Losing Weight Not Fat

Losing weight, but not stomach fat?

I have been trying to lose weight for about a month now and I have gone from 142 pounds to 132 pounds as a girl who is 5'7" and 18. It's great that I am shedding pounds, but I see NO difference in my stomach and that's the part I NEED to tone the most!

I run 3-4 miles a day, bike 5 miles a day and do stomach weights and cruntches. I do this 6-7 days a week.
As far as diet, I eat a fruit salad for breakfast, brand cereal for lunch and a salad for dinner.

So why am I not losing the weight where I need to lose it?
Can you give me some tips on what to do?

Thanks in advance!

How come I'm losing weight but not body fat?

Regardless of anyone's age dieting is a bad idea. The body is very good at recognising calorie restriction. Your body is all about preservation in a reduced calorie environment.A diet will prioritise body fat and reduce lean muscle tissue in an effort to conserve energy. If you continue the ratio of body fat to muscle tissue will not improve.

I'm losing weight but not fat?

I've been dieting for a few months now and i've lost like 20 pounds i'm now down to 160 pounds or 70 kg which is kinda low for me cause i'm 18 and 184 cm. But I still have fat around my belly so what should I do continue losing weight or what? The belly fat just seems to stay on!!

How to lose fat without losing weight?

First off, and most importantly, I do NOT want to lose weight. Not a single pound!!! However, I do want to lose fat, like on my stomach. There are a lot of people on here that have asked the same question I did, and all they got was advice on how to lose weight, not just fat. I've been doing twenty minutes of high impact cardio, weights, and forty minutes of yoga multiple times a week for almost two months now. I've toned up some, but I still have flab, and I don't have time to work out more than that. Will this eventually burn everything off? I don't want to change my diet, which is pretty healthy already, because I do NOT want to lose weight. I'm trying to maintain it right now, then gain some weight in a healthy way once I get toned up. So, how can you get rid of fat, without losing weight? I feel like I'm never going to get in the shape I want, no matter what I do.

Losing weight but not belly weight?

I am 24 year old male around 5,11 and I started losing weights since last 3 months ..I use to weight 125 kg and now I weight around 114 kg so i am losing 3 kg per month .. I am just doing 40 min treadmill and 20 min cycling plus increased my daily activities I try to walk more in uni ... and I am not eating fast food or sweet stuff .. food intake is moderate I have decreased proportions but not like on starvation eating healthy. But problem is I have lost 11 kg and I see less difference on my belly and chest area ..I really wana lose belly and chest fat so should I start muscle workouts or should I wait and lose more of my weight before going for muscle workout ???

What causes you to start losing weight but not fat?

It is possible that you're losing water weight, hence the scales are dropping, but you're not making any visible progress in fat loss. This can happen when starting a low-carbohydrate weight loss diet. When eating a higher carb intake, your stores of muscle and liver glycogen are up and this increases the amount of water weight you carry. If you cut carbs, you lose glycogen, which in turn means you drop water and can lose weight very quickly without actually losing any fat.Take part in new fitness & nutrition challenges by eating the right amounts of the right nutrients, you’ll speed your results without feeling like you’re on a diet.

Can you be in ketosis and still not lose weight?

Yes, it’s possible. Ketosis results from fairly extreme carbohydrate restriction (ie, fewer than 20 grams of net carbohydrates [carbs minus fiber] per day). Weight loss is the result of consuming fewer total calories than you expend through physical activity. So, if you are eating fewer than 20 grams of net carbohydrates per day (meaning you are in ketosis), but your total calories in still exceeds your total calories out, you will not lose any weight and could also gain weight. It’s important for people doing keto to also realize that much of the initial weight loss on keto is due to water and glycogen loss. When you restrict carbs to extremely low levels, the body will first use up any stored glycogen (which also has an affinity for water), causing a dramatic initial drop in weight. You are losing weight during this time period, but that weight is not necessarily the kind of weight you want to be losing (ie, body fat).I’m pointing this out because some anecdotal reports of weight loss on keto seem to suggest that one can lose fat without restricting calories, but this is simply not possible. There is nothing magical about ketosis or ketogenic diets. You can certainly lose weight on this type of diet, but without calorie restriction you will not get the results you’re looking for.My results from keto and calorie restriction for 45 days:

I'm fat how can I lose weight fast?

I'm 15 years old. I am 5'4" and weigh 160. All of my friend my age and height weigh around 100-110. I'm not really aiming for a super low body weight but I want to get in shape and be healthy so I can enjoy my teenage years without being remembered as the fat girl. What are some things I can do to lose 1-2 pounds a week to reach my goal of 130 by next september (when summer break has happened and school starts up again.)
