Low Income Question Answer

Question on Medicare Part B premiums for low income?

My mother just passed away and in her papers I found that she has been paying medicare Part B premiums for years. I think it was something like $92.40. I can't remember the exact amount.

My question though, is that her monthly income was only $700 a month. Should she have been paying these premiums? She had no dependents in the home with her. Seems like she should have been exempt since she is considered low income.

If she should not have paid these monthly premiums, can her estate been reimbursed for all the years she paid?

Good credit, low income, co-signer auto loan question?

Auto finance is what I do for a living and the friend idea is out.

Co-signers that are not related and do not live at the same addresses are required to have established credit together already and both must budget for the payments and meet the lender guidelines.

Your Dad would work but your right it will increase your interest rate due to his bad credit.

And just so you will know 17.5% is not all that bad, several States have maximums far higher then that like Oklahoma is 21% and Iowa is 27% for example.

Rate is dependent on several things including the amount financed verse the N.A.D.A. value of the vehicle, term, miles, age of vehicle and even make and model in some cases.

Good luck.

Which country has the lowest income tax (USA & EU)?

Yikes!  You are going to move someplace based on lowest income tax rates?  STOP!  You should consider a lot more than that!   I would consider the overall total cost of living, and the quality of life as being a lot more important than just the stated rate of taxation.Rates of taxation are misleading. For example, the stated rate of sales tax in Kansas is 4.6%, yet most municipalities add on up to 5% additional.  That's never shown in the  official tables compiled by those who supposedly are comparing sales taxes across the country.  Totally misleading.Rates of taxation depend upon how you define income, what deductions are available, and how your profile of income and expenditures fares in different tax regimes. So, you want to live someplace with low or no taxes.  I wonder what kind of quality of living you will have.  Will the infrastructure be a mess,  will the security be a problem, and will your neighbors be compatible in lifestyle and worldview?  Will there be adequate healthcare, good governmental services, pleasant surroundings and a climate which is  amenable?   Someone who enjoys the Finnish winters is not likely to tolerate the summers in Libya. There's a lot more to life than taxes.  Please.

Low Income Housing?

Hi I'm a 25 year old single mother still living with my mom. I really want to move out but I don't think I can support myself and my son on my own. I work full time as a CNA but only make 8.34 an hour. Things are starting to get really bad at home I feel like my mother wants me out (even though I'm paying half of the bills). Right now I feel low income housing is the best way to go right now.....

Why do low-income students need education?

Is this a serious question? Do low-income students need education? The way I interpret your question is basically saying “Why do these poor people need education? Why should we bother encouraging them to go to school? Why should we bother providing them with academic financial aid, extra tutoring help, etc. etc.?”I believe that ALL people despite socioeconomic, religious, or gender background need education. And low-income youth ESPECIALLY need education. But why? Because fella, we have aspirations. Some of us want to be a doctor, a fashion designer, an engineer, a teacher, an actor. We have these aspirations but the world is competitive. To reach our dreams, we need to be educated about the core subjects of math, English, science, history and so on. Educating low-income youth about climate change, sea level rise, STDs, police brutality, these are things that affect us. Low-income youth like us need to find an outlet for ourselves to escape the problems we face at home. We need to know there is more out there. More opportunities to explore topics that interest us, to help us develop skills, and get out of the socioeconomic condition that we were inevitably born in. — And hopefully return with ideas to make it better for others.I come from a low-income family. Neither of my parents graduated or attend a 4-year institution. But I know with the great education I’ve received along with hard work, I will be attending college when I graduate with honors in high school.

Medicare for low income.?

I will be 65 in January 2018 and do qualify for Medicare. The premium could be zero if you qualify for low income as per Medicare. They say the income year that counts is 2 years prior to turning 65. In my case that would be for 2016 (my income for 2017 would not work). However, in the Medicare application they don t even ask for income. How should I proceed?
