Hi there and thank you for your great question!When I was 16, I was skinny and all my friends were more ‘buff’ and got all the hot chicks haha I then decided to change and started weight lifting. To get BIIIIG I bought my first tub of protein powder and I thought, my body is going to explode now! Well, what exploded was basically me. Because it didn’t taste nice, it was hard to drink as it wouldn’t disolve and, even worse, I didn’t get bigger!I know it has nothing to do with weight loss but rather with weight gain but the mechanism is the same as it comes down to….. drum roll… our daily diet!You see, when you feed your body with what it needs then you will lose weight. It’s all about ‘in’ vs. ‘out’. So if you are in a constant calorie deficit and eat balanced and healthily then you are going to lose weight!And here lies the catch as well: healthy and balanced!You need to know how many calories your body needs to maintain it’s weight. Then you eat about 250cal less. Most people go up to 500 calories and that’s ok as well. However, the more calories you cut, the harder it will be for you to stick to it! So do it slowly, get used to it, and then go for the next 250cal cut. BUT, never go below 1250cal otherwise you are going to starve your body and that will have negative effects on your metabolism etc.In regards to supplements - yes, they do make sense BUT they are supplements and if your diet is not right, then there is no need to worry about supps! Get your daily diet right first as this builds the foundation. I am trying desperately to lose weight. I'm 18 and have struggled with weight all my life. I would love to lose about 130 and need to do so in order to be healty. I have tried every diet in the past from low carb, to low cal and fat. I do not eat much and gain a lot more weight than what I take in. I am one string from giving up and I am desperate. I am going to give another try to weight loss and this time I am planning to use a supplement to assist me. I am also considering doing the hollywood diet on the weekends to help.
