Legally Do My Parents Have To Tell Me Why Im In A Wheelchair

My grandmother is in a wheelchair due to a broken hip. My Aunt moved in to care for her as she is not able to stand on her own. My Aunt works around 35 hrs a week and leaves her alone during that time. Is this acceptable?

If she requires assistance to deal with her personal needs then no, it not acceptable. If you live in the USA, Medicare will provide nursing care for certain periods of time if she is deemed qualified. Someone should be looking in on her periodically to make sure she can take care of her personal needs. Even if she is otherwise mobile and able to get around she still needs help with personal hygiene etc.Is the home equipped for a wheelchair bound person? Can she get to the toilet? Without assistance? Does she have a Bidet toilet seat for hygiene? What about food? Can she reach what she needs for the day? These are all things one has to consider when leaving someone who has an injures as severe as a broken hip. It’s also not good to remain in the chair for long periods. Is she able to get out and lay down for rest? You say she can’t stand on her own but can she briefly move from the chair to another more comfortable location like an easy chair or couch? There are services like meals on wheels that can help relieve some of the burden but leaving her alone all day without having a backup system to look after her at least part of that time is not good. But this is all predicated on the fact that she is unable to care for herself 24/7.Some people manage quite well by themselves. As long as they have a method of mobility they can do the necessary things for themselves and only need help with caring for other things like cleaning, laundry and household needs. So in that case a simple wellness call on the phone several times a day is sufficient. They should have someone they can call if something occurs where they need help that can’t wait. Someone who lives nearby like a neighbor. Not all situations are the same. There are many variables that need consideration not the least of which is your Grandmothers wishes. If she is capable and wants things this way then it’s her call. Just have a backup plan including wellness calls.

Can I legally kick my 14 year old out?

My son, now 14 is becoming out of control. No, he's not on drugs or anything like that although I fear that's not far behind. I have three kids in all, one is still just a baby (5 years old), and my oldest, now eighteen has been confined to a wheelchair all her life. Rather than be part of the family, my son continually picks on my youngest and bullies him, all but refuses to help with my daughter, barely gets by in school, and is just unbearable. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm sorry I had children.
Anyway...I want him out. I know that, legally I can't just throw him out on the street, but I have a wife and two other children to think about. What can I do?

Increasingly, I have had to use wheelchair assistance from airlines/airports. Is it standard to tip such helpers? Or appropriate in rare instances (e.g., distance)? How much? Advice please. I don't know and don't want to insult anyone by asking.

If you need a wheelchair to get around a large airport, you should inform the airline at the time of making your reservation. Normally in such circumstances major airlines will take you from check-in at the airport where you begin your trip to the public area of the airport where you arrive. Airlines will have policies for disabled passengers. If you are an older traveler or one who is not able to traverse a large international terminal on foot, there are often electric people-moving vehicles for the elderly, parents with toddlers or other with mobility challenges. In most airports such services are free and in certain countries, the U.S., Europe and Canada, they must meet certain standards as mandated by law.In certain 3rd world destination such services may be roughly parallel to what a porter would offer a family arriving with many suitcases, and there may be certain cases where a tip might be appropriate. However, if you are travelling with an airline that offers business class and frequent flyer points, they almost always have wheelchair service for disabled passengers at every major point they serve.

Should someone with cancer or in a wheelchair have custody of children?

It depends on the circumstances. If the person is a biological or adoptive parent, they will not lose custody simply because they have cancer or are in a wheelchair. As far as being in a wheelchair, that really isn’t dispositive for custody. The question is whether they will be able to care for the child. Many people in wheelchairs are quite independent and quite capable of caring for a child. If the person has cancer and is seeking to adopt or foster a child, that will certainly be an issue. Especially if the cancer is likely to kill the person in the near future and/or disable them for a substantial period of time. Some forms of cancer are not particularly debilitating. Others are. If the person is in a wheelchair and seeking to adopt or foster a child, again, the issue will depend on what level of care that person is able to give. Agencies consider health and ability to provide care as part of the process. If you are asking about two parents who are trying to work out custody of their children, the question will be what is best for the child or children. The court would look at who is best able to care for the children, based on all circumstances. So, again, what kind of cancer? How independent is the person? There are entirely too many questions for me to answer yes or no.

Should the parents of a paralyzed young adult masturbate their child?

I have some friends who have a 20 year old child who is confined to a wheel chair. Their child is not totally paralyzed but cannot control their arms and other body parts very well. Their child has made comments that they get horny just like us but cannot take care of it their self. Their child has to be fed, bathed, and cared for 24 hours a day. Should the parents masturbate their child to give their child some relief and enjoyment?

Anything Goes- Does the old lady in wheelchair have any lines?
