Expecting to work in Quebec without French - what gives?

I'm venting, I know, but I just HAVE to ask this question.

Lots of people come on Q/A asking how to find a job in Quebec when they don't know any French. Some whine and rant about it.

Then you have people bitching about French-speakers wanting Quebec to be an independent country.

So in a nutshell, people whine because they have to know French to work in Quebec, try to find ways to work around that requirement and then complain because Quebec wants to become a French-speaking independent political entity to prevent that from happening.

Would anyone ask how they can find work in Germany without knowing German, or in China without knowing Chinese? So why is Quebec expected to tolerate that. Because it is part of Canada? Doesn't anyone see the direct link here? Doesn't anyone understand that that just isn't workable anymore?

Now is your turn to lash out at me for asking this.

Is there a way to bring baby furniture/items from the states to Kaiserslautern, Germany? My husband is in the army and I'm 18 weeks pregnant?

I have been in Germany for about a month now. We are going home in March to visit for 20 days. I absolutely hate all the crib sizes here (none convert into toddler beds). I haven't found any cheap furniture I want either. Almost everything I would want is from Wal-Mart, Target, and the "American" Amazon. Our parents want to buy everything, but do not want to pay $100+ to ship each item. My mom isn't doing well financially and can only afford to get stuff with her Walmart card, because she can make payments. Is there any moving company we could trust to ship our nursery items when we go home in March? My husband and I didn't even get married until after he was in Germany, so I was unable to bring any household goods for free over here. What do we do? We want to save money, but this is our first baby (our rainbow baby), so I want a decent nursery.
