Lost An Earring At A Guy

Lost earring! Any tips?

Hey guys and gals, This may sounds silly, but does anybody have any tips about finding lost earrings and jewlery? One of my best friends just got me a really cute pair of earrings and i think one of them fell deep into the couch cushions or something because i fell asleep on the couch and when i woke up one of my earrings was missing. And please don't suggest metal detector because the earings are completely plastic even the part that you stick into your ears. Thanks guys!

On what ear would a straight guy wear an earring?

Always remember this: left is right, right is wrong.

My boyfriend got me earrings..and then I lost one..?

For Christmas my boyfriend got me earrings so tonight I was wearing them and I lost one in a movie theater...what should I do? I don't want to tell him I lost it, but I don't want him to think I never wear them. I was going to have my friend find out where he got them and then go get another pair. Help

What should I do if I lost my ring that my boyfriend gave me? He would be really disappointed about it. Is there any thing I can do?

Hi….I'm so sorry to hear you lost your ring..But what's done is done and no doubt it was an accident on your part…So be brave and just tell your boyfriend when you explain you've lost it and how upset you are about it maybe add how much you loved it because it was from himIf he's a lovely guy he will understand after all…everyone's lost something at one time or another haven't they?Your just making yourself stressed so tell him sooner rather than later and you will feel better…And before I go…. Just make sure unless your sure you lost it outside the house…I'd turn the place upside down…check pockets…bags…around the floor…under the bed…in drawers….jewellery box etc..You get the picture…Then tell him….And I'm sure this guy may just get you another…this time just be more carefulGood luck xx..

Why won't he give me my earring back?!?

So I hooked up with this guy I work with. He offered to bring me home. I went to hug him good-bye, then something took over me and I kissed him. Well it turned into an intense 1.5 hr hookup in his car, right in front of my house! Anyway, I lost my earring in the process but didn't notice till I got inside. When I told him, he said that he had already found it. That was 2 months ago. He still has the earring. He says it's still right in his car. But he won't give it back. I asked if he lost it, (he knows me well enough to know I'd rather him just tell me). My earring is in his car. Why won't he give it back?

What do you think of men wearing earrings?

Both of you are right on target. Sean, your story brought back a lot of memories! I had my left ear pierced at 39 in 1991. I thought maybe I was too old, but just wanted to do it and thought it would be cool to wear an earring. As you well know, it took balls for a guy to get his ear pierced back in those days. It was becoming more common, but older people in particular really frowned on it. I remember vividly being in the mall and walking up to Piercing Pagoda and saying I wanted to get my ear pierced. I was very nervous and embarrassed and must have turned beet red! Sounds crazy now, doesn’t it? But when I looked in the mirror and saw that stud in my ear I really liked it and figured I made a good decision. At first I wouldn’t wear the earring in front of family and friends, only when I was on vacation. After awhile I kind of lost interest and stopped wearing it. Later I found that I missed it, had my ear re-pierced, and this time wore an earring pretty regularly. It turned out I got practically no reaction from anyone except a few buddies who liked to tease me about it which was cool with me. Fast forward to 2008. By this time I was 56 but looked and dressed a lot younger than my age. I was in the mall — a different mall — with my 17 year-old nephew, who wore an earring in each ear and still does. We passed by Claire’s — pretty girly and creeped me out! — and saw a guy in the window getting both ears pierced. My nephew teased me into getting my right ear done and so I impulsively “took the plunge.” Also had a second piercing in the left ear. Totally glad I did. At 65 I still look pretty good and still wear my earrings — small studs or small silver hoops in both ears and a second stud in the left. Sometimes I revert to the old style and wear just an earring or two in my left ear. Can’t wear them to work but otherwise wear them a lot. I’m glad young guys now don’t have to go through all the hang-ups we had and the embarrassment we had to go through about something as trivial as a couple of holes in their ears. Pretty mainstream nowadays. It baffles me that many still make such a big deal out of it. As J.T. said, it’s only a jewelry choice.
