Which is better: Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator?
I see in most answers here how AI being an "industry standard" becomes a better preference than CorelDRAW. Which is somewhat lame considering how many of us (freelancers, students, agencies) use Adobe suite on a regular basis. For those who have not explored CorelDRAW fully, it can export files in .eps, .ai, .psd, .pdf formats unlike AI which has no export/save provisions to .cdr.I was a AI user till I switched to CorelDRAW and find the later much faster and smarter to work in than AI. Here's why :1. The interface of AI sucks. CorelDRAW has provisions to customize the inteface to a greater extent than AI.2. Setting shortcuts in CorelDRAW is like a dream unlike AI where only limited options to combine and create exist.3. Features like cropping of an image, masking etc. are much faster and easier in CorelDRAW.4. VBAs5. Auto-Backups (with choice of duration) for all files which is missing in AI.6. While the background tasks are going on, the work can be continued without a break.7. Importing multi-page PDFs into CorelDRAW (AI needs an external script to do the job)Having used AI, I do not find it superior in any way than CorelDRAW. For me, working on CorelDRAW is smarter.

Which is best, Photoshop CC or CS6?
I have both CS6 and CC 2017.There is a big difference, because CS6 still can use all the many third-party plugins I had ammassed since 1998. Some of those old plugs do special things… that no later plugins can do, for example the excellent plugin SMOOTHIE, from the Kai’s Power Tool Suite 5. When the KAI’s tools became obsolete, for some reason no newer plugins stepped in to fill what they used to do. Strange, that.CC 2017, on the other hand, can only use the latest third-party plugins… Zillions of my favorite old pluggies, it simply ignores. Yet CC 2017 has a slicker, faster, better GUI, so there’s that.Just this morning I made an artpiece in which I did the first few steps in my old CS6… with some of my old fave pluggies…. I then finished the work in CC 2017.

Adobe Sketch can only be used on iOS or Android. Adobe Illustrator can only be used on Mac OS or Windows and not on mobile. Sketch creates pixel based files. Illustrator is vector based.Both produce different looks. But the task can be done with both. What kind of look do you want to achieve? How do you want to work? What kind of file format do you need?
Is Dreamweaver considered a good tool for web design?
Not if your ambitions are high.I remember fiddling around with DW (around 10 years ago) to make my Photoshop designs interactive. It produced results quickly and easily, and gave me a great sense of pride and achievement. Still, the code was a mess, and I lacked proper control over what I did.As I started hanging around in web design forums, I saw discussions like this, and the harsh tone towards WYSIWYG-editors made me too embarrased to keep working in Dreamweaver. So I gave HTML/CSS-tutorials a shot. It felt kind of slow right away, but pretty soon I realized how easy the whole concept was, and how precisely I could control stuff with proper code. I didn't even have to memorize stuff, as I could google every selector or element I forgot about. From that point on, there was no turning back.If you want to be great at web design today, you should know how to build your designs. This includes writing HTML and CSS, exporting your graphics the way they should, tweaking the pixel-margins of a button, and generally knowing the limitations and possibilites of your medium(s). I'm not saying you can't leave a lot of these jobs to a frontend-engineer, but you should be familiar with the concept, and be able to lend a helping hand when a deadline approaches.So to sum up: WYSIWYG-editors are good for hacking together a working web site and may give you a desire to go further. If you're aiming for a career within web design though, you should get cracking with the basics of HTML and CSS in a text editor like Sublime Text.
