Knights Templar Weapons

How well trained were the Knights Templar?

The Templar, as all contemporary knights were trained extremely well. They have been professional soldiers, trained on all categories of weapons available on a daily basis. This statement is based on historical and archaeological facts.People often carry misconceptions, fostered by to much impact of Hollywood movies, on how medieval warriors were fighting. The most important part of the weaponry was defensive. Protection against all kinds of weapons, close distance or far distance, formed a crucial part of the warriors fighting technics. It defined the tactic, how to behave on a battle field or in a duell. The most expensive defensive weapon was the chain mail. A young knight was trained from scratch on all aspects how to correctly wear and use the protection it offered and which side should not be turned to the enemy. Even more essential was to know how to use the shield, which was also one of the most important offensive weapons as well.Physical fitness, endurance and muscle power, were already identified as the basis of a succesful fight. Physical strength was trained daily in a gymn like fashion, together with horse riding. The shield was comparably heavy, mainly consisting of wood with occasional steel applications, such as a steel thorne at the lower tip, suitable to effectively attack and wound the opponent. The shield had to be handled actively, not only to protect the knights own body, but as well to act against the defence of the enemy. The warrior was always keen to out maneuver his opponent by moves against his body with the shield, in order to create a moment of insufficient defence to than use the sword, wether in thrusting or stinging moves.Fighting tactics, in a closed group or single in face to face fight, were trained under the guidance of experienced, battle proved masters. Such masters were quite famous and prominent leaders of knights divisions. The knights were, in regular battles, always supported by their men. They were less good equipped and trained, and often lifetime subjects of their noble masters, the knights.Without the excellent training of knights like the Templars, the crusader states would not have survived for such a relatively long period within the muslim environment of the Holy land.

Ninja vs Templar knight?

Well if this Ninja Assassin you're talking about is in a hypothetical first dreamspace with this Templar Knight then this is how it should all work out:

Ninja uses Sleeping Dart. It's very effective. Templar delivered to second dreamspace. Ninja fights mind security with Large Guns. Templar looks at carpet. Templar use WTF MATE???. It's very effective. Templar uses Leap of Faith off 657 story building. It's very effective. Templar knocked back to first dreamspace. Ninja uses Karate Chop. It's not very effective. Templar uses Broad Sweep. Ninja uses Dodge. Ninja uses Smoke Bomb and escapes to nearby rooftop. It's very effective. Templar uses Crossbow. It's very effective. Ninja knocked back to first dreamspace where he dies slowly of his wound. Winds up in 344444456577th dreamspace. Templar is confused. Templar goes mad. Templar uses Suicide. It's very effective. Templar and Ninja lost in oblivion.

LOSE = LOSE

What horses did the knights templars ride?

Templars rode big, heavy, strong war horses, but only in battle - the horse needed to be fresh and strong for battle,so the knights could utilize their main (in fact their only) tactic - an immediate high speed impetuous charge intended to smash through the enemy - to its greatest advantage.

For day to day riding and travel,Templars rode a smaller horse called a palfrey. The war horse was thus kept fresh for battle.

What were the Knights Templar morals and duties?

I have to explain the Knights Templar beliefs and morals in an essay. I dont need to explain much about the history of where they came from or who else was involved. My essay is on, How to be a Good American citizen

What did the knights templar find under solomons temple?

The stories go that the knights Templar used Solomon's temple to store the holy grail. As far as I'm aware, they were never accused of finding something there.

Some accounts suggest that they used the ground underneath the temple for storage of horses and weapons (some sources even saying this was over 100 foot square!)

Another source claims that they had effigies of some strange idol they worshiped, where they'd rape children, and have gay sex with each other, and this was all under the temple of Solomon.

No evidence of either of these have been found, which makes the whole thing ring very untrue to me. I personally believe the Templar's were innocent all the way through

Who would win in a battle, 300 Spartans or 1000 Knights Templar?

This is rather unfair if the Templars are fully armored with medieval weapons and equipment. Knight's Templars win by sheer numbers. If we even out the numbers, the Knights Templars still win. 300 Knights would utterly destroy 1000 Spartans. This is a simple case of a technological edge on the Templar’s side. Spartan’s primary weapons are made of bronze and iron while the Templars use steel. The Templar’s were also covered head to toe in armor. A Spartan weapon probably couldn't even pierce a Templar’s steel armor. This is ignoring cavalry on the Templar’s side.

300 Spartans (Thermopylae) vs 300 Knights of Templar ( Montgisard), who'd win?

The 300 lead by Leonidas (same ones from Battle of Thermopylae)

VS

300 Knights of Templar lead by Grand Master St. Amand (same from Battle of Montgisard)

So if they had a battle which army would walk away victorious?
