Long-term Swollen Tonsils And Lymph Node Behind Ear

Swollen tonsil and neck lymph node?

Hi I am 28 years old man, (non smoker, 3-4 drinks a week). I have had a right swollen tonsil and I feel a small bulge also on the right lymph node under my chin. Its been for at least 5-6 months. My ear nose and throat doctor prescribed 4 or 5 sets of antibiotics and they are all not working. They managed to decrease the size of my lymph node but I still feel it when I put my fingers on my neck. I have no other symptoms no pain or headache but my left nostril is clogged 80% of the time (been forever like this) due to allergies I guess.
I am worried because I cant figure out what is wrong with me and I am seriously getting worried. Please help

Swollen lymph nodes near jaw under ear?

OK, today is the 2nd day my lymph nodes under my right ear near my jaw joint is swollen upon awakening. Yesterday, it was most swollen when I first woke up, then it gradually subsided during the day. I have no fever or any indication of an infection of any sort. Anyone have a similar experience, and how did it get resolved? Can this be an issue with my immune system going haywire, as in allergies?

Swollen lymph nodes under ear?

Probably associated with your virus infection...
Causes of swollen lymph glands include the following:
Infection - the common cause

The lymph glands near to an infection swell quickly and become tender as the immune system 'fights off' infecting germs (bacteria, virus, etc). The lymph glands usually go back to their normal 'pea size' when the infection is over. It can take a week or so for them to gradually go back to normal after the infection. Examples include the following:

* Throat infections and tonsillitis may cause lymph glands in the neck to swell.
* Skin infections of the arm may cause lymph glands in the armpit to swell.
* Infections of the leg or genitals may cause lymph glands in the groin to swell.
* Virus infections such as glandular fever affect the whole body. You may then develop swollen lymph glands in various parts of the body such as the neck, armpit and groins.

Mention it at your next check up, but if you start to feel worse or get more swollen glands see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis.

Swollen lymph nodes forever?

once lymph nodes become swollen from an infection they don't always go back to their original size. if you are thin or they are in an area without a lot of skin/muscle you may still be able to feel them for a long time. I have one in front of my left ear that I have been able to feel for over 20 years. If they truly haven't changed in 2 1/2 years you are probably fine but you would still be best served letting a doctor check them to be sure.

Enlarged lymph node behind right ear?

Has anyone ever had this before? I've never had a lymph node swell there before in my life.
I had a repeat for some amoxillin left over from last year and I've been taking them for three days but it's not getting smaller. I'm terrified it's cancer and I'm just about making myself sick. Can anyone tell me if they've had this before and what it turned out to be?

Sooo much pain.. lymph node, ear, tonsil, tooth, and jaw?

i go into work at 11am tomorrow. and im not sure which doctor i should visit first. the dentist or the reg. doctor.

it started about 5 days ago. my lymph node got swollen on the right side. towards the end of the day it got a little sore.

the next day my right tonsil swelled up.. and made it difficult to eat or swallow.. and towards the end of the day my right ear started to hurt pretty bad.

day 3, i woke up with my ear THROBBING, swollen lymph node and tonsil. (you maybe wondering why i didn't go to the doctor, i don't get paid till day 4, and im not elegable for insurance untill my first 90 days at work is up, which is in 2 months)

day 4, i woke up with blood in my drool on my pillow. checked my mouth and my wisdom tooth, on the right side, is flared and sore. and bleeds when i brush my teeth or eat. (ive never had any problems with my wisdom tooth and ive had them all for about 3-4 years now)

got paid at work today, but cant put the check into my account until tomorrow morning. i got sent home early from work, they told me to go to the doc before i go in tomorrow. i went home, slept for about 3 hours. then woke up with my entire lower right jaw throbbing, ear screaming in pain, sore neck, and sore throat. im going to the doctors tomorrow before work, but i don't know which one i should walk in on first. does it sound like a dentist issue? or does it sound like a doctor issue?

has any one else experienced this before? my dad is giving me some of his hydrocodine to last me till i can go in. i don't know what else to do.
