Los Angeles Jets Could This Nfl Team Work In La

When will the Chargers leave Los Angeles?

I'm trying to figure out if they are going to stay in Los Angeles are they going to play at the soccer stadium still or going to have a new stadium built?

They can't possibly be sharing the stadium the Rams are moving to as it wouldn't be fair to the NFL for scheduling purposes and most importantly...they don't deserve to play with them.

It's also kind of obvious even as the Chargers are successful this year no one in Los Angeles cares they returned back. This is about the Rams so either the Chargers need to move back to San Diego move outwards to like Riverside or San Bernardino, north in Ventura or find a far new home in Portland, Austin, San Antonio, Albuquerque or even Oakland for starters.

Why does Missouri have two NFL teams?

for the same reason why Florida has 3 teams & Texas has 2 teams

they play there and draw the fans

What do you think of the NFL's Chargers long term viability in LA?

As of now…not good. A 20-year lease in a city that warmly welcomed the Rams (should we say Rams’ Redux after having left LA several years earlier?). The Chargers are currently not filling seats…but that could change. How?The only comparison I can think of is St. Louis, when the city had 2 baseball teams. For years, St. Louis was a Browns team before the Cardinals became legit - (and therefore viable): 9 World Series between 1926–46. The Browns fielded several great baseball players (George Sisler, Baby Doll Jacobson, Urban Shocker, etc.) but never entered the World Series in their 53 years of play. What was worse, the team never rose above 6th place during their final 10 years before Bill Veeck - with the AL’s blessing, allowed the team to move to Baltimore.LA currently plays in a 27,000-seat StubHub Center - a soccer stadium (NFL mandated each stadium seat 50,000). But take note - even though it’s early, the team has yet to fill the smaller stadium.Chargers do have a top-tier QB in Philip Rivers (36 years old and in his 15th year) and DE Joey Bosa. If they obtain a Todd Gurley-like RB and another two studs on defense, their stay in LA might be longer…a whole lot longer

What hotel do visiting teams stay in LA when they play the Lakers?

I used to work in hospitality. The teams, not the league, contract out with different vendors in different cities. Usually these are very nice places, five star, $500+ a night, plus another few hundred for the 24 hour room service and another few hundred for the tips. Pro sports have a schedule months in advance. Remember it’s not just the players, but also coaches, trainers, etc. Sometimes there are group discounts, other times there other arrangements, such as disconnecting phones in the rooms (so that Quora readers don’t try to bother them) or maybe a conference room with a few whiteboards for team meetings before heading to the Staple Center. So pull up google maps and do a search for five star resorts and hotels within a 10 mile radius. That puts you all the way out in Santa Monica or Pasadena. Chances are, most of these places have pro teams and celebrities or politicians staying there very regularly. Or it’s at a place close to airports (not just LAX, remember we Burbank, Long Beach, John Wayne down in Orange County and several independent executive airports for private charter flight.)Hoping to catch a glimpse James Harden? Hoping to go knock on his door and try to seduce him?A lot of these guys are blitz exhausted and/or jet lagged. A lot of times the last thing on their mind is getting laid, instead they truly want much needed rest. A lot of the players have the room registered under different names so that if happened to find out where Sixers are staying, you won’t just be able to call the front desk and ask which room Joelle Embiid is staying in. Sometimes they use a family member with different last names so very few people would actually know this. Or an obscure fictional character.More importantly, you will have to charm the front desk guy or girl into giving up this information. Good luck. That guy or girl didn’t just land this job at this five star establishment. It’s really hard to get that gig and most of the time they have their sights set on management. So no, they aren’t going to jeopardize their job just so you can go knock on Kyrie’s door. Next, you’ll have to get past a LOT of security. Dude, these are places where the president and dignitaries stay. You won’t get to Giannis’ floor, never mind his room.So that is why the pros and celebrities stay in the five star places.

Why does Chicago have two professional baseball teams?

With respect to the MLB, the answer for Chicago is largely historical, as the American League and National League were started as completely separate entities -- competing leagues actually, so a number of cities had 2 clubs.  (The AL and NL didn't legally become the MLB until 2000).  Chicago (specifically the Chicago Metropolitan Area) is the 3rd largest metropolitan area, so is also large enough to continue to support 2 teams.  (tho at the moment only in MLB)As for other cities with multiple teams (in the top leagues), New York City has:  2 MLB teams (Mets + Yankees), 2 NFL teams (Giants + Jets), 2 NBA teams (Knicks + Nets), and 2 NHL teams (Islanders + Rangers).  (Brooklyn is a borough within the City of New York, so I'm including the "Brooklyn" teams as NYC teams)New York is the largest metropolitan area in the USA, and is more than twice the size of the Chicago metro area, so supporting 2 teams in each of the 4 major sports works.  (and actually the NY metro area includes Newark, NJ, so technically there are 3 NHL teams counting the NJ Devils)Los Angeles is the 2nd largest metropolitan area in the USA.  The LA metropolitan area has: 2 MLB teams (Dodgers + Angels), 2 NBA teams (Clippers + Lakers), 2 NHL teams (LA Kings + Anaheim Ducks), and 1 NFL team (Rams) -- but it is possible that either the San Diego Chargers or the Oakland Raiders (who were previously the LA Raiders in the 80's-early 90's)Looking at cities in other countries:  London has 5 Premiere League teams at the moment (with another 3-4 teams in their Championship League, which were formerly in the EPL)In La Liga (Spain's Primera Division), there are 3 cities with 2 teams (Barcelona, Sevilla, and Valencia), and 1 with 3 teams (Madrid).  Madrid is a pretty big city (3.2M in the city, ~6.5M in the metro area), but the others aren't really that big (Sevilla and Valencia are both under 1M in population)

What is the future of the NFL in St. Louis after the Rams were approved to move back to Los Angeles?

Since the league is likely set at 32 teams, the city's only real chance is to get an existing team. The Raiders could be that team, as they don't seem to be near any stadium deal in the Bay Area, and could only move to LA if the San Diego Chargers choose not to. The Chargers are expected to be in one of those two California cities, so they are not a candidate to go to St. Louis. After that, another team is unlikely. The Jacksonville Jaguars have long been mentioned as a relocation candidate (mainly to London), but their owner said he has no interest in moving to St. Louis. The Giants or Jets could leave Metlife Stadium as early as 2025, but a move to St. Louis is not happening with them. Therefore, it's essentially Raiders or Bust.If no team materializes, I could see the Kansas City Chiefs (and/or Chicago Bears) playing annual preseason games at the Edward Jones Dome, to expand their reach in the Midwest. In 2016, the Chiefs radio broadcasts will be heard in the St. Louis market on KMOX.
