Lower Back Pain From Cheer

Back Pain? Cheer?

I'm a cheerleader, and 3 months ago I hurt my back, lower-mid, (I think I pulled a muscle). I tried to let it heal, then continued tumbling and it hurt again. I did that twice more and stopped because it clearly wasn't really better. In one of those I pulled the other side. My back now hurts to arch it, though it feels like it's getting a little better again. I can do running tumbling (no back handsprings). I think I hurt it doing standing tucks and back handsprings. I need to be able to tumble soon but it isn't getting significantly better. I have gotten x-Rays and it shows up normal. I have been getting massages, chiropractic and acupuncture. Chiropractic has been helping a little bit. I have been icing my back too. I have used an ICU machine on my back as well. What could be wrong? After cheer it is usually sore. I think it's my muscles because of the X-ray. Please help.

Lower back pain? I'm 14?

So last year I was I'm cheer and this year basically came home sat around everyday did nothing and last Friday I decide to practice my flips for cheer tryouts for next year and next morning I was sore every where bad! But as couple days went on I notice my back was hurting bad! Lower back pain. I can't sit I can sleep I can't walk without it hurting! It pops when I lay down some times l. My moms takin me to my physical for cheer next week but I don't think they can help. So any input?

I am a Cheerleader 15 years old and this summer
I took Tumbling classes and I was
doing fine until i did a front walkover
and my lower left back started to hurt
It didn't hurt that bad until i got home
the next day it was ok after icing it.
Sunday sometimes Thursdays
I go to Tumbling classes and so
I was there Sunday for my last class
because of school i was going to be
busy but so on I was practicing
standing back tucks and wanted to
calm down so I did a standing backhand spring
and when I did it I got a stinging feeling in
my whole back and It was so hard to ignore
it so I sat down and when it
stopped I went to Tumble again
I went to a doctor im using bio-freeze
and it worked on some of my back pain.
The doctor told me to rest and I did
for 1 or 2 weeks and I felt better
but when I started to Tumble again
my left lower back
and now my tail bone hurts
I don't know what to do I need help.

Lower back pain from cheerleading?

As someone who is currently recovering from low back surgery, please tell your mom to let you see a doctor. An orthopedic or neurosurgeon is best. They would probably order x-rays and an MRI to specify exactly where and what the injury actually is. Since the external treatment has made no difference, they may decide to give you a spinal epidural which would give relief within a day or so. Do not neglect having this taken care of or it will become almost crippling in the future. I put mine off for many years, and my surgery was much worse than if I had done it sooner. I might also recommend that you try to figure out a way to do your stunts without re-injuring yourself. How you position yourself will be of great importance to avoid further damage in the future.

I hurt my back while basing in cheerleading. What might it be and what can i do to make it better?

okay so we have cheerleading camp and today was the first day. I usually fly but i switched to basing because we have too many fliers. I am still getting the hang of basing but am not bad at it and the stunt usually goes up efficiantly. However, one time we were doing a straight up extension and i didn't really have good grip of the fliers foot so i thought it wasn't going to go up but we ended up still going and i snaked my back to get her up. If you dont know what that is its like leaning back then in with your back kinda like doing the worm and basing at the same time. After i did this i got a sharp pain in one of the vertebraes in my lower back. After it just kinda hurts like a dull pain all day. What is the best way of taking care of this? What do you think happened to it? Strain or Sprain? Btw i have no numbness or tingling and i could feel everything. and i went to the bathroom fine and yeah. i also have a sore throat and stuffy nose after this happened but it wasn't immediate and i think i was getting sicky anyways so it doesn't really relate. Thanks so much! i really hope you could help and especially a cheerleader would be wonderful!

Lower back pain during a toe touch or russian? (cheer)?

When I was doing toe touches by lower back was hurting. It wasnt hurting afterwards, just in the air. I dont have good jumps, and I know I dont sit enough. Could that be what is causing the pain?

Home remedies for lower back pain?

Yes, a couple of instructional physical therapy sessions would be beneficial. You could also warm the tissue by walking briskly and then try some of the stretches found at the link below. Start gently and slowly and don't do anything that causes great pain.

When you're at your lowest point, what do you do to cheer up? Appropriate answers, please!

I sit, and breathe and think to myself. You are enough. No person can give you that but you. I find that the best cure for depression is liking yourself. It's looking in the mirror and thinking, you're someone I'd want to know. Even if you have no friends. I want to help you so much but I can't. I can only tell you what to do to help yourself. So I'll give you some steps.Never put yourself in a situation where you feel, this is too much, I'm not gonna make it. This may seem like fighting, but you are only making our invisible foe strongerGive all you have into what you do, pour it out of you like you're a glass full of water, and don't stop till you've reached the last drop.If someone tells you that you need to do better after you've given your best tell them to fuck off. Or use nicer words, person dependant. We live in a society where people tell others, “your best isn't good enough, I'm trying to push you to improve it” this is not self improvement. This is bullshit. You can only give what you can give, never let someone tell you that isn't enough.When you reach your lowest point. Think of unrealistic situations that make you insanely happy, and hold onto them until you fall asleep, you'll feel better when you wake up.I hope these help, stay strong my fighter. Severe lower back pain after practicing my back walkover?! please HELP!!!!?

Hi im a 15 year old cheerleader and ive been cheerleading on and off for about 5 years now and in the past month when i would practice my backbends i would get severe lower back pain! Im not sure why.. yesterday i had competetive cheer tryouts at school and since i have my back bend kickover my friend wanted to spot me for a back walkover and when i did it my arms would hit the mat but would stagger and nit be straight and they cracked and when i stood up my arms hurt a little and my jaw started hurting?!?!??!? And now today almost al the muscles in my body hurt! Especially my back! I cant even bend backwards 2 inxhes with out severe pain in my lower back it hurts so bad to the point that i want to cry! Also my ab,legs,and arm muscles hurt too! Im not sure whats wrong! I never ever had this problem befor . What should i do?!?!?!?
