My family hates kpop?

Okey,I'm a big fan of kpop. And I usually listen to kpop all day. Just a minute ago my mother came into my room and start yelling at me because I was watching "danger" by f(x). She said something like "don't watch that creatures! they aren't humans! how can you watch them? they're so ugly!"
My brother said to me "they're all gay" when I was watching SuJu. Only my father doesn't care about my music. But my brother and my mother look at me like I'm crazy. "How can you listen that music?" We're from Europe and we are white. I don't have any support from my family and my friends. They just think that I'm stupid because of I like kpop. So what should I do?Just continue to listen kpop and don't care about what my family say? My mother thinks that all Asians are ugly, no offense to anyone. I can't explain her that I really like kpop and Asia. When I found out about Japanese earthquake I was watching news and she told me something like "you're really are stupid. why do you care about they?"
Sorry for my bad english.
And I know that my question is stupid, but I don't know what else to do.

Am I the only one that hates it when kpop fans...?

To be honest, I am a KPOP die-hard fan. I can easily say KPOP is my life. Am I Korean? No, in fact I'm no where close to being Asian. However, I can see where your coming at. I can't say I don't bash American music, because I do. But it's only certain rappers and rap songs. I can't stand American rap, the only rap I like is whats in KPOP. Don't get me wrong there are exceptions like I tried by Bone Thugs In Harmony. But that's because I was raised a rocker. I guess these days we're all just looking for something different.

These days many of the fan groups have been going overboard. There are so many Fan Wars going on right now. For example, Sones vs. ELFs and KPOP vs. American, these are things we can't so easily avoid. No matter how much we try to get along there is always going to be someone has to put there two-cents in and there's going to be a backlash. There are many reasons why there are fan wars. For all we know it could just e some kid who wants some attention and is starting them on purpose. But when you think about it we all have different tastes so it's not a surprise people will argue.

In my own opinion, KPOP is still KPOP no matter how well known it gets. I used get mad too sometimes when I found out how popular it was getting, but know I'm one of those people who shows of the MVs to others.

I'm sorry I wrote a novel ^__^;; I just wanted to add my opinion~

What do you hate most about new Kpop fans?

There are so many things I can say right now.. I mean we were always NEW Kpop fans at some point of time, and we might have done some of these without realising, but there are some people who exaggerate so much, that it just annoys me a lot.Thank You so much for the best question on Earth.Them lying about when they joined their bias group: There are many people who lie about when they started stanning their bias group. They might say they became stans around 2–3 years ago or “OMG IVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN”. I’ve caught many people lying red handed, and it annoys me more than you can imagine. I became a V.I.P in 2015, I became an Army in 2016, an EXO-L only in 2017, and a Blink at the end of 2016, and i’m not ashamed of it.Koreaboo culture: Honestly this might be just what everyone does i the beginning. Using words like “OMO” and “AIGO” and “ANNYEONG”. I mean we all know the “yeobosaeyo” phone call. Then trying to undermine others stans: If you’re a new stan in the fandom, please don’t try and contradict what older fans say just to prove your own point. I understand it’s a natural tendency to get defensive about your own knowledge about KPOP, but please, please, don’t. We’re all a part of the fandom, and we should cherish and love each other and our bias groups. :)Them stanning or talking about only one person in the group: All kpop fans who’ve been in the industry have a radar, whether you’re a solo or a OTx stan ( x being the number of members). It really vexing when a person only talks about their bias or who they think is the best in superiority. They only listen to title tracks and call themselves “hard-core” stans.Possessive nature: ugh, just ugh.I may have appeared to be harsh, but this is just my opinion on the topic. I apologise if i seems mean to some of you, but i don’t apologise for my opinion. Just remember, we came up above the barrier of language and succeeded in proving that music is a universal language.Thank You and have a good day.

What would you do if you had parents that hated K-pop because they couldn't understand it and they don't like all of the choreography?

I also used to have the same situation. When I first got into K-Pop, I showed my parents BTS’ Not Today MV. There responses were (my dad especially) “They got plastic surgery” and “They all look like girls”.I was surprised at first, since I was still new, and researched about it. There were only rumors about plastic surgery but I was still skeptical. I couldn’t help but fall in love with them anyway and just let the fandom consume me whole. My parents didn’t really support my liking of K-Pop idols at first, and they’re not appreciative of it now either. But through those times I learned how to block out their opinions and let myself have my own views.I had some friends who disliked my new-found obsession with K-Pop, especially one friend hated K-Pop with passion and used to always poke fun at how they look. All of my classmates know I like K-Pop as of now, and some of the homophobic ones said that K-Pop is just full of “gays”.I remember just a few days ago, my friend was talking about music to a substitute teacher and the topic of K-Pop came up. He mentioned to the teacher, “Oh yeah, Serena likes to listen to K-Pop.” Then out of nowhere, one of my classmates perked up with, “Ew, K-Pop is gay.”I had earbuds in, but I heard what he said (loudly) and was a bit offended and taken aback. But I didn’t react, and pretended that my music was too loud for me to hear his ignorant opinion. And honestly who cares anyway? “Gay” shouldn’t even be an insult in the first place.By now, my parents have gotten used to my fangirl business. Ever since K-Pop, I let the genre/industry positively change me. I especially learned how to respect other people’s views and be more open-minded. I started taking care of my hygiene and appreciating my cultural background (which is Chinese; I feel proud that there are some Chinese idols representing my country). One thing to keep in mind is that: don’t get annoying with your obsession. That’s how one of my friends turned into an anti. Respect that some people have no interest in it and if they don’t like you talking about K-Pop, then stop talking about K-Pop. It’ll only make them hate it more.

How come when I say to people that I hate Kpop, people thinks I'm racist?

Well I'm Korean and I don't like kpop too but I love my country. Most of my friends like kpop though so whatever. But the thing about kpop is that I look at kpop the way an american looks at Justin Bieber. But to answer your question, it's because liberals are on the rise so if you don't like every aspect of someone's culture, you are deemed as a racist. Liberals and their race cards lol.
