Is Everton or Liverpool FC more popular in Liverpool?
Truth hurts but it needs to be articulated now and then. It is true that, according to a recent survey, only about 30% of Man United and Liverpool supporters actually reside in the North West. However, Liverpool have the biggest number of supporters in the UK alone. If that means Liverpool’s UK supporters is 10 times the size of Everton’s UK supporters (about 49% of whom are local), then the number of “local residents” who support Liverpool will probably outnumber Everton’s by almost 6 to 1. In short, mathematically, about 84% of the people in and surrounding Merseyside area in fact support Liverpool. Self-styled people’s clubs cannot fill a 40-thousand-seat ground every week when less than 20% of the locals are their supporters. This is why Everton constantly find their ground too big for them at 39,000 capacity; whereas Liverpool have had no problem filling Anfield after expanding it to a 54k capacity.
Why can't Liverpool fans appreciate what Karius has done for them during the whole season? Even in the UCL Final, he made some great saves. Do few mistakes in one match undo what he has done for the club?
The problem Karius faces is a mental one. He’s displayed some serious lapses of judgement and can mentally switch off in games. He is young, and there is hope of him improving IF he gets his confidence back. The problem is that Liverpool was two mistakes away from extra time in a game that had no margin for error.Consider that Real had shown very little until Benzema’s goal. If Karius turns left, Robertson is open for a roll. Madrid is dropping due to Liverpool’s quick transition game and Benzema is just trying to aid that retreat. But Karius rushes and lets them get in the game in a way they frankly don’t deserve. That’s a bone-headed play straight out of rec leagues around the world. Liverpool’s goal was a great reaction against a team surprisingly susceptible to set-piece goals. As for Bale’s first goal, it is world-class. That is the goal strikers dream of burying while the rest of the team watches in horror as they miss 19 of 20 attempts or worse. Nothing to feel bad about there, it was amazing even as it felt like the game was slipping away from Liverpool.But the kicker is the last goal. Bale with nothing happening around him wanders into a small space 30 yards from goal and launches an uncontested shot. Yes it has pace and movement, but Karius sees it the whole way and at the last second switches from trying to catch it to parry it. Wrong move. And one he makes more often than I feel comfortable with. He punches too often, is questionable catching, and rarely seems comfortable with an open-hand save.That doubt is what concerns us as fans. It’s the same doubt that got Mignolet benched. He’s a better instinctive shot-blocker. But he looks scared when the ball is crossed into the box. That fear will kill a keeper’s confidence and reveal a large hole in their game. Look at the best in the world: Buffon, De Gea, Neuer, ter Stegen, Loris. It isn’t the mistakes, it’s the attitude and lack of doubt that they project to their team. That one went in, won’t happen again. That’s what we want from the keeper, and it isn’t what we’re getting from the guys we have.

How many times must this be explained? Cause he is a lying, exaggerating, flimsy liar whose own FA hates him. He winds up the fans and showed his true colours on Saturday. He is seen as a liar and the report only leaves more room to doubt his credibility than believe a word he said.

Now, im an everton fan so im gonna use this oppurtunity to dig at the red scum. When liverpool were top of the epl benitez was saying they can win the league, same for scolari. Now that they've slipped up and united are top, ferguson does not even mention winning the league and will probably cruise to the title. Now benitez looks like a right muppet because he has handed the title to united. So my question is why are liverpool fans still so cocky when they have given away the thing they wanted most?????? Yes they have the best record against the top 4 than anyone else, but why cant they deliver agianst say,, stoke or fulham. Just twisting the thorn now
