Local Seniors Dining Spots

Senior playing jv. Embarrassed.?

I see you posted another one :) There is no need for you to be embarassed. You should only quit if you really don't want to play, not because you may not be as good as you want to be. You gotta give yourself some credit. Most people start sports at much younger ages. I started basketball when I was seven. I had SIX whole years to work on my skills before even getting to high school. I was lucky enough to play varsity all four years, but look at the time I had to practice. If you're JUST starting in your Junior year, you'd have to be a prodigy to make varsity. I got to start and play more minutes as a freshman than some seniors did, and I know guys that were Juniors and Seniors that got cut for Freshmen that played better, or benched to Freshman and Sophomore starters. Sorry for talking so much about myself! Please, don't feel bad about yourself. Give it your all and don't quit unless you really don't want to play. I believe in you!

What kind of paint do you use on asphalt for painting your own parking space?

Any Home Depot and a lot of hardware stores sell a specific paint called 'traffic paint' designed and formulated for asphalt or pavement painting. This is the same high-quality paint the street maintenance crews use. You can get it in the standard traffic colors of blue, white, yellow and red. This specially formulated enamel paint dries to the tough in about a half-hour.

Behr, Glidden and Rustoleum all sell versions of this traffic paint and Home Depot will sell either the Behr and Glidden or Rustoleum brands. The only Krylon paint offered by Home Depot is in spray paint form.

(NOTE: You won't need special equipment, like a paint sprayer, to do the job yourself. All you'll need is several rolls of masking tape, a drop cloth or two and a brush. You might also want some white chalk to chalk mark off the your lines. Then you use the masking tape, making sure you press the tape smugly into the rough surfaces of the asphalt, following your chalk drawn lines.)

And I apologize for the distractions that have nothing to do with offering you the best possible solution to your specific needs. Fragile egos that appear as vexations can sidetrack the original intent.

I mentioned Home Depot because they have stores across the country in most locations how. You can also buy this traffic paint in your local Do It Center hardware stores if there isn't a Home Depot near you.

What are some good local restaurants in Vienna, Austria? (Does not have to be Austrian food)

There are several good restaurants in Vienna, I suggest you check out Yelp or Foursquare for more regional info.Places that I can personally recommend:Salzberg - good Austrian and other food - near U4 Pilgramgasse (Salzberg Bar Restaurant)Wieden Bräu - typical Austrian food with their in-house brewery (Wieden Bräu)Soya - nice little Sushi place at Mariahilferstrasse (Soya)Natsu - very affordable basic sushi in several locations (Natsu)Kolariks Luftburg (Kolariks Luftburg)Schweizerhaus (Wiener Gastgarten der Familie Kolarik)Those two are located right next to each other at the "Wiener Prater" and are owned by the same family. Very good food and atmosphereThere are, of course, many more! This is just a glimpse and I think a good startCheers, Jurgen

On average, how much do food servers make per hour including tips?

hi! i'm a server at a Denny's in Michigan, right off the highway (city of only about 50,000) and i've served at least six months in, and rotated through, all three shifts in about 2 years of employment~firstly, my typical two-week check from the company is only ever up to around $15.00— that’s right: Fifteen Dollars, for 2 Weeks—but the vast majority of my checks are usually $0.00. this is because i claim much closer to my actual wages than most servers, so the taxes taken by the government actually consume my entire 35–45-hr (sometimes even 50 hours, waiting tables!) company paycheck.~*that said*~my 1st shift week usually went as such:Wed, 7:30am-3pm ~ $140Thu, 8:30am -2:30pm ~ $115Fri, 5pm-10pm ~ $125Sat, 10am-7pm (this frequently turned into 10am-10pm) ~ $160-$250Sun, 9am-4pm ~ $130some servers are efficient, and some servers rely on personality; the best is a blend of both. however, i'm only a moderate multitasker, so i don't turn tables as quickly as some of my peers, but i am considered one of the “stronger” servers in our restaurant.on average, i've come to expect roughly $650-$700 a week from tips alone, not having any real check to cash.now, my guest check average is usually ~$10.50 at a chain diner in a fairly quiet town (that's per guest, not per table), and usually end up with an average tip of about 22% of sales, and generally expect to make $18-$20/hr! once i was the only server in the restaurant, and my manager was the only cook for an… unexpectedly hectic Monday evening, which are normally very slow, and earned around $30/hr (not bad for remembering to refill drinks for a living)!if you were to ask a server in a 5-Star fine dining establishment or something along those lines, i wouldn't be surprised to hear numbers even thrice mine!hope this helps! :)

Elderly and handicapped parking, a question.?

And yet again, i find myself editing this thing. Good grief- I get it. Some people have unseen illnesses which are valid. I understand those who have COPD or heart deisease etc. etc. I have trouble with those who HAVE obtained it "legally" but seem spry enough to walk around the giant mall for exercise....seems like a working of the system to me. Also, for the nay-sayer "taxi" lady, i work in a town with a large mall. Somedays, my whole beat is just the mall, so sorry- no red light runners or speeders to speak of. Pretty much shop lifters and illegal parking, so by that rationale, I am in fact, not "harrassing" the old folks and disabled people, I am in fact, ensuring that the spots are open to those who legally (and rightfully) need them. I do not run after every person I see exiting their car without crutches or a chair. I happen to be a pleasant and fair officer, thank you very much! And by the way, if you were truly disabled, i bet you would appreciate my little pet peeve!

Should i quit my high school volleyball team my senior year?

ive been on my high school volleyball team since i was a freshman, and this is my secod year on varsity. last year i did not play becuase the then seniors already had most of the spots. i was content with that, my friend adn i made it and amazing year by cheering and being super supportive, i honestly loved it and even when we lost in the semifinals i was happy with how well the season went. we had a great group of girls and it was a lot of fun. this year we have been practiving for about a month now and i have third string.. behind 2 girls who were on jv last year. my best friend who i cheered with last year transferred and all my other close friends are starters( they are amazing!) i am so frustrated and all i can think about is quitting. I cna accept that Im not good enough but then its like why should i stay here everyday until 6 when i could be doing other things that make me happy.. such as working. i have a great job and i would love to work more and make more money for college. my coach is a hardass so i am scared of what she would say but i feel like i need to quit becuase its what i want to do and it will ultimately make me happier. however i am still doubtful and once i quit theres no turning back so i have to make the right decision. help?
