I'm looking to buy a jacket online. What's the difference between lined and unlined and which is better?
A lined jacket will keep you warmer. If you live in a cooler climate, I would suggest lined. If you live in a region that is warm most of the year, I would go with unlined and just use layers to keep you warm. A lined jacket is going to give you more dead air space, which aids in keeping warm (think, long hair on a rabbit that stands up and creates the dead air space keeping them warm...)

If you are female, refer to the last sentence in this reply.Try it on, if it’s not too tight, get the same size.IE: This pic of off Google.If it’s too tight or looks too well fitted, one size up.IE: This other pic from Google, and also what you normally see on the street.If you’re going for an oversized look, IE: Something straight out of kpop, then two sizes up.Finally, if you’re wearing a coat, then the safest bet is one size up.(The answer is the same if you are a female. Just omit the first one, as skin-tight hoodies don’t fit as good on top-heavy women or just don’t look as good overall)

The guy in the picture is Jamie Bell. He was in one of ASOS' celebrity outfits[1] of the month with this picture. But they did a horrible job with finding a similar bomber jacket. It looks nothing like it, it doesn't even have buttons!In this article[2], in the Daily Mail, they mention that the jacket is Rag & Bone (6th photo). I'm not sure if that's the correct though. Anyway, it does not seem to be available on the Rag & Bone website anymore. I think it looks a lot more like the All Saints Whittman jacket User mentioned though. Especially since the sleeves seem to be a darker colour. On sale now! It's a cool jacket.
