Lcd Tv Or Led Tv Which Is Best

Led or lcd tv witch is best?

A lot of people want to know the difference between Plasma, LCD and LED-LCD HDTV’s as well as which one is better than the other. The bottom line is that LED-LCD televisions are the newest technology and are superior to Plasmas and LCD’s in virtually every way. Yes, they are slightly more expansive, but they are worth it if you can afford it. Below is a chart where I scored all three of these technologies with 3-points for best performing and 1-point for lease performing. The total scores speak for themselves.

I think LED is definately the way to go, if you have the money.

What is best, LCD TV or LED TV?

LED is a form of LCD. "Standard" LCDs use fluorescent light sources as the lights, whereas LED LCDs use LED light sources as the lights.

LEDs are popular for a few reasons. One they can improve the image in some aspects, especially the blacks. LED blacks tend to look better than fluorescent LCD blacks, at least on some larger sized screens. Additionally, LEDs are much lighter, so the overall weight of the TV is lighter. Finally, LEDs draw less power, so LED LCDs on the whole will draw less power.

Screen Size does matter. The smaller the set, the less likely you are to notice advantages of LED. Under 40", there will likely not be a huge difference at all really. In the 40" - 50" range there might some difference, depending on your own individual visual sensitivities. Its when you break 50" that the LED advantages should be more noticeable.

Also, not all brands are made equal. So some brands do a better job with their LED sets than others. A Sony fluorescent LCD for example could beat an LG LED (if its one of the basic LED models from LG). So even in larger sizes, LED isn't automatically the right choice.

In the end, make sure you use your eyes, and not just theoretical specs from the Internet. Even if the reviews on the Internet say otherwise, if you see a TV that looks really good to you, and can be had at a good price, then go for it. As long as the complaints against the TV aren't about reliability, then other people's opinions about how your eyes are going to respond to that TV need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Which one is more harmful for the eyes: LCD, LED or CRT TV?

Images in the electronic devices like computer are created from thousands of tiny dots. Unlike the high contrast of printed matter, there is no distinct image in those electronic devices for your eye to actually focus on. Your eyes strain to focus and refocus to keep the images sharp. The presence of glare and reflections on the screen from the lighting can make viewing difficult. Different distances and angles also result in aggravating the issue. The constant readjustments of your eyes to accommodate all these factors cause you to open your eyes wider. This can lead to your eyes getting dry.Blinking is an essential component to keeping our eyes healthy. When looking at a screen you blink two-third times less than usual. Less of blinking strains and dries your eyes.Ideally, the screen should be at eye level or the top of the screen should be at 17 degrees above the eye level. Laptops disturb the eye level. This naturally forces you to stare at the screen and blink lesser number of times, causing eye strain and headache.Staring at the computer screen or television for prolonged periods can stress the eye muscles to a great extent and trigger twitching.Old tube-style monitor (called a cathode ray tube or CRT) screens can cause a noticeable ‘flicker’ of images and strain the eye. They can emit a small amount of X-ray radiation which is widely considered not harmful.Newer display technologies are liquid crystal display (LCD), plasma display, and OLED. To produce a visible image, most LCDs are illuminated from the front or back of the display panel. Older LCDs have CCFL backlit monitor. The newer LED backlit monitors use pulse width modulation (PWM) to alter their brightness. Most of the computer monitors, mobile phones, tablets and television screens have them. PWM can cause distracting visual effects. And according to a research [1], prolonged and continuous exposure to short-wave, high-energy visible light in violet/blue end of the visible light spectrum of LED lights can cause irreparable damage to the retina of the eye.

Whats better? Plasma TV, LCD TV, or LED TV?

LED & LCD TVs in Cold Garage?

The old CRT tube televisions could explode if they were cold and you suddenly turned them on.

But LCD panels are not vacuum tubes. Neither are LED's. And the panels are thick plastic (Unlike a plasma screen which is glass) so there should be no problem with one in a cold garage suddenly being turned on.

What are the differences between a Smart TV, LCD TV and an LED TV?

if they were all the same exact model here would be the differences.

LCD: came out first, was introduced in computer monitors, is cheaper to manufacture so prices will be cheaper

LED: is the successor to LCD, costs more, gives better black levels, better picture, and is usually thinner, and uses slightly less power.

Smart TV: adds a fancy menu to make things easier for you, which in my opinion just confuses most people with so many icons on the screen, a smart tv doesnt do anything different than a regular tv except that the menus are more tailored to people who want to use their tv as a multimedia monitor, such as web browsing, internet apps, dlna, hooking up your wireless devices and then streaming files over such as pics/movies/music.

Internet connectable: basically the same as smart tvs just with out the fancy menus. they can still do most things that a smart tv can.

In order of price and quality: LCD, LED, Internet connectable, Smart TV.

if you are the type that likes to constantly hook up his laptop to his tv then you might want to look into a smart tv, as it will save you time, but i would probably advise waiting till they are faster and cheaper, if you dont care too much for hooking up or doing internet stuff and just want to do tv/movies/gaming then go with an LED or if you dont care what the popular trendy thing to do is, get yourself a plasma, it will give you the best picture quality and wont break your bank.
