What happens if my stolen SIM is used? Will my account be charged?

If someone stole your SIM card and uses it to place calls or anything else, you will be charged for it because the SIM card is linked with your phone number. In order to avoid that, you will need to call your provider as soon as you realize that it has been stolen in order to block it from the network. After that they will tell you what you need to do.(it depends from one provider to the next)

If I call a friend through Messenger, will the call show up on my cell phone bill?

Assuming that you have a postpaid connection because you mentioned cell phone bill and that the postpaid connection comes with a certain data package. As long as you have an active data pack you should be in the clear cause. Messenger doesn't take a lot of data for voice calls. If your question is more inclined on the fact if the number would show up. Then the answer is a straight no. Since it is data being consumed it will be logged as a data package transaction. So nobody will know.Cheers.

What do you do if you've lost your SIM card?

IMMEDIATELY call your cell phone company (operator) which issued the SIMcard and report it as lost or stolen. They would CANCEL this SIM card on their systems so nobody who potentially finds it can use it...(and hurt your finances by using phone calls or data plans with your SIM).   Then your number (or "number" or data plan...or whatever you have with them) could be set up in a new SIM card which, of course, you have to physically get and install in your phone.Your cell phone company may charge a fee for replacing the lost SIM card.

What happens if you swap sim cards?

The answer by James M. Hill is quite thorough. So, only a few things added here.Think of each SIM as a separate account (whether on the same or different carriers) for use on the cellular network. After you remove one SIM (typically requires a power-off or battery removal), the phone stops using the network of the carrier who provided that SIM.Insert the next SIM followed by a power-up, and the phone registers on the network of the carrier who provided that SIM and receives service, assuming that the SIM is properly activated, of course.Essentially that simple, although there are some nuances.
