Lucid Dream Wild Tips

WILD lucid dreaming tips?

I attempted the infamous WILD lucid dreaming technique a few times. I think that my biggest mistake was trying it before I had slept previously. I've read that waking up around 3am is the best time to WILD dream. Anyway, when I've tried it before I am able to get my body to go numb, but I don't know what to do from there. When I try to move after a long time of keeping still, my body can move - I haven't entered 'sleep paralysis'. I just don't know what to do after entering sleep paralysis, or how I know that I'm in sleep paralysis. After a while do I just try to get up, an if I can't, I'm ready to start my dream? It seems like that would be a waste if after a long time of keeping still, thinking that you're paralyzed and getting up to find that you now have to start all over. Another thing I don't know is what to do if I realize that I'm paralyzed. Do I open my eyes?

I guess that the main questions I want answered are:

How do I cause sleep paralysis?
How do I know when I'm in sleep paralysis?
What do I do when I'm in sleep paralysis?
How do I know when to start walking around in my dream?
How do I enter my dream?

I know it's a lot but I'm pretty nooby at the art of lucid dreaming. I've only had a few and I haven't been able to alter anything besides materializing a shotgun into my hand. That was pretty sweet.

Any tips on the FILD technique? (Lucid Dreaming)?

Give it a few tries before giving up.
There's a good tip.

I hadn't heard of that method before so looked it up and tried it. Didn't work, but I had a lucid dream the following day... so thank you?

I've used a few methods to induce lucid dreams, and sometimes they work. You should try different techniques incase there's one that works better for you. MILD and WILD have worked for me. Incase you don't know, it's suggested you try lucid dreaming after sleeping for approx. 5 hrs to be in a strong dream cycle which is also referred to as WBTB method.

How can I lucid dream fast?

One of these techniques below might enable you to do it fast. But, you should do reality checks and write in a dream journal to.

There is a great guide here on how to lucid dream:

http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html

You should try to FILD, or C-WILD. it works better than WILD i think. search FILD on the internet you can't find it in this guide i dont think. Set an alarm to 5 hours after you sleep and try one of those techniques. It really works. Also ignore the numbness in your body and the sounds you hear in your ears. (It means you're falling asleep. otherwise known as Sleep Paralysis)

Yes, I am learning how to lucid dream and i actually had my first one two weeks ago. You can do it it took me 3 months.

C-WILD guide. Wake up 5-6 hours after you sleep. Lay down on your back and relax. Count to 100 like this. 1 i am dreaming. 2 i am dreaming. 3 i am dreaming. once you get to 100 sit up in your bed. Plug your nose. and try to breath through it. if it works your in a lucid dream. if not then try to 120. If it doesnt work this time. try again another night and just go back to sleep. If not try counting backwards

Lucid dreaming tips for beginners?

Well, what are you doing to try to lucid dream? Are you doing at least a dozen reality checks a day? These are essential to lucid dreaming because they get your mind in the habit of constantly questioning your reality, and this quickly transfers into your dreams which makes you lucid. When you do them though, you have to seriously ask yourself if you are dreaming. If you don't, your mind will not truly question your reality during a dream and it will not work. If you don't know how to do reality checks, post another question asking about them and I will gladly answer. :) Another thing you need to be doing is keeping a dream journal. This helps improve dream recall as well as assists you in finding dream signs, or things that are common in your dreams. For example, one of my old friends is one of my dream signs because she appears all the time in my dreams. Recognizing these dream signs can help you to become lucid the next time you dream about them. Now, which technique are you using to lucid dream? I would recommend staying away from WILD, or Wake Induced Lucid dreams, at least until you have had a few lucid dreams. It is an advanced technique and although this sometimes works for beginners, it is not common. I would recommend MILD, or better yet MILD mixed with WBTB. (Google them. It would take forever to explain each one. However if you have a question about a specific method or combo , make another question and I will answer it the best I can :) ) This is my favorite method and although with any DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream) the results can be random, I have found it to work quite often. I suggest checking out world-of-lucid-dreaming.com. This website has information on anything and everything relating to lucid dreaming. Good luck! :)

What are tips for staying in a lucid dream? When I get excited, I wake up.

