Lotr Fans I Have A Question For Y

Why do LotR fans say that Eru is omnipotent even though he is Tier 2-C, and not Tier 1-A?

Is the question referring to this system…Tiering SystemYou have to ask yourself, why should Tolkien fans use that system or one like it to define Eru’s potency, to begin with?He is considered omnipotent as he is the supreme being in Tolkien’s universe (the equvalent of god in a monotheistic religion), the holder of the Flame Imperishable and capable of doing things that no other being in said universe is capable of. The limits of his abilities, if there are any at all, are unknown (and meant to be unknown, and not really relevant to the story). As such, for all we know, it is quite possible that he would have been able to make a more complex creation than the one he does, but simply choose not to. It is therefore unknown how high he rank on that scale, as tier 2-C would be the minimum level, not the maximum one. Finally, you can have a look at Omnipotence - Wikipedia to see that there are indeed multiple definitions of omnipotence. I am fairly certain Eru Ilúvatar would match one of them.

How do you convince a Star Wars fan that Lord of The Rings is superior?

“How do you convince a Star Wars fan that Lord of the Rings is superior?”Thanks for the A2A. I see no one is touching this one, so how about this:Q: How do you convince a Star Wars fan that Lord of the Rings is superior?A: Have the fan sit down and watch The Last Jedi.Seriously though, you can’t convince someone of something entirely subjective. Everyone has their own opinion and can like something better than something else. You could try to correlate empirical data such as box office returns (Star Wars), or merchandise (Star Wars), or cultural impact (a little less clear if one is thorough, but again probably Star Wars), or any other number of comparisons (iconic film score… I love LOTR’s music, but it probably doesn’t beat Star Wars in most minds. Of course this is more subjective again).I’m not sure why you would want to impose your opinion about LOTR being better than Star Wars on someone else though. Does this person always tell you that you are wrong for feeling the way you do? If so, then he or she is being childish. Be the bigger person and ignore them.
