Why is my Windows 10 slow? I have a laptop with 16 GB RAM and core i7 2.4. I did everything written on the internet, but it is still slow and has a lot of bugs.
I have a laptop with nearly identical specs, specifically a Dell 5559. It was excruciatingly slow at times. When I opened Task Manager, the 1 TB hard disk was nearly always thrashing at 100% but the processor and memory were seldom running above 50% capacity - and usually much less. That’s a pretty good clue of where the bottleneck was. I replaced the spinning drive with a good Samsung SSD and now the little machine runs lightning fast.Task Manager is an excellent built-in tool for troubleshooting performance problems. Open it up in detail view and run some programs while watching activities under the Perfomance tab to see which component is the bottleneck. Also open the Process tab and see if there are any programs hogging resources.Since you have an i7 processor and 16 gigs, I would bet that your hard drive is the problem.If not, and you find some resource-hogging program processes under the Process tab, kill them and and see if that helps. Don’t kill any Microsoft processes that you are not sure of; they may be essential to the OS. But, if you do cause a crash, a restart will also start up the essential processes once again, fixing your error.
My laptop is very slow to wake after sleep. How do I fix that?
I assume it didn't always take so long?Make sure you have free space on your hard drive: at least 75-100GB. Make sure you have a utility that defragments your hard drive in the background and that will defrag your registry and hibernation file. I use Smart Defrag by IObit Best Free Disk Defrag SoftwareMake sure you have a good registry cleaning utility to get rid of junk in your registry file. CCleaner is good. CCleaner - Free Download - PiriformAlso make sure to uninstall any software you don't use any more. I use Advanced Uninstaller Pro, which also cleans your registry and deletes temp files, clears browser data, etc.... After uninstalling software it will search through the hard drive for other related files folders, etc... And let's you delete things that won't be deleted by the Windows Uninstaller. Advanced Uninstaller PROUnfortunately, as good as Windows gotten about not having to wipe the machine and start fresh, it still needs to happen sometimes to restore performance.

It might be having trouble ending a process or closing a background program. Before you shut down, push control alt delete all at the same time, fast. A window with tabs will appear, with a tab for programs and another for processes, check both of these for something that is followed by (not responding). Right click on anything that says that, and select "end now". You may or may not get a dialog that says that you may lose unsaved information in the program. Push "ok" or "yes", depending on how your preferences are set up. Once you do that, or it doesn't work, unplug your computer from the wall, close the lid, and remove the battery for 15-30 seconds. This should solve the problem. If not, you'll probably need to go to firedog or other service professional to find out what the problem is. It's usually some program that isn't working quite right.

I had this problem too.At 1am in the morning i sent a whatsapp message and slept.I placed a alarm,but it didn’t ring when i woke up it is 10am.Then i checked the phone and it is dead. So i put it for charging and went to daily routines. After 15 mins i checked the charging light is not blinking.then i was scared i tried to switch it on by pressing power key.Unfortunately it was not working.I tried several time switching on,but no luck.so put it for charging for 3hours.Then i tried to switch it on .I searched on internet and tried different solutions given.Later i pressed power on button for 1mins.Then the phone switched on and it is working fine now.
