Look After Or Take Care Of

How does "look after yourself" differ from "take care of yourself", or simply "take care"in signing off on an email? Which would you use if you think that might be the last time you ever see that person?

The differences are quite subtle.Let’s take them in order.Look after yourself. This suggests a person should be making sure that they are doing the necessary things to keep themselves healthy. It implies that they haven’t been doing as such. Tone goes a long way with this and usage as well. This is the sort of thing you might say if you were worried about someone’s health both mental and physical and that you think they may not be doing as such.Take care of yourself. This is almost exactly the same as the first one. The nuance I would personally use is that this is more to do with the physical side than encompassing mental health as well. That is where the difference lies with this and the first one. You aren’t necessarily worried that they aren’t taking care of themselves but if they are you might use this as an admonishment. I might use it as a reaction to someone doing something that has landed them with an injury. It has more of an order type of tone than the first one.Take care. This is the odd one out to me. It is informal and doesn’t really have any weight behind it. I might use this when saying goodbye to someone. Perhaps if they are going off to do something I know about or if they are walking home alone at night.Personally I wouldn’t use any of these to sign off an email per se. I might use it before signing off an email but it is contextual. If you aren’t seeing them again ever (within you knowledge) then it depends what your relationship was like beforehand. If it was a professional connection or someone I hadn’t known for long (such as knowing them for the length of a conference or such) then I might use take care but would err on the side of ‘Nice meeting you, take care.’ I would probably omit take care as well.If you have known the person for a long time and this is some sort of breakup that is perhaps mutual then use of the first two would be fine. Thanks for the A2A.

English Grammar: What is the difference between 'take care of' and 'take care for'?

I haven't seen take care for being used generally but I'll just explain the difference between of and for in this context. When you take care of someone, you are looking after them and taking care of them yourself. When you take care for someone, the “someone” is the reason as to why you are taking care of the unspecified person. However, I've seen take care of abc for my sake / xyz's sake. So you can use the both of them together and it is grammatical as well.Cheers.

omg!!! people can be REAL frickin ***holes!!! omg she is so mature!! i cant belive you people that give her such a hard time she is just asking what she should so with her rabbits!!! what if she DIDNT post this?? Her nethies could have died!!! Just because you jerks dont have a life, doesnt mean you can go around and screw up other peoples!! Her rabbits are a sake, and some people are just being a real ******* about it, and are not thinking about the bunnies.

Anyways im 13, my netherland dawrf died on x-mas eve. :( so i have owned one, and im 13 so i know how it feels. I think you should give them away to a caring family that dosnt have and little kids. Or if your school has a 4-h club, talk to the leader and ask if you can maybe sell them. Please sell them cuz if rabbits dont get enough exercize out of there cages, its not very healthy for them.

Good luck, and hope this helps! :)

What are some animals that do not care for their young?

fish. (my fish ate her babies)

Which animals look after their old?

As far as I know, no animals care for their old in the same way that humans do. Humans take care of senior citizens who can no longer take care of themselves. In other animals, I think the best comparison is species in which groups rely on knowledge that older matriarchs possess. These species tend to be female philopatric (or male and female philopatric), and in some of them, females have menopause, which is extremely rare among mammals generally. So these species are: some whales (killer whales, some pilot whales), elephants, and maybe some others. But as I alluded to, the complete care of the very old may be a trait that is unique to humans.

How to take care of yard Skink eggs?

"Newly laid eggs should be carefully removed and partially buried (the
exact same way they were laid) in an incubation medium contained in a
shallow container. The eggs can be buried to about two-thirds (2/3) of
their thickness, the exposed third (1/3) allows you to inspect the
eggs without disturbing the eggs. Various experiments with all sorts
of incubation media have been successful, but the most satisfactory
method has beenthe use of granular vermiculite. This inert, sterile,
absorbent insulating material is available in many grades, but for
incubation purposes a fine grade is used. Mixed with about its own
weight of water, the vermiculite will provide an ideal medium for
incubation. The lid of the incubation box should have a few
ventilation holes but not so many as to allow the loss of moisture.
The box is placed in a heated incubator and maintained at a tempature
of around 78-86F' will be adequate for most species. A simple wooden
box containing an incandescent light bulb and a thermostat to regulate
the tempature are all that are required." Good luck!

Boyfriend of 5 years wont look after me after surgery?

Charlotte, he is no good.

My mother had back surgery plenty of times! The most recent was last month, & she is still recovering. If it weren't for my father & me, her daughter, she would of struggled so much.

Point is, my father cared/cares for my mother amazingly. He inspired me! He stayed with her in the hospital day & night for days, made sure she ate & bathed & went to the bathroom. Helped her walk & made sure the nurses were doing their job good. If they didnt, he was the first to curse them out, even when my grandmother came up to help. He hasn't had s.e.x in years, & still loves her.(ik this b.c my mother has some problem where she cant feel anything down in her area, & with so many back surgeries it's not possible) he has seen her at her worst! Where she has smelled to seeing her back all stapled up to watching her bathe & go to the bathroom. He works over 60 hours a week as a truck driver & when he gets home around 2-3 am, he is helping her, to when he wakes up at 11:30 & is off to work again after a nap. There's much more, but you understand.

If your boyfriend is not willing to care & help for you during this obstacle in your life, he's nothing but an issue. He SHOULD be supporting you, ready to take on the roll of being a MAN and stepping up to the plate. God only knows what your bf would be like with children. This is not to insult you, but you deserve BETTER. As a woman, surgery is a difficult time & you deserve a man who will hold your hand & pick you right back up after that surgery. Honestly, you should leave him. He's nothin! Find people who can help you, because you will need someone. A friend or cousin or family member of some sort. & after you've recovered, find a new man. :)

Trust me, this is a sign that your bf isn't the one. 5 years & suddenly he doesn't wanna be there for you? Something is up.

Goodluck! & sorry for the longness haha.
