Why is my laptop touch screen not working?
Hi. I have a lenovo ideapad s400 touch. I just bought this laptop a few weeks ago and i updated to windows 8.1. Everything was fine, but a few weeks after updating, the touch screen recently stopped working. I was wondering if there is a fix for this issue. I have tried to find drivers on the lenovo website but have failed to find a driver for the touch screen component. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I have the same model as you and I have been having the same problem. I recently updated to 8.1 as well. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work at all, sometimes when I am on the Windows 8 home screen (with all the apps) instead of scrolling, the apps just minimize or maximize.... I'm really annoyed. I think it may be more of a Windows 8 problem or software related rather than a Sony-related hardware problem. Hopefully someone can provide us with some good guidance!! I might contact Sony as well.

Touch screen of my laptop not working?
Some say set t to sleep, it has always been set to sleep in "when I close my lid" .. As I said it had been working perfectly fine, I shut it down at night and start the computer in the morning and it works normal, but this just happened last night, I shut down the computer and now in the morning when I started it I touched the screen to move open browser and nothing happened.
Touch screen not working on HP Touchsmart tm2?
I have an hp touchsmart tm2-2150 us and recently the touch screen has stopped working, for both the pen and my finger. I did not change any settings to my knowledge, and the computer is about 3 months old. Something that could possibly be related: Windows continually gives me an alert that says a usb device is not recognized. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

ACER Aspire R7 touchscreen not working! Help?
I just bought the acer Aspire R7 with a convertible touchscreen. Literally just like an hour ago just before Best Buy was closing. I went through the initial set up but my touchscreen does not work. Does not recognize any finger movement at all. Touchpad works fine and everything else is in working order. I cant imagine you would have to turn the touchscreen on... Any ideas? Already called acer support (beyond useless) and if all else fails I'll take it back to Best Buy tomorrow...
