Lily And James Type Movie

A movie about Lily Potter?

When I was younger, I was at my aunts house and we were watching a movie that I am pretty sure was about or based off of Lily Evan's life before (Possibly a little bit during) her life at Hogwarts.
It had that and there may have been an award show or something either a part of the movie, or it was going on when I was watching it during the movie. I remember J.K. Getting out of a car by a red carpet. And I'm pretty sure the people that played the adult Potters were there too.
I know it had the scene where Lily made the lily bloom, and Petunia freak out. or a tree branch dropped near/on Petunia or something like that
If you could tell me the name of the movie that would be amazing.

I thought she was great. Although I wouldn't say she is picture-perfect beautiful, she is very close, and has an on-screen magnetism that is quite endearing. And the theme of this Cinderella -- that the key to life is to be courageous and kind -- really plays to her strengths.I've almost wondered if Branagh spoke to the director of Downton Abbey: "Hey, I'm going to be using Lily James in an upcoming remake of Cinderella. Would it be possible for you to change her character from being a spoiled brat to a charming and loving young woman? That would really help my audience to have the proper expectations when they see her in my movie."

MOVIES LIKE JAMES BOND?

The Matt Helm movies with Dean Martin (The Silencers, Murderer's Row, The Ambushers, The Wrecking Crew) are an American version of James Bond, but with more comedy.

Attack of the Robots and License to Kill, two 1960's Eurospy movies starring Eddie Constantine.

There were several movies compiled from two-part Man From U.N.C.L.E. TV episodes: To Trap a Spy, The Karate Killers, One Spy Too Many, How to Steal the World, One of Our Spies is Missing.

Koroshi, starring Patrick McGoohan, which was compiled from the last two episodes of the TV series Danger Man (aka Secret agent).

Movies which come close to James Bond movies?

I have recently watched some James Bond movies and liked those. Do you people like such movies? I specially liked to see how such an innocent looking man can tackle the most difficult situations. He remains so calm even when he is in great danger and makes his way out. Can you tell me if there are other movies which are of same nature? I do not like movies with lots of violence for the sake of it. The James Bond movies show triumph of intelligence and that is what I enjoy. Please share with me names of any other such movie if you know.

OKAY HOW DID JAMES AND LILY END UP TOGETHER?

It says somewhere (can't remember where) that Lupin tells Harry that they started going out in their seventh year when "James's head deflated a bit" so basically when James got older and more mature. It also has something to do that Severus called Lily a mudblood, she realized that he really hated muggle-borns and was different then what she thought. That was in their fifth year and she stopped loving Snape then, although they were growing farther apart before that. Then over ther sixth year she started falling for James as he realized that his efforts to impress her were failing and stopped trying to impress her. Then in the seventh book they started going out.

Those peices of plot are strung together...as someone said they weren't. Also JK left a little room for imagination...you had to read in between the lines a little bit, it wasn't all spelled out in black and white.

Did James and Lily Potter and Harry and Ginny Potter really look identical or is it something created by fanfics and fanarts?Lily is described as having dark red hair and green eyes, while Ginny has a fiery shade of red and brown eyes. The likelihood of two different redheads looking identical is as likely as two random black-haired people looking identical.Ginny is athletic, having a physique fit for a Chaser. Both women are pretty, but I’ve always imagined Lily’s beauty to be more feminine and lovely, while Ginny has - as Harry describes - a “blazing look.”Was Ginny to Harry what Lily was to James?Since they are different people who fell in love at different times and for different reasons, no.Lily and James were not prepared to get together until the latter has outgrown his adolescent immaturity. Once he’s done so, he’s dropped his bravado and begins to build a genuine bond with her. This would be after her fallout with Snape, so I imagined they’ve gotten closer with James providing comfort to her loneliness. Moreover, they are similar and compatible people. They’re both brave, self-sacrificial if need be, deeply loyal, a stickler for their ideals, vivacious. The kind of people who inspire love and friendship. With Harry and Ginny, the latter is a source of laughter and light for the former. At the basic level, they are similar in that they’re both drawn to the spotlight, love Quidditch, have the same sense of humor, and have survived personal encounters with Voldemort. But more than that, they complete each other. Once she’s grown past thinking of him as the Boy Who Lived, she is his equal and can delight in getting to know the boy beneath the name. She is his last dying thought in DH, as it is her who reminds him that he’s alive. She’s “his best source of comfort,” his escape from the perils and danger of his life as the prophesied hero. This is the key difference: Lily and James went headfirst into the war together, joining the Order and building a life in the middle of wreckage. Harry has to leave Ginny when he goes on his quest, because to him, she isn’t a soldier he can sacrifice if need be. She is more than that.

