List Of Stores That Have Emergency Exit Delays And How Long Is The Delays

Are all Walmart’s emergency exits open 24 hours?

Yes, every emergency exit is unlocked 24/7. The reason behind it is that it’s a requirement for OSHA. There is a list of requirements when it comes to emergency exits and are checked once a month to verify that they’re in working order. Here’s a link to see everything that’s covered under OSHA when it comes to emergency exits https://www.osha.gov/OshDoc/data....

I missed my flight 'Indigo' (domestic) from Bangalore to Delhi as my train got delayed and I reported at the Indigo counter just 26 minutes before the departure of my flight. I was not allowed to check in and also was denied to get a refund of my missed flight booking. What should I do to get a refund?

So u had missed your flight, i am really sorry for that, i don’t know much about refund policy but i can give you an alternate assurance from future point of reference.Instead of asking for refund you should have gone to the rebooking counter, showed to them your e-ticket and asked for booking a next flight, if seats are vacant than they will put you onboard with charging only 1000 rs , but only thing is that you can not book before 1 hour prior to the departure of the next flight.Same case happened to me recently , I missed my Indigo delhi to mumbai 7:30 a.m flight , I reached check in counter 40 minutes before departure. So they didn't allow me, so I went straight to the rebooking counter and asked her to rebook for the next upcoming flight of same destination,Then the lady asked me to pay 8000 rs for the 9:30 flight which I didn't buy, like on I rejected 10:30, 11:35 flight offers due to high cost , i waited patiently for my luck as she had already hinted me way back for 1 p.m flight.finally at 12 p.m she checked into the system and said there is a seat available for 1 p.m indigo flight and I can get the seat by paying only 1000 rs which I accepted.

I have just been "delayed" for a firearm purchase. Does this mean I can't go to another gun shop and try the purchase again?

I have just been "delayed" for a firearm purchase. Does this mean I can't go to another gun shop and try the purchase again? There are three possible outcomes to a NICS check:“Proceed” - The buyer has nothing in his record and the sale may be completed.“Denied” - The buyer is a prohibited person and the sale is illegal. (The buyer’s attempt to purchase is illegal as are any false answers he provided on the 4473. The FFL transferring the firearm to the buyer is also illegal.)“Delayed” - Something is preventing the system from giving a proceed, but doesn’t rise to the level of denial, at least at first glance. Some examples are: The buyer has a very common name or has a similar name and close DOB to a prohibited person; the buyer holds a high-level security clearance (I’m not sure why that matters, but it seems to;) the system is not responding, which could be due to the system being overloaded, but, sometimes, is due to a system malfunction.“Delayed” is not “Denied” and, most of the time, the sale is approved. Trying again at another store will just raise a red flag and delay things even more.

What are some reasons why a plane might be delayed?

Most of the time, unless your plane is an early one, it's been delayed at earlier points in the day, and the cumulative effective becomes a big delay.

In other words your flight is at 5pm, but the plane was late leaving Chicago at 8am, actually leaving at 9:30, forcing it to leave Phoenix late at 3pm instead of 12:30pm, causing your 5pm flight to leave at 8pm.

The cause of the original lateness could have been mechanical, but also many times it's a flight attendant arriving late. Another reason could be that someone checked a bag, but then wasn't on the plane on time, and the plane isn't allowed to leave if there's a bag checked that doesn't correspond with a passenger who is on the plane (a security precaution).

Also other airlines having delays can cause your flight to be delayed, as there could be a backup at the runway, so the plane got loaded on time, but then sat on the runway waiting it's turn because some other airline had delays and got the planes all backed up.

What is really happening when they say my plane is delayed for mechanical problems?

Aircraft maintenance is highly regulated and taken very seriously by all involved. Because of this it isn't rushed. Here is what happens during a maintenance delay:A problem is identified by a pilot or line maintenance crew doing a pre or post flight inspection. Or a problem was identified during the flight the aircraft was just flying on.The maintenance procedure manual is referred to for how to fix the problemThe maintenance technician grabs all the tools and equipment needed to fix the problem (these will be listed in the procedure). Lots of special tools, diagnostic equipment, and parts are needed for aircraft maintenance. They are often expensive and sometimes hard to find. The maintenance technician fixes the problemThe technician accounts for all toolsThe maintenance technician then records the procedure he did in the aircraft's maintenance logbookThe technician then locates the quality assurance guy.The quality assurance (QA) guy checks the technician's work. The FAA requires this check and if a mishap occurs and the QA didnt do this correctly, he will be in a lot of trouble. Not to mention have something on his conscience. We aren't done yet: when certain components are replaced, they require checks to be done by the maintenance technician or pilot to ensure the new component is installed and working properly. After these checks are completed and the aircraft is deemed ready, the QA will indicate that in the aircraft logbook.Airliners are very reliable and safe. One of the reasons for that is because the people maintaining them don't worry about doing anything but fixing them correctly. Everybody with a ticket has someplace to be and is in a hurry but it doesn't really matter if the aircraft isn't safe to fly on. Airlines don't like making you late and screwing up their schedule. It's probably more work for them but it's better than a mishap.Parts on an aircraft have to be replaced by a certain date, after a specific amount of flight hours, when they exceed a certain tolerance, or when they are obviously broken. Airlines can plan on the first two items but the last two can occur unpredictably.I am not involved in maintenance with my current position, but back in my Army days I was a maintenance officer and wore the QA hat.Hope that helps!

In case of a delay after boarding, do flights have the right to refuse any passenger from de-planing?

Good question. Technically the airline can deplane any one it deems necessary. If there’s an obtrusive passenger then he or she will be taken off the airplane. Many times airplanes physically leave their gate and cannot return, and are just waiting to takeoff between the gate and the runway, somewhere on the tarmac. In these cases there are rulings which mandate (mostly in the EU) the airline to pay passengers for this (I think over 2 hours they owe their passengers money but am not sure to be honest). You cannot physically request to get off since that’s up to the captain to decide, and most of the times they just won’t bring the airplane back for no reason unless it’s a medical emergency/technical etc.Not the best answer I know, but most of the times you’re just stuck there.Uri
