HOW TO FIND "CURVE" ON PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10?

Elements doesn't have the Photoshop Curves Adjustment Layer. It has "Color Curves" in Enhance>Adjust Color.

But (there's always a "but") Photoshop's Curves AL is part of the package of actions in Elements Plus Demo Version. The demo version is free, not time limited and fully functional. I've used it with Elements 4, 6, 8 and now 9. It installs with a click to Photo Effects in the Effects Panel.

Click on the "demo version" link in the 4th paragraph, then, on the new page that opens, just find Elements 10 and the appropriate operating system.

NOTE: After you install it and then open Elements, a little box, "Rebuilding Effects and Content" will appear. It will take a few minutes for Elements to fully open and be useable because after you install actions, the entire mediadatabase.db3 folder has to be rebuilt so the new actions will show up in the Effects menu. This is a lot easier than it was in previous versions of Elements when we had use Windows Explorer to burrow into Adobe's program files and rename or delete the mediadatabase.db3 folder by hand so it would be rebuilt when we launched Elements. Even software has "olden days" stories now:-)

I circled "Preset" in the last one just to remind you that there are presets:-)

There's also a more complicated Curves plugin for Elements, Smart Curves.

This is a plugin and appears at the bottom of the Filters menu in Easy Filter.

Does adobe photoshop elements 8.0 have the liquify tool?

I am taking digital image editing at school (basically learning how to use photoshop CS4) and my instructor recently went over the liquify tool, the tool that lets you stretch or shrink an image to make someone look fatter or skinnier. I purchased a pen tablet like six months ago that came with elements 8.0 and I was trying to find the liquify tool., but it's not in the same place. If it has that tool and someone knows how to get to it please let me know.. thank you so much in advance..

Photoshop: how to create glowing line?

in this case, it's not exactly an outline. it's something like the wrinkles on face. so when i use the pen tool to draw, the lines which supposed to be on their own are connected when it's selected.

so i try using brush but of not avail as well. i cant make smooth curve with it, cant select it so that it's isolated from the background and therefore the settings (in order to get glowing wrinkles) is applied to the whole picture.

so what should i do. in order to get smooth glowing curves ? which tool allow me to actually select out the ' wrinkles' (which obviously not an outline) to work on it ?

thanks.

What does rasterizing a layer do in Photoshop?

Rasterizing a layer is a very useful and essential feature which Adobe Photoshop provides. In order to understand what rasterizing a layer do in Photoshop you must know what is a smart object. Smart Objects are layers that contain image data from raster or vector images, it is an embedded file which preserve an image's source content with all its original characteristics, enabling you to perform nondestructive (allows only few editings that do not affect the originality of the image) editing to the layer. When any image is imported in Photoshop, the layer of that image in layer panel comes with a small thumbnail on it, something like this:which signifies that it is a smart object which do not allows most of the editings except few as it is an embedded file and links with image's source content. By Rasterizing this layer you break the link between the image's source content and the image itself, making it a raster image which allows all types of editing. Make sure the thumbnail is now vanished. Now you are ready to go, create what your creative mind can think of.

Instagram / Pixlr Effects in Photoshop?

I see many photoshopped images with retouched stylized color edits. Basically, like the filter effects in Instagram and similar mobile apps. In those apps, it's so easy to click a filter and completely and easily stylize a picture. However, I prefer using Photoshop for my pictures, because I like to use my PC to edit, and I fix and adjust the regular elements of my photos in Photoshop, like the contrast, levels, and curves. I'm not bad with that. But, I would also to make some of my photos look more stylized and interesting, without importing them to a silly mobile app. I'm not sure what to search for on Google though, because searching for color tutorials is not yielding the type of results I'm looking for. Does anyone know what type of editing this is called, or what to search for to find these filter-like effect tutorials? Any tips? Or recommendations of websites to visit to find this type of stuff?
