Bowstring length:Ben Pearson Pony 7020 30#?
The Pony 7020 was a 60" semi-recurve from about 1969 and 1970. It came in 20-40# weights with that infamous delrin "arrow rest" you could move from left to right. Brace height should be 6.5 - 7.5" Pearson used "Pony" for some other models as well but they have some real differences. There was even a 68" Pearson Pony for a while that didn't have that delrin arrow rest. That bow should be strung in between the rule-of-thumb for longbows (3" shorter) and recurves (4" shorter) to about 3.5" shorter than AMO in order to get your brace height. I string mine (I have two of those) with 57" Dacron B-50 strings and then twist them down to the best brace height. I also knocked that arrow rest out entirely and shoot it off-the-hand like a longbow. As vintage Pearsons go, that was a pretty inexpensive ($22.50) bow in its day but made for really good club/camp and teaching bows. These are some really durable bows - I use them to loan to people I think might get too rough with my gear. If you're buying a stock string from somewhere - go with a 57" Dacron string and twist your brace height into it. Longbow strings work fine since the limbs aren't very wide. You'll know when the height is perfect - it shoots very quiet at just the right brace. At too low it will slap the daylights out of your wrist.
Most affordable wedding flowers?
Stressed Bride to be needs help! We are getting married on august 16th, our wedding date was moved up from October so now were scrambling to get the ball rolling. We need to get our flower budget. I tried doing my own research but didn't really get anywhere. Our entire wedding budget needs to be under $4000. For flowers we would need my bouquet, and three brides maids. Maybe a single flower or small basket for the flower girl. The grooms Boutonniere, with 3 groomsmen and ring bearer. 25 Small vases (that we already have) for centerpieces and a nice arrangement for the head table. I think that would be all we'd need. (feel free to suggest anything else!) If it is cheaper we could arrange our own bouquets we can. Also thinking of using carnations and babies breath, unless theres cheaper flowers to use. Any florists or previous brides or planners please help! Where should I go, What should I use and how much should I budget?
