What are the liberal and conservative views on affirmative action and the economy?
Liberals, more rightly called Leftists, believe that socialism is an economic theory (it’s not, it’s a political theory), and that you can bring peace and prosperity to all by robbing everybody else, and killing anybody who objects. They believe that charity means stealing money from other people at gunpoint, so you can give it to others in exchange for political power and votes. They also believe that the proper way to achieve a more free, race and color blind society is to eliminate the fundamental freedom of association and organize everyone and everything by race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex, handicap, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Basically, Leftists hate liberty, sanity, and everything that made America great.Conservatives believe that America was great when Americans were free to live their lives without overwhelming government interference. They believe that the free market economy has created more wealth and lifted more people out of poverty than any other idea in human history. They believe that communism destroys everything it touches, and that socialism is communism wearing a smiley face mask. They believe that charity means giving freely of your own time and wealth, to recipients of your choice. They also believe that the Leftists are deliberately trying to destroy America by constantly attacking the very ideas of freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility. They believe that affirmative action is fundamentally inconsistent with the Constitution, and is an abominable infringement of the basic human rights of free association and religious liberty. They believe that if you want to stop discrimination by race, then the government should stop enforcing discrimination by race. They believe that if people are given objects or status by government fiat, they will not value these things or positions. They believe that if unqualified people are hired or promoted in the name of the great god “Diversity”, then the relatively rare qualified minority will not be recognized because of the flood of incapable diversity hires. Conservatives believe that “Diversity” is a code word for “shut and die already, white, Christian, cis-male scum!” These beliefs have been proven to be correct on numerous occasions since 1965. As a racial minority, how do you view affirmative action?
As an American of Assyrian Iraqi descent, I don’t fit the criteria of a beneficiary of affirmative action. However, as a minority in the United States, I do have to say that I find it utterly offensive that white elites think that minorities are incapable of helping themselves get out of poverty, and so they need to step in, help and guide us.Nothing is more racist than the Democrats’ ‘benign racism’. The term ‘benign’ used by critics is actually a euphemism, because I believe the Democrats are truly the racist ones, and they care about minorities even less than Republicans do. To them, minorities are pawns in a game: if we behave well, we get ‘benefits’; if we defect and disobey, then we get excluded and branded all kinds of names through their ‘benign racism’.Let’s not forget that it was the Democrats who wanted to keep slavery, keep minorities ‘in their places’, created Jim Crow laws, the KKK and most other white supremacist groups. Democrats only today claim to be for minorities, but really they’re not, and affirmative action is clear evidence of their racism and bigotry towards people of color/non-white people. I do think that Republicans can be quite racist, but I feel it’s not in the same degree as Democrats are. It’s just dismissed as ‘having good intentions’.I have met many more conservatives who are tolerant of other races than I have liberals just in general. If you act ‘uppity’, liberals will ‘remind you of your place’. This, to me, is the epitome of racism, no matter how ‘benign’ it may seem. So what do I, as a minority, think about affirmative action? To put it bluntly, it is a racist institution that wants to enslave minorities and keep them victimized their whole lives more than help them with the little crumbs that Democrats give them.
Affirmative action Yay or Nay?
Affirmitive action was necessary when it was enacted. It has long since outlived it's usefullness and is actually now hurting minorities. The assumed incompentence creates a glass ceiling and while affirmitive action exists it will be in everybodies mind that the only reason so and so is there is because of affirmitive action and not because of ability. What self respecting human would want to live under a shadow like that? The facts are in today's market you either hire the best or you sink. Discrimanatory practices will make a company uncompetitive. So affirmitive action only costs taxpayers and companies but provides no benifits. Affirmitive action is an act of racism by deffinition. It was a crutch for a society learning how to heal devides. Just as a patient who stays on crutchs too long loses the ability to walk so too does affirmitive actual cause racism. It widens racial divides and provides ready fodder for White supremists. I can think of no positive result of Affirmitive action in the last 10 years. There are plenty of reasons to elimanate it. So my question is why does it still exist?

The logic of this program has ALWAYS mystified me. How do you correct discrimination by discriminating? Affirmative Action hurts everybody..... obviously it hurts those not getting the direct benefit of the lowered standards....but it also hurts the people it is supposed to help..... it not only denigrates their hard work but it calls unfairly into question their quality...... A minority may be the BEST....highly qualified and capable....but Affirmative Action makes many people think they are LESS capable even with degrees and resumes.... Affirmative Action is RACIST....it presumes that minorities can NOT achieve without a lowering of standards...... it discriminates against high achievers.....and lowers the quality of graduates and employees I taught at two universities....students will rise to your.....YOUR expectations.....you "expect" low performance they will seldom disappoint you...... history proves people will achieve more than even they think is possible if you demand excellence
What are your thoughts on Affirmative action?
It is legalized and indefinite racial discrimination against whites, particularly males, and it is wrong. Recent studies have shown that indeed, since the implementation of affirmative action, the average IQ score of professionals such as doctors, attorneys, various scientists and engineers, and such, have been declining because more qualified people are denied positions in favor of less qualified, but "more diverse" candidates. There are ways to combat racial discrimination, I just don't believe discriminating against one race in favor of another is an effective way.
