Looking For A Collection Of Short Stories On Physical Pain.

A short description for pain? For story!?

I held myself limply against the wall as i felt an aching sensation run through my body and to my head; it was excruciating. It was pain like i had never experienced before. At the moment, I wanted to just grab my head and scream "stop!" but i couldn't even lift my arms against the pain i felt.

And i think you're an excellent writer. Sometimes we all have our blank moments.

Does having cancer cause physical pain?

Cancer does eventually cause pain. Usually in the beginning stages, the pain will be minimal, if at all but, in the later stages the pain can get severe and sometimes even doctors have trouble controlling it. The location and type of pain is individual to the location and type of cancer the person has. Unfortunately though, pain in the beginning stages is often overlooked or attributed to some other illness, and isn't properly diagnosed until it's progressed to the late stages, which often makes it incurable. I will give you a great example that I have used many times when explaining just how hard cancer is to diagnose in some cases. My mother, who recently passed away from peritoneal cancer a little over a month ago, started losing alot of weight about six months before her death. She also was having a minor but nagging stomach ache. She went to her doctor, and was given antibiotics and told that it was a kidney infection, and that the meds would clear it right up. Long story short, she ended up back at the doctor 3 more times, with the pain worse each time, and no meds he could give her were effective. Finally, she ended up having some scans and tests and by the time the results were in, she was already in stage 4 of peritoneal cancer and ended up going into cardiac arrest that night and dying the next morning. By the day before her death, her stomach had swelled up really big from malignant acsites and the pain was unbearable. So, in short, yes, cancer does cause pain. Hope this helps. Take care!

Have anyone ever experience physical pain after having a nightmare?

Ok, I'm really scared of the dark. I sleep with my door closed, because I don't want anything coming in, epecially demon like or of evil nature.
Long story short, last night i had a horrible nightmare, and when i woke up my left ankle felt like someone had squeezed it. I wasnt sleeping on it. If you don't know this feeling squeeze your wrist as tight as you can or have some do it for you. Have anyone ever exprience something like that? Thats not the first time it happened to me either. This time it wasnt as bad as the first time. Could it be something that comes and casts a dark spell over me when im sleeping?
Another question has anyone ever heard themselves breathe, like really heavy during sleep, but their not dreaming? What's that?
Why when I get one horrible nightmare, it is followed by another one. I dont fall back alseep right away. I listen to calming soothing songs before i go back to sleep.
I know this isn't a diagonsis, I would love to hear your experience having nightmares and some insight on why i feel that way.

Can mental health stress/worry cause physical symptoms?

Hi everybody.

I suffer from severe anxiety at times and this hasnt helped my situation. To cut a long story short, I've had this mole for a long time that i was suspicious of, anyway I went and got it checked and he said it was okay but to get it removed anyway. So ever since I started randomly worrying about it, ive started to get this ache on my right breast(the mole is on my boob!). I keep feeling it because i've been worrying like mad, and it doesnt hurt to touch at all, its just a dull ache around the outside of my breast.

My qusetion is, it started to ache as soon as I got madly obsessed with this mole and I can not stop looking and feeling it because I keep thinking its somthing bad. I have tried to stop thinking about it but I keep obsessing over it. Can stress and worry cause physical symptoms? I'm going mad!

Thanks!

Did Kurt Cobain feel pain when he took his life???

doesn't matter
before he shot himself he injected a complete overdose of heroin into himself, he barely would have had time to fumble with the shotgun & shoot himself after 5 seconds.

as for you not ''registering'' it, its more the fact that you've just shot your brain which essentially is the driving force of your body.
we die without certain organs but that takes time, the brain though with a rough bang can just shut down completely (then there is the process of where it shuts down the rest of the body & you are officially dead from lack of brain activity)

long story short i highly doubt he felt any pain especially seeming as a shotgun fires over a large area, it would have hit alot of areas of his brain at once
