Good airsoft gun for hunting?

You're kidding, right? Everybody, and I do mean EVERYBODY, knows that an airsoft gun is not for hunting. Doesn't the name airSOFT give you a slight clue that it might not be satisfactory for hunting? Oh, I suppose if you wanted to hunt Nerf Bunnies it might be okay. If mommy is not a very good housekeeper, you could look under the beds and shoot dust bunnies. That's about the wildest game you could shoot with your little airsoft gun.

Just because many people hunt with a BB gun doesn't make it legal to hunt game animals with it. The llikelyhood of just wounding an animal rather than killing it quickly is extremely high with a BB gun. It is, therefore, unethical to hunt living creatures with them. They should be restricted to shooting non-living targets such as cans and paper targets.

Are there any good airsoft guns that i can get at dick's sporting goods?

The only somewhat acceptable AEGs sold at sporting goods stores are the Official licensed SIG 552, this gun is actually made by JG and is not bad. I have one and upgraded the hell out of it, and now it shoots as good as a KWA. The other acceptable AEG is the Cybergun thompson, a lot of veteran airsoft players get this gun as a cheap alternative to the Tokyo Marui one. It also requires some upgrading, I did to mine, but it is not too bad either. It started out as a CYMA thompson but is rebranded and sold by cybergun.

Of course, the best AEGs are online, try airsoftgi.com for guns and evike.com for parts and accesories.

What does your Airsoft gun look like?

My gun is a Classic Army Mk22, which is essentially a SCAR, but it has a few minor differences because CA lost the rights to manufacture SCAR replicas. Unfortunately, the Mk22 comes with a stock that only fits very small batteries, and even that's a tight squeeze. I solved the problem by throwing on a SCAR to M4 style stock adapter and a Krytac stock, allowing me to fit bigger batteries with less fuss, which is good because the gun comes with a nice rate of fire and shoots laser beams. Anyway, here it is, with a filter because the lighting I was shooting under ruined how it looked.I think I’ll put a suppressor on it and maybe get some better fitting mags, but otherwise I couldn't be happier with this gun. Never fails to get a compliment on the field on either performance or looks. I love my baby.Edit: Realized I should have probably mentioned my sidearm too. Nothing so heavily modified as my Mk22, but looks just as good.My sidearm is a Walther PPQ Tac, a nice little GBB pistol.I put a laser on mine, just recently, which I think really makes it look nicer. The gun performs nicely too. Of course, you can only ask so much of an airsoft pistol, so I won't pretend it's the best gun ever.

Is DBoys a good airsoft gun brand?

Not really. Pretty low-end china stuff. For good brands, see Tokyo Marui, Krytac, VFC or G&P. Mid-level are G&G, ICS, LCT, E&L, Specna Arms, King Arms, Classic Army etc. Lower end are chinese brands like JG, Cyma (which do make some respectable AK replicas, however), DBoys etc.If you want to go to the top, check Systema for M4 and Real Sword for AK’s

Are Tokyo Marui Airsoft guns a good choice?

Tokyo Maruis are the best guns out there. The only thing that comes close are King Arms and CA's.

To answer you questions
1.It will last you from 1 year to forever depending on how you treat it

2.To take care of an AEG you have to lube it everymonth to verey time you use it depending on the player you are you also have t ogo into AEX everynow and then for them to look at the gearbox and the motor and such

3.For BB's use Exel .2's as these are the best(in my opinion) dont use anything under .2's in your AEG and i think .25 ould be a little bit too much.

4.for the battery the one it comes with should be fine but if it dosent come with one try to get a 9.6volt battery with as much MAH as you can get. For betteries check out this info page
