Know Any Good Apocalypse Or Post-apocalypse Movies Of Netflix

What are some good post-apocalyptic movies?

I'm sticking with films that really are about, and primarily center around, a post-apocalyptic world, not films leading up to it or with only a few minor scenes in the apocalyptic landscape, or films in which the "apocalyptic" situation is not global. Also, some films are technically during a period that's after a global apocalyptic situation, but that setting is not really dominant in the settings or isn't the primary operating "reality"/world of the story -- like the Matrix films, which are set in a post-apocalyptic land but also have as their real main operating "world" the computerized Matrix itself, so it feels less like the apocalypse is a consistent dominant thematic element.Anyway, I think people who are usually seeking out post-apocalyptic fare are looking for a certain kind of setting and focus and feel to the films, and as such I like to try and stick more strictly to that kind of film for my own listing of films of this type. Some of the best feature films:The RoadMad MaxThe Road WarriorTerminator: Salvation (the other films in the series didn't have enough story taking place in the post-apocalyptic period, so I personally don't count those)Twelve MonkeysDawn of the Dead (both versions)A Boy and His DogWALL-EOn the Beach2012Notable great TV movies:Threads (a horrifying, UK equivalent of The Day After but far more realistic and nightmarish)The Day AfterWhen the Wind BlowsThe Stand

What are some good post-apocalyptic shows on Netflix/Hulu/Showtime?

I really liked Zoo on Netflix. Zoo is about animals, who we all know are mostly afraid or humans because humans are the dominant species, mutating into these animals or beasts that are not afraid of humans and fight back. The first season was phenomenal, the second season was pretty good, and the third season was just good. The show was cancelled after the third season. There are 39 episodes in total and most are quite long. I highly recommend it.

What is the best post apocalyptic book/movie/TV show that you have ever seen/read?

For a book, it has to be the Black Tide Rising series by John Ringo. A man-made zombie like virus is released, Killing billions of people, the story focuses on a family of four who survive, rescue other survivors and attempt to rebuild society, while killing all the “zombies”.The best TV show in my opinion would be The Walking Dead (TV Series 2010– ).The best movie has to be Zombieland (2009) it is just hilarious.

What are the best post-apocalyptic TV shows?

I can only think of two, and they are hardly separate shows. The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead.Examples of post-apocalyptic shows done poorly: NBC’s Revolution and Fox’s The Last Man on Earth. Both now mercifully cancelled. In between, I’d place SyFy’s Z Nation. Not remotely as bad as Revolution and Last Man, but not nearly as good as TWD and FTWD either. Just a good show to watch when you realize that it’s about to come on.Netflix’s Black Mirror has has some pretty nice post-apocalyptic episodes. I’m thinking in particular, the season 4 episode Metalhead, where robotic, weapon wielding dogs with super-senses have all but wiped out humanity.

Which apocalypse is scarier?

I think the scariest would be Silent Hill. I mean, it's basically Hell on Earth, a waking nightmare of everything you're terrified of. It's all of the others, and more, on steroids.

Probably the zombies are hardest to beat. Vampires wouldn't *want* to destroy the world, or even humanity, they need us to survive. Which is okay if you don't mind being kept like cattle in pens, but whatever. Silent Hill would be tough to beat, not gonna lie, but still one guy generally manages in the games/films, so everyone as a whole should be able to be pretty good there. Robots seem like they might have a simpler technological solution, like EM radiation or something, or computer viruses... But zombies, the virus would spread like wildfire, the infrastructure would quickly disappear and you'd have real problems finding some kind of cure or immunization before it frankly becomes too late.
