List The Companies And Work Places That Are Exempt From The Obamacare In Which Employees

If Obamacare is repealed, will premiums paid by employees on employer provided health insurance be lowered? Prior to Obamacare, I paid $75 per month and I’m currently paying $325 per month.

No they won't. They will likely go higher. The rates have gone up so much because there is no way for us to prevent it. Period. The costs have increased because charges are unregulated. Drug companies can charge as much as they want for medicine. Insurance companies are largely unregulated. the Affordable Care Act Aka Obamacare addressed this to a degree. If the law had been passed as written and all states had expanded medicaid, rates would be lower now. Republicans in congress knew that if we all had access to this lower cost insurance we would like it And want to keep it. Their campaigns are paid for in part by drug companies and insurance companies. Those two agencies are spending huge amounts on republican campaigns to make sure they don't get regulated And so they keep their high dollar charges. So when the ACA looked like it was going to pass, the republicans threw in a monkey wrench they thought would cause the law to fail. That was the stipulation that states could opt out of Medicaid expansion. That was intended to cause the law to fail And was a nod to the donors of republican canidates. If you live in a red state, your costs have gone way up because your state refused billions of dollars in funding to assist you in buying insurance. Citizens of those were told that they are better off refusing the funding and voters believed them. They rewarded their senators who were deliberately making their healthcare more expensive by reelecting them. Today, more and more people are realizing that those with coverage under the law in expansion states are paying less for ACA coverage and are buying their insurance from there. Those in red states aren't because the exchanges there aren't being fully funded. In the mean time, the people selling group plans are making record dollars in spite of losing some customers to ACA which they also sell. If all states expanded and all insurers could sell plans in all states it would be less expensive. Better than that though, if we sold Medicare to younger people who want it we would save huge amounts of money personally and for the government also. It would also insure that Medicare will be there for all of us when we are old and need it.

Why did Congress exempt itself from Obamacare?

Congress is not exempt from ObamaCare. In fact, due to pointless politicking, they have more onerous requirements than other federal government employees. The ACA statutes require all Americans to carry health insurance. Where that health insurance comes from is immaterial. Americans who work for large companies or for state or local governments (including Congress) typically get their health insurance covered as part of their compensation package. During the legislative debates, some Republican senators added language to the bill that disallowed Congress and Congressional staff from receiving the health care plans offered by the federal government to all of its employees. Instead, they are only allowed to purchase plans that are available through exchanges. The federal government still pays a substantial portion of those premiums, though, just as they do to every other federal employee.

Obamacare - religious exemptions?

If a doctor is opposed to abortions, he does not have to learn the procedure. And he should be up-front about his refusal to prescribe contraceptives. Hopefully, women can find a doctor who will provide them with the full gamut of reproductive health care if one doctor in their area won't.

The issue here is that companies that identify as religious--such as Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby--don't think they should be required to cover contraception on their employees' insurance plan. They don't think they should "pay" for contraceptives, since they have a religious objection to them. The thing is, these are not religious organizations but for-profit companies run by religious people. They are SECULAR companies providing SECULAR services. And the companies are not paying for the contraceptives; the insurance provider is.

And what if a company run by Jehovah's Witnesses wanted to deny coverage for blood transfusions? What if a company run by Christian Scientists wanted to deny coverage for all medical procedures against their religion? You see where I'm going with this, right?

I have two solutions to the whole contraceptive conundrum:

1) Companies who "don't want to pay" for contraceptive coverage should advocate for single-payer healthcare, i.e., "Medicare for All". If a company isn't responsible for your insurance coverage, they can't whine about contraceptive coverage. And everyone gets health care regardless of his/her employer.

2) There should be a provision in the health care law that requires insurance plans that cover Viagra and other ED drugs to cover contraceptives. So if you don't want to provide contraceptive coverage for your female employees, fine; but your male employees can't have their ***** pills covered either.

The pros and cons of Obamacare?

My mom is thinking about signing up for Obamacare so she is able to get the medicine she needs cheaper. She is one of the few exempt from it but she might sign up willingly but I am not sure if I trust Obamacare. I dont know enough about it. What are the pros and cons of Obamacare? And for the love of god dont turn this into a political battle I dont care if you are republican or democrat I dont care. Just answer the question please.

How does Obamacare help the middle class?

I understand how Obamacare will help the poorest Americans. It means they will be eligible for medicaid.

How does it help middle class Americans? Insurance rates will go up even more now. Deductibles and co-pays will increase. Some small businesses will stop offering insurance to their employees because it will be cheaper for them to just pay the penalty (tax). Employees who are already covered will have to go out and buy insurance. If you have kids, health insurance can be extremely expensive.

I wonder if some people are under the impression that Obamacare means "free" healthcare?

Do You Know How ObamaCare Will Be Funded?

Can it be funded by cutting waste fraud and abuse in a government program like Medicare/Medicaid?

Did you know that the Government had an initiative for ALL government employees to be rewarded to seek out and identify sources of waste, fraud and abuse as far back as at least the mid 1980's?

Why hasn't the waste and fraud costing our Seniors been cut by now if we all know it's there? Why does Obama want to only eliminate this waste and fraud as part of his political agenda?

Did you know our Seniors have been screaming about the waste and fraud in Medicare/Medicaid for years?

Do you really believe that those of us who already pay for insurance will get a better deal?

I pay insurance through my employer. My employer pays a large portion of my family coverage, which is huge considering I am on a single income with a family of 5, and a home owner with a mortgage.

Obama keeps saying I can keep my current insurance. Sure I can, but my employer won't be paying for part of it anymore if they don't have to. And why would they want to if there is a Government option for anyone without health care? And why would I want to pay full price if there is a Government option?

So, now I'm pigeon-holed into going with Obamacare, and do you think I'm saving money? Heck no. Why? Well, that's easy.

Now my taxes have gone up to cover the 50% of my insurance my employer used to cover, plus I am paying for everyone who didn't have insurance before, and even more for everyone who doesn't even have a job to pay taxes to begin with.

Where will my savings be?

Do you really think that utopia exists just beyond Obamacare?
