How long Indian army officers (technical officers) have to live in field?

As, someone serving in the corps of engineers I think I can answer this question.First of all there’s no desk job in any branch of the forces. An engineer is tasked with carrying out mine destruction/bridge laying/repairs/mine laying/civil constructions/infrastructure development where and when ordered to- that being said you will most likely also be posted for counter terror operations in J and K and the N-E .1)Till the rank of major-Lt Col, you will be deployed with engineer regiments supporting infantry regiments/brigades which means you will be posted in far flung remote border areas.2)That being said not all such formations are in remote areas or far flung places but most of you life will be spent in areas far away from your friends and extended family, you will have the option of taking your wife and children to peace/modified field areas.3)If its a comfortable desk job that you desire then please this may not be the profession for you.Hope it makes you make a better decision

What does the term “Time to Live” field in IP packets mean? How is this field structured in both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes?

The TTL field is basically a hop count that is decremented every time the packet passes through a router. It’s purpose is to ensure that the packet not remain in the network indefinitely if there is a routing loop. In IPv6, the field is called the Hop Limit, but the result is the same. It’s an 8 bit unsigned field, initialized by the sending host. It’s typical to normally set it to 64, which is sufficient for the diameter of today’s Internet.
