How to play League of Legends at college?
Since starting college I've been trying to play League of Legends with my friends but the college here blocks Peer 2 peer to prevent torrenting. Some people recommended Hotspot Shield which i got but now i can just get past the patcher. unfortunately something weird happens at the login. i type in my password and username and then it just says that it didn't receive a response from the server and attempts 3 times to connect. something i noticed is that the check for the "remember my username" stays checked but everytime i close the client the checks on the Disable animation and music buttons are always unchecked. i didnt know if that really mattered but i figured it was strange enough to list. is there anyway i can play league here?
Is 24 mbps internet good to play league of legends?
Yes, it is a great internet speed. the person with the cellphone has 600 kbps, not mpbs. And the person saying that's slow they have 54 mbps and their parents have 108 mbps is wrong. That is their LAN speed. Inside of their own network, they can get those speeds, but through the internet they most likely cannot. My internet speed is 10 mbps but my entire network speed (wired) is 1 gigabit. That means I can transfer files from one computer on my network to another on my network at 1000 mbps. But anything on the internet is a MAX of 10 mbps with my connection. I'm assuming you're reading this in your wireless connection status: 24mbps. That means you're connected to the network at that speed, but if the internet has only 1 mbps speed, you will only get 1mbps across the internet. There is a different between your network and your internet. But then again, since everyone else is assuming internet speed = network speed, you probably are as well and my answer, though it is the best answer to your actual worded question thus far, is probably not what you were looking for because you truly want to know about the network speed.
League of Legends Tips?
Hello I have been playing LoL (league of Legends) for over a year now and I'm level 30 but i still suck terribly, unless I'm SUPER lucky and have a good match, And I'm not looking for "last hit minions" and builds or "know you champion", because I know how to build and last hit and i know almost all the champions, there abilities and all, and I know some strategies but i just can't seem to kill people. So if there is anyone out there that has some tips for me I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks
Why can't my son pause when playing League of Legends?
Okay I'm going to throw something out there that I don't think the other answers are really getting at.It's easy to understand why the game can’t be paused.I think it's a lot harder to explain why abandoning the game is such a concern and do you build good behaviors and expectations around that.Basically it comes down to thisThe game is social it involves multiple playersThe player is part of a team and contribution matters to the resultsThe results have enough weight that it effects status and standing with in the realm of a game.So I can see for a lot of parents the think of this some what like 10 kids kicking a ball around a back yard, the game ends when the kids are called inside or sent home etc.The player probably thinks it's more like “Grand Finals” for regional tournaments.The reality of course is somewhere in between. I'm an adult, I play matched games online and I frequently have to choose between delay are task and finishing a match, and there will be more then a few “in a minute dears”.I think there is a way to find a “healthy” balance, take the time to understand how the rounds work for your child's game and set expectations around that corresponding to his allowed gaming time.Try to develop good timing practices so that new matches aren't started when game time is nearly up or maybe only allow competitive games 2–3 nights a week, but with allowance for games to be played to completion.Don't be afraid of the competitive nature of the games, these train good skills and instincts and can be as valuable as any sports ball skills you'd encourage him to have…. But keep him honest about his skill level and the time and energy investment it takes to be really good.My parents when I was growing up didn't really get a lot of this stuff and therefore didn't imho set meaning ful limits or fair limits, so for the most part I just pushed or broke them anyway. My dad forbid or disliked so much of the stuff I fundamentally was into, towing the line meant abandoning my interests.I think that you will go much furthered taking the time to understand you child's hobbies and how they value them then riding roughshod over them.Take the time to watch them play matches, encourage them as you would their involvement in sport. Best mouse for league of legends?
The mouse doesnt make a big difference for this game. I have the generic mouse that came with my computer and i am really quite good at that game and do very well. That being said, if i were to buy an expensive mouse, it would def be a logitech mouse. They seem to fit my hands very well and the ones that i have had in the past font seem to be cheaply made or break easily. @The Person who wanted to know if it was Noob Friendly The answer to that is Yes & No. Playing Non-ranked games is pretty laid back, there are still those people who get pissed and with yell at you if you do bad, but honestly, most ppl who play the normal games are pretty bad. Its not that they are bad players but perhaps they are trying out a new champion that they haven't played much before or just want to practice. The game is super easy to learn, the concept is simple and the controls are easy. Even a first time player can pick up the game and be "okay". Once you learn all the abilities that each champion has and how people usually act in certain situations is when you start to be really good. Also LoL is a complete team game, and the best players realize this and play for the benefit of the team, not their own score, so playing as a good team member is super important too.
