Living In A Dreamworld Trying To Wake Up

What if we are really living in a dream world?

Many Yogi's say that, that this is all a dream, everything is made of dream stuff, just as in lucid dreaming, you can look down at yourself, your hands, and know you are in a dream, but it seems so real, this is a dream also, and we wake up when we pass and know this was a dream, yet some, as in lucid dreaming can see the dream nature of reality. For someone who studies metaphysics, it would be common to say none of this is real. Something real is something permanent, in one dictionary definition, nothing is permanent ever, the nature of life is change. I disagree that were in a dream & our souls are somewhere else, but I agree with that in that our soul is much more than we conceive of and only a small part is functioning in this world, we could be living in many bodies in many times...all at once, in the vastness of our soul. As far as your dream and the creations you make, you do see what you expect to see and what you superimpose on reality..to a degree. You are asking good questions, and are exceptional in your deep thoughts, one day, you will attain mastery in your own right, and maybe be our teacher lol

Are we just stuck in a dreamworld?

Hi, as a dream theorist about the purpose of dreams, I do not believe we are stuck in a dreamworld. But your amazing points however are very close to the truth of matters as I have researched them. You have noticed a parallel between the dream life and waking life, and something missing from waking life. You are sensing that the dream fulfills something consciousness cannot.

Waking consciousness is a beautiful thing - to be able to reflect, solve problems, and turn hopes into concrete reality! That should really be the ultimate vivid experience, shouldn't it? But life is not like the above! As much as we are plagued by them, we rarely admit to the limitations of consciousness: time limits on attention, multiple issues arising at once, too much information to sort out, things that are missed or forgotten, the demands of urgent issues, hunger and pain. Let's not overlook the fact that animals must face these demands on their attention too and that they also dream. We also were not "human" as we are now. We are well equipped to face survival issues in life, though we don't realize it. They only break our miraculous minds will have to explore the vividness of the dimension we do live in is in dreams! Sleep and dreams are the wonderful, unencumbered time that we tap into the existential, to the roots of our emotions, to the inner wisdom that guides our footsteps. We ARE in another dimension, but it is not a far off one. It is the difference between blowing out the candles on your birthday cake while the dog was barking outside and you had to hurry to the 7pm movie and celebrating the joy of being alive, with hopes and aspirations, feeling the beauty of your uniqueness to your core.

Most people have an innate belief in the superiority of human consciousness that they cannot accept the power of that same brain, unencumbered in sleep and REM. You seem to have done just the opposite! I am impressed and happy for you. Dreams and life are an unbroken circle, the sun and moon. Congratulations on not seeing dreams as a lost third of life, they are not!

Do you ever wish you'd never wake up because your dream world is so much better than real life?

I had a dream once when I was a little kid; I was killed by a gun man. The dream brought me to a heaven where they had skate parks and separated mens and ladies rooms.I don’t remember waking up. For all I know, I could be dead and living in an illusion. That or I’m a narcissist who thinks that he was sent to earth to help man kind after their death.

What are some good suggestions to wake up from my dream world (expectations)?

It's simple ,drop it!you know why it hurts when your expectations won't fulfill ,because you attach your happiness to it subconsciously ,thinking by doing that particular thing you'll get something in return then you'll become happy!.The key is to never give any power to chances just assume you are already happy and what ever you're doing is without expectations and whatever you get in return are the surprise rewards.Everyone's prospective towards another is different ,you may sometime think that particular person will think about you or react towards you in a particular way but the story will be entirely different .The reality is we can't control anything and we don't know when we change either ,so what ever you feel to do ,do it and forget then move on to next and do the same .In this way you won't be wasting time thinking about the expectations and you'll be more efficient in your work , will have light emotional load and will be happy.Remember everything is your attitude !.So my suggestion is just-Act and forget! :)

Aveyond v.2.0 Dream World. There is no where to go in dreamworld. Not even a castle. NOTHING!?

Ok here is my problem. I'm suppose to get the torch for melting the ice block with the clock so I can kill the guy. Only I can't do that because I can't find the glow berries which seem to be in Dreamworld. Ok but the only problem with that is. There is no where for me to go. When I enter there is only a small cave with a red chest. And then there is a blue chest across the bridge and up north a few steps. Then there are the 2 monsters that I can fight. NOTHING ELSE! What do I do? It might be a glitch but help me out please.

If we die in a dream, we wake up in reality. So if we die in reality do we wake up in dream?

When you die in dream, you come back to reality as your brain tries to keep you alive and awakes all your senses and thus you come out of sleep and so out of dream. You went to dream from reality. So out of dream is reality. When you die in reality, you have to  go to the state from where you came to reality. That's for you to find out, as to from where you came to reality.

I want to go to sleep and wake up in a different world?

I want to go to sleep and wake up somewhere wonderful. A place where people are happy and there's adventures to be had and discoveries to be made. A place where magic is real and there really is someone for everybody. A place where you don't wake up and spend the whole day wanting to go to bed again. Nowhere like that exists. What can I do?

Do any of you have a hard time waking up in the morning because you don't want to leave your "dream world" and what are some of the more strange dreams you just didn't want to leave?

I've written about this dream before, but sometimes, in that state of half-sleeping and half-waking, I don't have perspective on what's more urgent or more real, even when I know it's just a dream. The dream I'm thinking of is that there were people trapped on the bottom of the ocean and in danger of drowning. So I was swimming to the bottom of the ocean, grabbing a person and, one by one, pulling them back to the surface and onto the beach. It was during this dream when I started to wake up, the part of my mind that was awake was saying, gotta get up, get ready for work. The problem was that I hadn't finished saving all the people at the bottom of the ocean, so I did a quick priority calculation and decided that saving lives was more important than getting to work on time. Which meant I had to stay asleep. I reasoned that saving lives was a more-than-adequate reason to be late for work.So I was determined to stay asleep as long as possible and actively resisted waking up all the way, now hurredly trying to save as many lives before waking properly which I could slow down but not stop altogether now that the process of waking had gotten started.Of course, when I woke up enough to remember that the things that happened in dreams had no real correlation with what happened in reality, I bolted up, realising I was going to be late for work and hurredly started getting ready. That was probably the most extreme case of something like that happening, but not the only case. I sometimes feel like I have to see the resolution of what is happening in my dream as if that's more important than my responsibilities during the day. And often, my determination to get more sleep and my sense of urgency of knowing I have to get to work translates into me dreaming I'm getting dressed and going to work and I’ll be halfway on the train or even already in the office before I notice that I'm actually still in my sleep clothes and haven't even left the bed, yet.
