Little Things Bring Smiles .4

How much should a wedding ring cost?

That's plenty!

You should only get what you can afford *without* incurring debt.

I got my wife's ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:

http://www.dbof.com/

Or you could check out these other online sources:

www.WhiteFlash.com

www.GoodOldGold.com

www.ExcelDiamonds.com

www.BlueNile.com

Blue Nile's database is good, but they don't provide you with photos or analysis reports (ASET, Isee2, B-scope, etc) of the diamond. I wouldn't go with them for that reason.

Happy hunting.

How do you find what 40% of something is?

i could really do with some help with this question :

a farmer has 60 sheep, one year 40% of them have lambs how many have lambs?

please explain how to work this out 40% :)

What can people start doing now that will help them a lot in about five years?

1. Don't have that extra slice of pizza, you've had enough to eat already - you will regret it.2. You don't need that new TV, and you certainly shouldn't put that on a store payment plan - by the time you've paid it off in 3 years you could have bought another television with the interest you paid out. Besides the TV you have right now is fine.3. Do keep your living expenses low, like a business you want to have good cash flow and low operating costs. Ideally keep your expenses below 40% of income (after tax)4. You don't need that new car - sure the sticker price says $19,997 on the windscreen but by the time the salesperson is done with you, somehow you are now paying $47, 897 @ 5.01 % interest over 8 years. Meanwhile your neighbor is selling a perfectly good 2006 Ford Escape for $3.5k AND it has winter tires on it - you idiot.5. You should do some push ups - like right now, do it......I'll wait....yeah I bet that was hard eh? now keep doing that every day. Mix it up and throw in some sit-ups now and again.6. Live small - you don't need that 5 bedroom house with 3.5 bathrooms and a sunroom. You'll end up working yourself to death to pay for it, spending untold money to heat and cool the multitude of rooms you'll maybe spend 5% of your time in. Seriously when was the last time you just chilled in your front family room for more than 20 minutes.7. Learn a new skill, it could be anything but start now and in 5 years you'll be pretty damned good at it.8. Don't burn bridges, you never know when you'll need to use them to reach safety.SPECIAL BONUS TIME:Seeing how popular this post got, I'll add some more hot tips.9. Invest in a good mattress. You're going to spend close to 1/3 of your life sleeping - doesn't it make sense to get the best possible mattress? Some people will spend 2K on a nice looking bedroom furniture set and then cheap out on the mattress. This is insanity.10. Stop it with the sugar. Seriously. I personally did an experiment were I didn't have any sugar (pop, excess fruits, sugar in coffee etc) for 40 days without changing anything else in my lifestyle. I lost 12 pounds in 40 days from just cutting out sugar.NOTE: Diet pops or artificial sweeteners doesn't count - studies are creeping up that show that your body doesn't know the difference and still gives you insulin spikes.

Am i having a stroke?

Hi, im 16, male, 130lbs, 5ft7in, healthy, moderatly active, do not eat junk food. Ive smoked weed, daily for 8 months. I just smoked a new strain, but i did smoke the same stuff (from same nug) everyday for 4 days this weed. Today i smoked about .4 grams of that, it was powerful before. I was watching tv with my sister about 10 minutes after smoking i felt this aching in my ear, and a little little numbness, is my cheek, now my ear actually kind of hurts. I feel light headed when i walk, no head ache, oh but i am always light headed on weed. What do i do, i preformed the FAST tests, (hold arms out, practice speaking, smile and look for droop), and i have none of the symptoms. Am i just high and paranoid, or am i having a stroke or something like that? thanks

What happens at the Jehovah's Witness memorial service? Will they get mad if I take communion?

They pass around wine and unlevened bread. If you partake the first round you will hear many people start whispering and gasping. There will be a pause at the back of the hall and when they pass the second item they will make a special point to pass it AROUND you.

The Witness that invited you would likely be spoken to after and strongly encouraged to remember to tell you not to touch the precious.

About half the talk is about how you should not take it and why you should not take it. Then they pass it around and nobody takes it. Everyone stars closely at the glasses to see if they are bit lower. Secretly most young Witnesses want to down the wine and each year hope someone defies them and samples it.

If they know you are an opposer, they will likely skip passing to you. In fact they may even confront you at the door and ensure you are not intending to be "disruptive".

You could state "I don't plan on saying anything"

Then they will notice your wording and impress that taking the "emblems" is reserved. Unless you solemnly swear not to touch them, they would likely ask you to leave.

How bad are phenibut withdrawals?

In my experience it is the worst feeling ever. If you had problems in your life anyway, and were using Phenibut to mask them, then they will come back twenty times as bad. Withdrawal strips away any optimistic delusions the Phenibut might have given you, and puts you into a state of intense ‘depressive realism'. You see things seemingly for how they are, and find it physically impossible to believe in potential hope of a miracle happening. You are forced to confront the crushing hopelessness of your situation. Any optimism you remember from your Phenibut days seems like meaningless self-delusion. Regrets and doubts multiply. You start planning for the worst, expecting the worst.Waking up at 3am every morning after ultra-depressing dreams, your energy reserves are depleted. Your range of vision widens so you can see out of the corners of your eyes, like a prey animal. It feels like there are cold, damp, grey clouds above your eyes. Vision becomes blurry and you feel old. Smiling becomes physically impossible and fake. Breathing is difficult, you can hold your breath for a long time before having to force yourself to take a big, stressful gulp of air. You may get audible hallucinations, such as hearing a chorus of a particular song repeated over and over again, almost mockingly loudly, when you lie in bed. Things like tooth pain that were masked with GABA are felt again. If you were worried about balding, your scalp will feel cold. Your worst fears will be played upon, as if by a demon, and exaggerated. You find it easy to believe in Hell, but impossible to believe in Heaven. It gets worse for the first three days, then stays bad, becomes manageable by the end of the first week of cold turkey, though you stay melancholy for about two more weeks. This is based on having taken a relatively high dose daily for several months. With more sensible dosage, the withdrawal will be far milder.
