Student Healthif you have a disability that may impact your studies make sure to register with Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)know that Western offers a tax service for freedon’t hog a big table in any library to yourself if groups cannot find anyuse the tunnels as much as possible in winter and DRESS WARM, don’t be one of those first years that tries to look cool by not wearing enough and freezes their *** off while trekking up UC hillknow that the transition into university can feel rough at first when the workload starts, but you can do it!understand the module process for you degree as best as you can, and grading policies
What are the best colleges/universities for Political Science?
Columbia has an excellent Political Science department. I am a Soc major, but I have taken a few poli sci classes and the professors I have had have been amazing!
How should I choose between UWO and UVIC? I have been admitted to finance and economics respectively.

Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?
