What do you think of making friends over the internet?
@Joshms: My opinion? Well, I think you and all my other contacts are proof that I have *no* problem with making friends with people on the internet. Just as you have no idea if the person you're talking to on the internet is a crazy murderer, you have no idea if the person living across the street from you is a murderer as well. Does that mean you should completely avoid any confrontations with every human in the world by the chance that they might want to hurt you? I know all about "stranger danger", but I think I've made pretty certain on a lot of you guys that you are who you say you are. And I'm not careless either, though. There *have* been people I've met online that I've been creeped out by and blocked. Onetime some guy on formspring asked for a picture of me, someone I'd never seen before, so I blocked him and deleted his question question. Running out of characters...

She is the person who knows you much more better than any other person in the world...But if you have any hesitation to share your feelings to your mother or any family members and even you don't have any friends too to share it then I would say vow down, meditate and concentrate; try to link yourself to the ultimate 'Supreme Self', you can share everything to this ultimate consciousness. I even had done this and I feel very relax and I have a best friend also to share my views. I'm sure you'll also get your best friend soon who understands you very well and can share everything to that person. Just have faith in yourself, be calm and feel the beauty of nature, try to visualize the reality of life and people. See, I had myself get the betrayal from many friends. They use me as their "Beneficial Investment" but now it's over. I'm okay with my songs, my best friend, my father and mother and my studies...

So my friend mentioned these Korean websites to me and the stuff on here is pretty cheap. I told my mom I wanted to purchase some things, but she said since they're so cheap it might be a scam and they might be trying to get my credit card information. Do not go anywhere private, make sure you meet with him in a public place. Carry a can of mace, and don't be too afraid to kick him in the groin if things do go bad. Don't listen to your emotions on this guy at first, they will cloud your judgement. Look for anything as your talking to him that might set off alarm bells. If there is any doubt to what his intentions might be then just make sure you do not go anywhere private with him period. I would also suggest that you spend a lot of time emailing him back and forth before meeting him. Get a good feel for who he is, lets face it there are a lot of evil people on the internet and this could be one of them(I wouldn't let that statement alone deter you, as you can walk out the door of your house and run into just the same amount of evil). As far as it goes, yes there have been many successful relationships born from meeting people on the internet. And just as many horror stories. But then it is that way without the net also. I myself met my wife online playing a mmorpg. We've been together for 4 years now and i don't believe we will ever split up. We spent a lot of time talking before we ever met, and it was only on her request that we did meet (I wanted to but wouldn't do it until she was absolutely certain that she wanted to meet up with me). There is a good chance that he is just looking for a quick booty call or maybe just sex buddies. Better make sure you really are ok with that.
