Should we have a “Bucket List” of things to do before we die and what all needs to be included in the list?
I think everyone should have a “Bucket List” formal, or informal, however I think the items to be included are really a personal decision that’s up to each person. Many people include travel locations on their bucket list. Some include marriage, children and families. Some people have career goals on their bucket lists. Some people have personal dreams or things that scare them, etc.It really depends on each individual’s personality. For example, an introvert likely wouldn’t have “Travel to 50 different countries” on their bucket list. But maybe the introvert is a bibliophile and and item on their bucket list is to read 5,000 books.Maybe the risk taker wants to race a motorcycle.Maybe the stay at home mom wants to become a CEO.Maybe the man afraid of heights wants to go sky diving.Maybe the recovering drug addict wants to open a sober living home to help others.Maybe the teenager wants to own a nursery.A bucket list is personal. It can include major life choices or small personal decisions. No one can tell you what should be on yours but I encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zone and chase after their dreams, realistic or not, scary or safe. You only get one life. Life it to your best ability.

What are on your bucket list of things to do before graduating from the University of Chicago?
When I was an undergraduate senior, I had done pretty much everything I wanted: I'd been to all the local restaurants, saw all the local sights, had been a dedicated Scav hunter for 4 years. But there was still something I'd been wanting to do my entire time there:Catch a squirrel. The plan was simple: I borrowed a friend's crate, got a plastic water bottle to hold it up, got a length of string, and I went to Hutch and bought a can of mixed nuts. Then I went out to the quad, tied the string to the water bottle, propped the crate up on the water bottle, put some nuts under the crate, and waited.Nothing really happened. They seemed to be pretty interested in the entire can of nuts, though, so I switched out the few peanuts I had placed with the whole can.Within 5 minutes, a squirrel ran up to them, and I pulled the string. The trap came down perfectly, and I ran up to the crate and held it down with my foot. The thing was pretty pissed. It kept trying to gnaw out of the thick plastic crate. I let it go, and it ran away. It was worth it.
