Lifetime/hallmark Halloween

Would you consider made-for-TV movies like Lifetime and Hallmark as a good stepping stone for actors towards major franchises?

Not Hallmark movies because they rarely offer the actors an opportunity to show what they can really do; they are basically romantic fluff. Often a movie will star attractive actors whom I have never heard of. Most of the actresses who are their big names (Catherine Bell, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure, etc.) were stars of series years ago. And the demographics of Hallmark movie lovers are not the ones advertisers are looking for.

Would you allow your wife/girlfriend to go clubbing with you with a crop top showing her tummy and a low-rise 9-inch denim skirt without underwear?

Everything was fine until you said no underwear. If she is deciding to wear a mini skirt, every time she sits, her vachina will be exposed to the seat. Idk about you, but I don't want particles entering my body via a very sensitive part of my body. You don't know what happens in those chairs, benches, bar stools. People stand on them, people talk, may spill drinks, etc and who knows how often they are cleaned. I do not want to risk any sort of infection, cut or abrasion.Make sure she is aware of that. Now, if she still wants to wear no underwear provided that information, then I would like to ask a few questions:Will you also be going with her to the club?I ask this because I used to work with a guy that recently got married to a girl that would constantly cheat on him. I'm not saying this is your case, but she would always wear skimpy clothes and no underwear to attract guys and take them home at the end of the night. I remember him saying that he came back from work and she was going to a Halloween party and dressed like a sexy French maid and had no undies on. She had not invited him and left him at home. He had to work that night and he used to work the night shift. I came in the morning to relieve him and he said that before he came in, somehow he knew where the guy lived (small town) and her car was parked in front of his car. He confronted and she said they were just “talking.”He still married the girl despite continued cheating. She even slept with his best friend and he was still even made Best Man at their wedding.Anyways, next question. Is this something new, or does she regularly freeball? If this is something new, why does she want to do this now? Say you are joining her, is she looking for ways to spice up the relationship? If so, go with the flow and enjoy the moment ;)Just make sure you clean her seat before she sits.

Is Red Riding Hood actually scary?

I thought about seeing the Red Riding Hood movie this weekend(mostly cuz Gary Oldman is in it), but I'm afraid it will be ANOTHER twilight chick-flick. It sounds like it.
When will hollywood get off the twilight money train? Same crap, different actors.
Boring maiden finds forbidden love/lust in the "bad-boy" outcast anti-hero character.... blah, blah, blah... scandalous love triangles, the usual hallmark/lifetime channel crap.

It says the movie is a horror movie, but it doesn't look like one.
Has anyone seen it?

PS: Has anyone seen Sucker Punch?
I know it's made by the creator of Sin City, so i thought it'd be worth a look.

Do movie actors get paid each time their movie is played on TV?

Those are called residuals. From the Screen Actors Guild website: http://www.sag.org/content/resid...Residuals are compensation paid to performers for use of a motion picture or television program after its initial use. For TV work, residuals begin once a show starts re-airing or is released to video/DVD, pay television, broadcast TV or basic cable. For film work, residuals begin once the movie appears on video/DVD, basic cable and free or pay television. All performers hired under or upgraded to a principal performer agreement whose performance remains in the final product qualify. This includes performers, professional singers, stunt performers, stunt coordinators, pilots, dancers employed under Schedule J and puppeteers.Payment depends on license agreements, the project’s commercial viability and when and how often the product airs. However, as long as the product is generating revenue for the producer, the performer is entitled to residuals (based on contract year and under which type the project was produced).Between 1.5 million and 1.6 million paper checks are processed each year by the Guild’s Residuals Department. After a performer dies all residuals will continue to flow to designated heirs as long as the TV or movie product continues to generate revenue for the producer.

What are American customs that seem weird to foreigners?

I moved from Europe to the US when I was in my mid twenties and while I had already traveled in the US, it took me a while to get used to the following:-ice in drinks. Too much ice. It gave me stomachaches at the beginning.-eating out: people eat out a lot in the US, even when they cannot afford it. And then they get used to larger portions, salty foods, unhealthy ingredients,… thus the obesity epidemic-overweight issues: no kidding. America is on a death spiral and things are not getting better. I have never seen so many overweight people in any place I have ever been.-youth obesity: this is far more concerning to me and I still cannot accept how this society is doing so little to help youth get out of obesity.-dress code: I have seen people in pajamas grocery shopping, I have seen VP wearing sandals over white socks, but that’s not what I’m talking about. Just the average way an american dresses is extremely casual to an European. If someone showed up at a baptism in flip flops I would consider it rude (happen to me, twice).-obsession with trucks: you work as a software developer, drive 5 miles to work, and have no “heavy duty” hobbies, yet you buy a truck? really?-private space: nowhere in the world I have seen people needing so much private space around them.-pets: I have a personal bias here because I cannot relate to this at all (personal taste), but I cannot understand how an entire society treats animals like humans.-work/success addiction: I’m still on the fence about how healthy of a thing this is, but more people should relax a little bit more and take their jobs less seriously.-political correctness: tell me what you think or don’t bother talking to me. American cannot have a real conversation with a stranger.-politics: it’s far more entertaining than in Europe. It’s like the WWE of world politics. USA, USA! Love it!-guns: sorry, I do not understand that.-personal finances: how in the world do people (especially middle class) get to have so much debt? You earn 100, you should put aside as much as possible (aka 70 or more) and you live within what you can afford. Don’t buy a truck or a house or a boat or a horse or a motor home or a pet or a vacation home if you cannot afford to send your kids to college and save for retirement first. That’s what comes to mind. All of that being said, I love this country and all of you folks!

Who is the most versatile actor/actress in Hollywood?

My vote is for Gary Oldman. His range is astonishing.9  times out of 10, I don't even realize that it's him acting the role  until I watch the credits. He has a scary knack for immersing himself  into roles to the point where it's difficult to separate the actor and  the character. I'd venture to say that this plays against his fame  because Gary Oldman the actor isn't as memorable as say, Brad Pitt or  George Clooney in their roles.Anyway, here's a small sample of various roles:Commissioner GordonThe Nolan Batman Franchise- A serious support role in a stellar superhero franchise.George SmileyTinker-Tailor-Soldier-Spy- Lead character in a recently-released spy thriller. Drexl SpiveyTrue Romance-  Hard to describe if you haven't seen True Romance (and if you haven't,  you should!). A drug dealer and pimp from I think Caribbean origins.  Highly original.Norman StansfieldLéon - The Professional- The primary antagonist to Jean Reno as hitman. Explosive, violent, cruel.Ivan KorshunovAir Force One- Russian bad guy.Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel ZorgThe Fifth Element- As original as it gets (credit to Luc Besson). Industrialist and weapons manufacturer bent on destroying sacred stones.Sirius BlackThe Harry Potter Series- A dramatic and noble role in a big franchise.Rosencrantz (my personal favorite!)Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead-  One of the title characters in the film version of a famous absurdist  play. A not-so-simple simpleton who ends up often accidentally  philosophical.
