Lord And Taylor Interview

Help !!anyone work at lord and taylor?

It seriously depends on the position for which you have applied. If you have applied for a cashier/salesperson position, the questions are going to be dramatically different than the questions for a manager or payroll personnel. They are basically going to ask questions related to the position and your previous experience in a similar position for another company. Keep your answers to the interview questions to 20 seconds or less. Smile and be personable. Speak clearly and do not chew gum. Always give a firm, full-handed handshake. Dress professionally and make sure your hair is neatly done and your nails are clean and free of dirt. Don't wear a lot of makeup or perfume/cologne.

What to wear to a lord & taylor interview?

First of all, you definitely need to look professional, and where things that are similar to what they would sell in the store. I would wear a suit, maybe a pants suit, in a neutral tone (khaki, navy, black, grey, etc.) with some black heels, a colorful printed blouse (which offsets the severity of the suit). As for jewelry, maybe a cuff, a strand of pearls, and stud earrings. And as for a bag, a smart, simple, structured, tote. And as far the questions that they're going to ask, it'll mainly be about your experience in retail and as a person in the work force. They'll also ask you about what you know about fashion, why you want the job, and your education. Hope you get the job and good luck!

Does anyone know of any sales at macys or lord & taylor?

If you're a credit card holder I just received some coupons that are good for a purchase of $15 or $25 off with a purchase of $100 or more.
The sale starts November 30 and goes through January 4.
I don't think that the sales would be different.(store locations)
Hope this answer will help you out.
The sale does not start on Black Friday but might still have something on sale in the store.

What do you wear to a job interview at a large company?

Always keep it basic, neat and clean.
Women: Hair pulled back or neatly groomed, no flashy rhinestone anything. Simple watch and jewelry. Cover tatoos. Neat heals, dark heals and wear hose! No open toed shoes. Nothing over three inches, you are going to an interview not the club! Dark suit, white blouse. No prints, loud stripes or loud colors. Its ok to wear a new style jacket like a trapezz or so but keep it professional.

Men: Dark suits, dark socks (if I see another man with some white socks I will probably scream), dark professional shoes. No cream suits, light suits, You can dress the suit up with a colored tie but don't be loud, yellow, khaki green, purple.

And do not come with a plastic bag in your hand or dont go shopping before. Have a professional folder or brief case when attending the interview. Have a copy of your resume as well. If they ask for reference make sure they are extending a an offer to you.

Is it okay to ask questions about availability in an interview?

I have two interviews soon, and I will choose the job that will offer me a greater availability. If I ask questions about that, will it ultimately hurt my chances of getting the job? I have an interview for Barnes and Noble and Lord and Taylor
i mean availability by working hours
in my last job my availabilty was low since i was going to school, then when the HR was cutting hours, i barely got any work days and since i didnt get anything over a month, my employment was terminated, so i dont want the same thing to happen again that is why im asking

What is the dress code for a Lord & Taylor sales associate?

You should ask what the dress code is. If it is a nice shirt or a polo wear a nice pair of slacks and be done. with it. Most retailers will offer you a discount esp since they want you to "model their clothes", of course they wouldn't want you to wear acrocombie there, but most clothes are very similar. So be yourself. That is what the customers want when they shop, someone friendly and geniune to help them shop. So make they believe that and don't dress like you are going to a bar/club. you'll do great.