A lot of answers here seem to be about how to enter a lucid dream. To stay in a lucid dream, the key things are to remain relaxed and aware. It's important to keep a balance of both, as each counteracts the other. If you're not relaxed enough, you'll wake yourself up out of surprise. If you're not aware enough, you'll lose lucidity.Relaxation starts to come naturally from some familiarity with lucid dreaming. When starting, even just reminding yourself to stay relaxed is usually enough. Once you have even a few seconds of lucidity, typically it's the awareness part that's difficult.Using bodily sensations (rubbing your hands together or spinning around) can be a good way to ground yourself and stay aware. Repeating (even out loud) the exclamation "I. AM. LUCID!" can sharpen things up. It's important to repeat this as often as every few seconds, because the slide into illucidity happens subtly and without you recognizing it.Relaxation and awareness (and the ability to sustain it), BTW, can be learned effectively through meditation.Best of luck!

My eyes flutter open during WILD (lucid dream)?

Hi, I've been trying to WILD using the WBTB method to lucid dream for over a week now. I always get to the part...where my begins to vibrate and I see random shapes starting to form. Whenever I'm at this transition stage, my eyes begin to move up and down really fast (as if I'm in REM) until they open up by themselves, and stay open - which obviously makes me fail my WILD.

I've tried everything, different sleeping positions and ignoring the fluttering, my eyes just open. I tried reverse blinking, it didn't really help. A blindfold doesn't keep my eyes shut, only black. Is it possible to WILD with your eyes open? This is really frustrating. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks

Sleep Paralysis - OBE's - Lucid Dreams - Tips & Advice.?

Okay. - I've been living with Sleep Paralysis ever since I was about 7 - I am now 14. I have Predormital Sleep Paralysis; which means it happens when I'm falling asleep; not waking up - I've never had that type of SP. At first I used to hear my dream before it happened - and without knowing had a Lucid Dream without even knowing with my first experience with it. Anything I though of - I herd - then I had my dream, my way. But, I've never had an OBE or another Lucid dream since then, and I would like to have either or both. Now - Even though I'm aware that it is merely the SP - I still fill a sense of evil and I here strand random and frightening things. I wanna learn how to turn SP into an OBE or a Lucid Dream. Also - if you could please put your experience(s) such as what you herd, when it happened (waking up or falling asleep) , what you herd/seen and how you felt. Thank you greatly! ♥

Lucid dream question...trying to use WILD technique?

These "falls" are one example of a pattern that might appear in lucid dreaming trails. Many other disrupting patterns may appear. Next time give the situations command to change by saying it out load and in an authoritative voice. You will be amazed of the power of that technique.

Regarding the hypnagogic images - lucid dreams are still dreams which means we have control over them but never full control (which is good since it way more interesting to leave some of the control to the subconscious).

Keep practicing and find the methods that work for you.

Here are some tips that I find useful:

1. Keep a dream journal - the moment you wake up, write down you dream. If you only remember a single image, write it down still. Many details will come up while writing. You will be amazed of how many details you forget in the first seconds of being awake. This will get you more practice of being aware to your dream motives.

2. Do frequent reality checks during the day - look at you hands, try the light switches, ask yourself: "is this a dream?". Get the reality checks to be a habitual part of your daily behavior.

3. Stay away from drugs and alcohol - they make much harder to remember dreams and to be aware of them.

4. Relax - Take a minute and have some deep breaths before falling a sleep. If you meditate, try meditating before sleep.

5. Keep telling yourself like you do that you will have one - especially when you are already in bed say: "I am going to have a lucid dream tonight".

6. Believe it is possible - it is a well researched topic in the academia. The best-known modern figure in lucid dreaming is Stanford professor Stephen LaBerge.

7. Think and talk a lot about lucid dreaming.

8. Have a look at the Wikipedia page and at the lucidity institution website.