Lily and James Potter are symbolic and metaphoric individually and as a couple in the Harry Potter series. Together, they symbolize Harry's greatest desire and his greatest loss. When Harry finds the Mirror of Erised, he sees his family."A woman standing right behind his reflection was smiling at him and waving...Her eyes are just like mine, Harry thought...The tall, thin, black-haired man...wore glasses, and his hair was untidy. It stuck up in the back, just as Harry's did."Harry Potter & the Philosopher's StoneBut Lily and James also have separate metaphoric purpose.James represents the dichotomy of man. The elder Potter could show great humanity, even in his youth."Sometimes you remind me a lot of James. He called it my 'furry little problem'  in company. Many people were under the impression that I had a badly behaved rabbit." (Remus Lupin describing James friendship with Lupin, despite Remus' were-wolf condition)Harry Potter & the Half-Blood PrinceAnd yet, James was also capable of great cruelty."Wash out your mouth," said James coldy. "Scourgify!"Pink soap bubbles streamed from Snape's mouth at once; the froth was covering his lips, making him gag, choking him -Harry Potter & the Order of the PhoenixJames Potter was also the epitome of an arch nemesis, being the reflection to Severus Snape of everything Snape was not. "...James Potter fancies you!...And he's not...everyone thinks...big Quidditch hero..." Snapes bitterness and dislike were rendering him incoherent...Harry Potter & the Deathly HallowsIt would be easy to say that Lily represented love, and that would be true, but also simplistic. Lily represented the best of humanity, being the person everyone's actions revolved around, from the obvious decisions of James, Snape and Harry, to that of her professors, Dumbledore and Slughorn. After all, without Lily's sacrifice, Voldemort kills Harry and Dumbledore, perhaps, goes into hiding."But the girl (Lily) had let go of the swing at the very height of its arc and flown into the air, quite literally flown, launched herself skyward with a great shout of laughter..."Harry Potter & the Deathly HallowsLily's significance is her sacrifice for Harry, which protected him for 16 years. Her act was the definition of love.View more of Peter's essays, reviews and conjecture on his blog at Collective Observation.

They were both dead at the age of 21; from all accounts, they married once out of Hogwarts, joined the Order, and died. There are fan stories where James becomes an Auror trainee, but nothing I saw in canon to indicate exactly what either one did.  Speculative timeline: James and Lily leave Hogwarts, possibly to marry soon after (summer of 1978). Backdating from Harry being born at the end of July in 1980, one presumes they married in 1979 sometime, though I'm not sure exactly when. For part of 1981, they were in hiding, though, so were not active in any profession.  Lily was probably not active much in the Order during some of 1979, most of 1980, and probably most of 1981; Molly spent most of the First War having children, and doesn't seem to have been active in the Order, either. One suspects that pregnant women do not engage in magical combat, plus taking care of an infant/toddler is generally a full-time job, and there is nothing to show that the Potters had a house elf.  Plus, it was considered quite unusual for Tonks in 1998 to show up at the Battle for Hogwarts, so one can easily imagine that it simply Wasn't Done back in the early 1980's. Lily, having grown up in the Muggle world, might well have different expectations, but once married into a pureblood family, might discover that she had to make adjustments.  One speculates that James and his friends were quite active, though given the snippet offered by Rowling one also suspects they found time in their busy schedule for a great deal of fun. Since James didn't have any financial needs that we know of, he and his friends would have been able to act for the Order full time.  One also suspects that he did not take to being in hiding terribly well, and there may have been the occasional trip to the pub to ease the monotony.  Professions? Not per se. Activities outside the home, more likely for James rather than for Lily (unless she bolted out every once in a while due to extreme cabin fever).
