Lolita Fashion Jsk And Petticoat Help

Should I wear a Lolita dress to prom?

I'm really into Japanese fashion and I think Lolita dresses are absolutely adorable. I would like to wear one for prom, but i'm not sure what to get. I don't want the dress to look too much like i'm cosplaying or anything. More pretty and elegant.

These are my top choices. It's such a hard choice though. Thoughts?

Lolita fashion in school?

I am starting to fall in love with the Lolita fashion, and before you ask, it is not based on some awful book. It is a very modest fashion based off of Victorian and Rococo era dresses that originates in Japan and is absolutely adorable. I love how ladylike it looks, and I love the cute, sweet, innocent vibe it gives off. The thing is, my school has a dresscode... I need to find some fairly cheap, solid colored JSKs, Skirts, or Collared blouses. Possibly also solid colored, collared OPs. If the OP has a built in blouse that is a different solid color, that is okay. Can someone help me, please?
Oh, and here are a few pieces I like. Opinions?

And any tips or stories of your own experiences wearing Lolita in school would be great, too. Thanks. x3

Lolita fashion in school..? Lolitas answer?

I looove the lolita style. I think it's beautiful. I want to start dressing in this style next year, However, I'm just starting high school next year. I am not afraid of being teased or whatever.

I just don't want my dresses to get in the way.

~I have gym every other day and I'd have to change in approx. 5 mins.
~I would have to fit into desks and
~I'd have to be able to go up stairs and through busy hallways,
but I don't want to get in the way of other people.

do you have any trouble in school?

also, i would really appreciate it if you could give brands or pictures of dresses like the one in the link below:

First time: Lolita Fashion. What should I know? And how can I get my Mother to approve?

I've never worn Lolita before and I would really like to wear this fashion.

Since I'm a newbie, I would like to know a few basics, such as, would you recommend I not wear it to school? What pieces I should buy first? Where to buy the lolita (most recommended stores)?

I also have a little problem. My mom. She's very bitter about these kinds of things. When I first purchased my first cosplay she couldn't understand the purpose of it. I would constantly tell her that it's just for dress-up and it is my hobby and it's something that I fully enjoy. (At least I'm not out smoking pot like those other kids!) I'm a little afraid to tell her about the Lolita. When I explained the cosplay to her she would barely pay attention and then she'd end the conversation with, "Look, Natalie, I don't want to talk about." I don't know why, seeing as though, I paid for it myself with my own money and I rarely ever bring it up. Okay, let's just say, communication with my mother is not 100% great. We rarely ever talk and she spends most of her time criticizing me (whether it'd be my hair or my clothes or my face. You name it.) :(

I need help convincing her that Lolita is totally okay...

Please help me and thank you.

You are given $10,000 in cash, and ordered to spend it all by the end of the day. How would you spend it?

LET’S FUCKING GO.…Though this is in cash, which means I’d have to drive to stores and pay in person, ack. 24 hours should give me enough time. I’ll cash it in and shop online. This is in AUD dollar currency, because fuck conversion even though I could spend less that way.I would try buy all the parts for an ultimate PC set up, but I can't be fucked to find all the best parts.Samsung Galaxy S8 (I’ll pre order) (1,200)iPhone 6s (649)Macbook Pro 15 inch 2017 (3,600 - damn.)Dell XPS 15 inch (2,000)Corsair One (1,800)A shit tonne of wool and various knitting supplies (100~)Shoes (200~)Games on steam (100~)A drawing tavlet (100~)Launchpad (100~)Bluetooth headphones (150~)If not all that shit, then booking a bunch of planes and holidays for the future.Or I could just buy the Acer Predator 21x and spend the left over money on insurance for that fucking beast.

I really like the style of lolita but its expensive and its too... Fluffy for me?

I absolutely LOVE lolita dresses and skirts, i like the ruffles and lace, ribbons and shoes, but its just so darn expensive. I know that i would need, headwear, a blouse, skirt, petticoat, knee socks, and shoes that are like mary janes but i dont really wanna wear all that, plus its summer and its like a heat wave -.-"... I guess what im getting at here is, i want to dress like that but i dont want to be that extravagnt, casual lolita i suppose but more... I guess "normal" looking so im a bit different and still am along the lines (on the borderline of crossing into the lolita fashion) of lolita style.... (sorry this is sooo long and confusing) i want nonexpensive, clothing thats based off of lolita skirts and dresses, do you know any places that sell fluffy skirts, cute headwear, and blouses? (that was messily written and im sorry, i just wanted a few people to know that i know what lolita style is and yes im a bit of a n00b but thank you sooo much if you can answere this...)

Why are "bodyline" lolita clothes so cheap?

Lately I've had my eye out for Lolita clothes since I have never owned any clothes of the sort. I'd like to have at least one dress for conventions. They're very expensive so I am looking for the cheapest thing that I can buy/that I actually like. Brands like Angelic Pretty and Sweet Rococo run to about $250 to $450. Then I found websites like Bodyline and JJLolita and why are they so cheap? Are they not a good quality?

Some of the Bodyline JSK dresses are $30 to $50... What is up with that?
