M Asking Just For Knowledge

Is knowledge really power?

I know everybody always says knowledge is power, but is it really? Or is that something which we hear and see repeated often enough that we just accept it uncritically? I’m not sure myself, which is why I’m asking the question.
Off the top of my head I can think of several situations where knowledge doesn’t give you much power at all:

1- You overhear your boss telling another high-level manager that you or your friend is about to be laid off. You’ve got knowledge, but how does that knowledge help you or your friend? Aren’t you powerless to change the pending layoff?

2- You accidentally discover that your husband or wife is cheating on you with somebody else. Now that you have that knowledge, what power does that give you?

In both cases, the way I see it is that it doesn’t give you any power.

Do I have to cite this or is it common knowledge?

It seems as though the question has been asked by multiple commercials so I think I'm just going to say, "A common question asked by various public service announcements on television is . . . " That way I'm explicitly saying it's not from a specific source. The use of the phrase "common question" should keep back the English teacher's red pen shouldn't it? I really think this is a common saying and as such it shouldn't require a citation. Even though it did have an original source at one point; every common saying originated somewhere. Am I right about this? Or do you guys think my English teacher will punch me in the face?

Please Help?! I'm not asking for the answer i'm just confused.?

Much of the information taught in Earth-Space Science would not be available if it weren’t for our remote sensing abilities. List two topics discussed in our course and explain how our remote sensing strategies contribute to our knowledge of these topics.

first question: what is remote sensing strategies?
I tried looking it up on google and was just more confused.

What is more important a degree or knowledge?

I’m not going to answer the questions you’ve asked in the description because I’m not qualified to give you educational advice. Rather, I’m going to answer your original question, “What is more important, a degree or knowledge?”Education is incredibly important, especially if you want to do something in a specific field, like become an accountant, a scientist, a doctor, an engineer, or a lawyer. Education is important. As for me, I’m not well educated. I’ve completed my GED, which is 12th grade. It’s equivalent to a highschool diploma. My reasons for not pursuing my education are not relevant for this answer, so please do not ask. Despite not being well educated, I have a vast knowledge about various topics. I’m well read, in my opinion. I love reading about politics, world events, medicine, etc. I’m so well read in medicine that most people in the medical profession confuse me for a medical student or a doctor. I continously read about anything related to medicine, because it interests me.The advantage of being well read and knowledgeable is that you can have a conversation with anyone about anything. You can have thought-provoking conversations with farmers to CEOs and you’ll continously learn something.I think education and getting a degree is outrageously important, but you shouldn’t stop reading, ever. I wholeheartedly advocate reading; read whatever interests you. It doesn’t have to be a specific topic, just read anything that gets your brain juices flowing. Not only that, but talk about what you’ve read, form an opinion, and be ready to understand from a different perspective as well. That’s when you’ll truly become knowledgeable.TL;DR - Being well read is important, but so is an education. Read whatever interests you and study for your career simultaneously.

Plz dont get angry ,just 4 my knowledge why cant girls control there pee,as we male can do?

girls and women hold their urine just as well as men (we, males and females share the same type of bladder ) If you know someone who is urinating frequently it could be due to a urinary tract infection (uti) or poor bladder control which is also a medical condition or.......they could be just using the old "i gotta pee just to steal a minute away and who knows whats going on lol..... i hope this answers your question t/c

Integrity without knowledge is weak and useless, and knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful?

Samuel Johnson wrote this about education. He was comparing, ignorant but caring, ethical people as opposed to educated and brilliant but selfish and antisocial people, Johnson was stating that, it is dangerous to educate people without a moral compass, or as former President Teddy Roosevelt once said, "To educate a person in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society."

"It's like the gun issue. If you teach a person how to obtain and use a gun, but then you also teach and give example of good moral character, you get a safe gun owner/hunter. But if take the same person with a gun and he knows nothing of morality or respect for the power he has, and if he only learns only the value of money, you get an armed robber." Quote by L. Pache
