Life Proof Case Iphone 5 Headphone Adapter

Lifeproof headphone adapter alternative?

I have an iPhone 5s with a Lifeproof Nuud case and the headphone adapter piece always ends up breaking (first the microphone/inline controls go, then the sound). Is there any adapter that is more sturdy and will work much longer than a week or two? If so please let me know!

IPhone 4 lifeproof case help?

It should be pretty easy to unscrew the headphone adapter or the jack screw, unless you screwed it in extremely tight. Try holding the adapter or the jack screw and twisting the case instead of doing it the other way around. If it's tough to get a grip on it, use a pair of pliers to get a good grip on the base of the jack screw or adapter.

IPhone 5 case - LifeProof or Otterbox?

So, I need to buy one of them because I just got my new iphone 5 and will probably drop it 100 times. From what I see, the LifeProof is $79.99, is rubber, thinner than Otterbox and waterproof. Otterbox is hard plastic and $59.99. Not sure I want the extra bulk of Otterbox instead of thinner LifeProof. Anyone use either of these? Are there any more pros or cons to each? I read for LifeProof it can be difficult to use the touchscreen, is that true? Also, I bought one of the privacy screens, you know, where its tinted and unless your looking almost straight on you can't see anything on it, well, can I still use that? Also, I'm not worried about dropping the phone in water so do I really need the waterproof? Is it better for rain? Thank you for all help from anyone who has used either or both of these!!

Are the iPhone 7 earphones waterproof?

None of the earpods or airpods made by apple are waterproof but they can resist water from damaging them upto some extent but i would suggest you not dunk any apple product in the water except apple watch since it can withstand water for half an hour. Also, don't dunk iPhone 7 in water too because it can resist only water splashes as it carries IP67 rating only. Your iPhone would be safe in rains or some accidental drops in water but it's better to be safe.

Lifeproof headphone jack.?

My lifeproof case came with a seperate thing that you screw into the case and then plug your headphones into that. Is it nessacery to use it? If I don't use it am I damaging the case? Using default apple headphones. If you need more info let me know. Here's a link to the product-

Google and Apple have removed headphone jacks from their devices, is such a move of any benefit for the consumer?

Major feature changes like this seldom ever have the best, benevolent interest of the customer in mind. Rather, they are ultimately intended to benefit the company over the long haul.Apple and Google are trying to forcibly manipulate long-term consumer behavior and buying trends by revoking a level of previously-available choice customers once had of how to use and customize their products with accessories they may have already bought. These companies want their users to have a proprietary, rather than a versatile, experience. They want the customer to depend only on them for all of their accessory needs, even if it means that you have a high-end pair of headphones you can no longer use on their phones without some additional investment from Apple or Google (for an adapter), or possibly ever again. They are imposing planned obsolescence on accessories you already own by designing their products to suddenly stop supporting them after a certain date, while offering a much higher maintenance set of proprietary accessories as your only choice (while telling you it is for everyone's good). They know you will be buying another set of their wireless headphones from them when the batteries in each earpiece inevitably fail, should you lose one or both earpieces, or should damage occur to one or both. Win-win for Apple and Google, lose-lose for the customer. This is a money-grab for both companies under the guise of trendsetting and telling the customer "what people will want" and "how everyone will use" their phones. "Nobody will plug headphones into jacks in the future" and "wires are ugly" are just two stupid market-manipulation catch-phrases Apple is currently using to garner customer adoption of their AirPods and jackless iPhones. AirPods could just as easily work whether or not the jack is present on an iPhone (let the buyer decide), and it's baloney that waterproofing is improved (my S7 is waterproof to 3m with a jack present). So, no - the move away from the 1/8in headphone jack has no useful benefit to the customer in and of itself. It is just another lost choice taken away from customers without their input, so is in fact a detriment where the disadvantages outweigh any real benefit.
